1. Yes if you have a wireless router otherwise you need to buy a Wi-fi USB connector (or in my language a dongle)
2. I believe that this should work between all games because it is not region locked (i have a US diamond and all my GBA games are AUS) In other words YES

Looks like i got another vist to ebay to make.

Whats it called?

Ho-oh arabia July 12th, 2007 5:37 AM

Yes. u will need a wireless router. If u don't have 1, then buy the wi-fi connection. but its not an actual internet connection. u have to plug it into a laptop via USB 2 work. also,ur computer must be internet enabled like thru ethernet or regular.
And yes u can. U must complete the game first though.

King Boo July 12th, 2007 5:40 AM

Oh ok.
ea i got the laptop and all but i think the wireless router would be way better?

wolfie1177 July 12th, 2007 6:33 AM

what type of internet connection do you have? because you can't have a wireless router without a dsl/cable/t1 internet connection. if you have dialup you need to get the wifi adaptor, otherwise i'd say just get the wirelss router for the usefulness of it for things other than nintendo products

King Boo July 12th, 2007 6:46 AM

Well i hve Broudband.
And i have two computers.
The Laptop connects from the wireless modem from my the desktop computer.
The modem is a Wireless Netcomm Modem.

wolfie1177 July 12th, 2007 7:00 AM

welll if you already have a wireless modem you dont need to buy anything

wireless modem=wireless router

Edit: I got one more thing.
Do you have to hve Ds Lite for the whole internet connection thingie?
Cause i hve my good old normal one.

wolfie1177 July 12th, 2007 7:27 AM

no, i think the old ds has wifi connection too. i have a lite though, so maybe you might want to look it up on nintendo.com or something

wakachamo July 12th, 2007 9:21 AM

^The old DS (or DS Phat, as we in the gaming fandom usually call it) works fine for Wi-Fi features.

wolfie1177 July 12th, 2007 9:22 AM

King Boo July 12th, 2007 3:11 PM

Allright thankz.
But i still don't understnad how you connect to other players and all?

Another question..
Can i transfer my pokemon from ruby before i beat the gme or is after?
What part in the gme cn i trade them over and how?

Mizer July 12th, 2007 3:39 PM

Alright I would also liek to clear some things up. In order to use the USB Nintendo WiFi connection, you don't really need to have a Labtop. Any computer with high-speed internet and USB 2.0 port(which comes standard). If you are out of space, go to an electronics store and buy a HUB. You can get a 4 Port for around $15. You know incase you need some more USB 2.0 Ports.

Champhev July 12th, 2007 3:42 PM

Can you use a wi fi connector if you have hi speed internet and not wireless internet such as using a cable internet set up not wireless

King Boo July 12th, 2007 3:46 PM

Yea i got all tht Hub,LapatopComputer,High Speed internet.
