Any Way
Hey, guys and gals. When I get my copy of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl I don't ever want a cloned, or hacked Pokemon in anyway on my game.
But obviously there are some Pokemon I need to get via online trades. I would just like to know if there was anyway you can tell if a Pokemon is real or hacked, and can you tell if a Pokemon as been cloned. Obviously before you trade them? Please help me on this guys. Thanks, BlueEew. |

Mew is actually one of the main Pokemon I have concerns for.

It's only legit if the OT is MYSTRY. Why do you have an Arceus in your trainer card if you don't want hacked dudes on your game? |
Thats not my team or anything, I don't have the games yet. There is a personal reason why the Pokemon was chosen. Anyway, is there anyway telling if a Pokemon as been cloned or not?

Most of the time, if it's a rare Pokemon and the person offering it wants something that is easy to obtain, their Pokemon was most likely cloned. Or they just like giving away rare Pokemon. With all due respect, ~Monty Kensicle |
Hmm, okay thanks for that information.
|
just dont expect someone to give up a real copy of a legendary like celebi or mew
|
There is no way to tell if a pokemon has been cloned, and it doesn't really matter as they are exactly the same as an original, also a decent hacker can pass of hacked pokemon as legit, but most of the time, check the ball, as hatched pokemon can only be in a pokeball.

They never give anything away here in the UK.

I got Mew from Faraway Island in Emerald, I got Celebi in the Bonus Disk for Colosseum, and got Deoxys from Nine Island. None of mine are hacked, so its possible to get those usually hacked Pokemon in the non-hacked version.

Hacked Pokemon I understand, but cloned Pokemon are still legit, as long as they're cloned from something that's legit, so there's absolutely no reason to dislike them.

btw, next time this topic should go in the trade thread. |
I've been wondering about those new cheated Pokemon that were caught with Blue Poke-Balls. Does anyone have a picture of one of those illegitimate Pokemon?
Merely for reference of course. With all due respect, ~Monty Kensicle |
without looking at its summary if you see a blue pokeball next to the pokemon then it's in a ball capsule not caught in one
|
If people read the stickys, and older posts.. we wouldnt have these posts every 25 hours...
You cant tell if it is cloned. |
there's a great stickied post on top of the trade forum telling exactly how to tell a lot of hacks- it's really useful
and there is absolutely no way to tell a clone from the original, so that's just something you'll have to live with |
