Your moveset for Jolteon kinda needs fixing. What exactly is there to Baton Pass?

-Thunderbolt
-Agility
-Substitute
-Baton Pass

Maybe go with that? I'd choose Jolteon over Pikachu. But Pikachu has a variety of moves I like. Just its stats arent amazing. Well except its Special Attack with Light Ball.

I would choose the pikachu... because surfing pikachus are awesome! (good reason, i know)

BIG pikachu flaw, if it cannot outspeed the pokemon its dead. Go with Jolteon :x Btw why leftovers? It usually gets ohkod ._.

Often, Baton Passing a Sub is all you need. If you pass it to someone like Gengar, then there's no need for an Agility. Agility Passing is usually best when combined with a Swords Dance, not a Substitute.

I personally like the agility set for jolteon but maybe that's just me since all my favorite pokemon are usually slow.

As for pikachu, it's frustrating sometimes because it's so fragile. Still, it's a useful pokemon when the opponent doesnt' have that speedy pokemon to outspeed and OHKO it. I use a pikachu on my ash team but I also have a jolteon which i may use for more competitive battles. With nasty plot at pika family's disposal however, Raichu may actually be better than pikachu. It has better all around stats except sp.att(lightball) and with its superior sp.defense it can actually pull off nasty plot without the risk of getting OHKO'ed.

yea.. I forgot that the surfing pikachu could be evolved into a surfing raichu, very cool indeed, can surfing pikachu be breeded with a ditto to get another surfing pikachu?

c_dog July 4th, 2007 8:22 PM

well, raichu won't be able to use light ball, but it would be able to pull off nasty plot a lot better.

Whoops thanks Richard Steel for pointing that out. I must have totaly overlooked Substitute being a Baton Passable thing-a-ma-jig. I'm getting to old for this. XD
