Noob Question Please Help!

Someone says they can trade me good pokemon with all IV's 31, is this possible or are they hacked?

Pkmn Trainer Alex July 12th, 2007 9:41 AM

It's possible, but very unlikely. Can't really say yes or no to the legitimacy, but it does seem suspicious. Might help if you could check the rest of the info to spot anything else suspicious.

☼Charlie☼ July 12th, 2007 9:43 AM

I checked and other than the IV's, everything is legit. So if it is legit, and I could EV train them, these pokemon could be invincible but I would not want to have a hacked team and not know it...

diamondpearl876 July 12th, 2007 10:02 AM

If you have any doubts about it being legit, just don't trade.

☼Charlie☼ July 12th, 2007 10:10 AM

Normally that's the advice I would take but I would not want to accidentally pass up legit pokemon with 31 IVs.

Xbaseballkid93x July 12th, 2007 10:11 AM

what poke is it? Also, find out the location it was caught, level it was caught... and the OT

Ryu Hoshi July 12th, 2007 10:12 AM

well then your guess is as good as ares dude.if you want it go for it.if not just stay away

☼Charlie☼ July 12th, 2007 10:13 AM

As I did I checked ALL other information including that stuff and it is legit. And actually it's more than one pokemon:

1. Larvitar
2. Gible
3. Aipom (I don't really want this one though.)

Xbaseballkid93x July 12th, 2007 10:14 AM

wait, all three have perfect IVs or just Larvitar?

Pkmn Trainer Alex July 12th, 2007 10:16 AM

Ah, well there is something suspicious. XD Getting one Pokémon with perfect IVs is hard enough, but if someone is offering multiple ones, something just doesn't seem right.

☼Charlie☼ July 12th, 2007 10:20 AM

I guess so. I will do further investigating before I make any kind of deal. Thanks for all of the advice!

Xbaseballkid93x July 12th, 2007 10:49 AM

what are you trading for them?

Toothache July 12th, 2007 10:58 AM

31 IV is certainly possible in perhaps one or two stats (the most I've managed is 3, but that was a rare combination of luck and using 31 IV parents). Mind you, I do a shed load of breeding out for IV stats, which you can do yourself if you have the time/patience.

Xbaseballkid93x July 12th, 2007 11:21 AM

Hey, if you have a parent with 31 IVs, will the offspring get 31 IVs in a stat?

Also, do you know any good sites to check for IVs?

Yeah. It's rare that somebody would be even trading one of those, much less multiples.

What to do, what do to.... Well, have you questioned the person your trading w/ on the matter? They might tell you. If not, well then, that's pretty much as expected but try it.

☼Charlie☼ July 12th, 2007 1:28 PM

Well there's no pointed in asking the trainer because they know I do not want hacked pokemon so they will tell me either way that they are legit.

King Boo July 12th, 2007 3:22 PM

I doubt you should go for it unless the you know the guy realy well.

☼Charlie☼ July 12th, 2007 3:34 PM

Yea I am do not think I am going to do it because I do not know the guy very well.

King Boo July 12th, 2007 3:41 PM

Lolz hen don't do it.
I hardly belive tht someone can get 3 pokemon to IVS 31

funkeboodha July 12th, 2007 5:44 PM

the facts:
3 different pokemon with perfect IV's.

possibilites:
clones or more likely hacked.

dont do it.

King Boo July 12th, 2007 5:51 PM

Yea don't give them a chance.

Star★Seeker July 12th, 2007 5:53 PM

Uhh, No, pokemon that have maxed IVs are not invincible, they just have the maximum possible stats in one stat, and they would just have 5 - 7 more IVs then a decent team, I breed for 25 >, with my important stat being 29 >.

No, two from one and one from the other.
