I go for Dialgia. It doesn't matter how they do seperatly, it's how they work in a team. A team has 6, not one. To me, Dialgia can kind work as a tank with his many resistances.
|
I'll take Dialga any day. Thank you, Hoshiko, for mentioning Kingdra. Dialga is actually a creative type combo that's, believe it or not, hard to counter. You have to look at how to counter the two of them. If you're looking to counter Palkia, not really hard. A pretty big handful of pokemon learn outrage, and any of them given a choice band (particularly Garchomp) would probably be able to OHKO a Palkia. If you look at other moves, you're looking for dragon moves that are physical, because Palkia's defense is lower than special defense. That still leaves the incredibly common dragon claw, and the less commonly used dragon rush, and I'm probably forgetting something. Dialga has the two weaknesses to deal with, but they're primarily physical attacking types (ground and fighting). Fighting the only move you really have to worry about is aura sphere, because focus blast is so inaccurate, though more common. And ground? Who's actually going to use a special attacking ground move other than Earth power? So, after all of that applies, you have about the same amount of moves that'll be hurting you a lot. NOW apply the resistances. Palkia's not so appealing anymore.

Kingdra HP - 75 Attack - 95 Defense - 95 Special Attack - 95 Special Defense - 95 Speed - 85 Palkia HP - 90 Attack - 120 Defense - 100 Special Attack - 150 Special Defense - 120 Speed - 100 don't get me wrong, though, I'd use Kingdra over Palkia any day. I'm not too fond of ubers. Quote:

Palkia is waay Better, even though i like Roar of Time, Signature Moves don't really mean much if they aern't Standard.

Palkia.
It's pretty awesome. It's got massive shoulders. That's always been a symbol of masculinity. Dailga stands on all fours in submission to Palkia's awesome power. |
Palkia, he looks much cooler than Dialga. He just looks like a dog...
|
dialga is waaaaaaay batter than palkia look at him he palkia, he look as said above like godzila lol but look at dialga he look like armored wolf get it now? he is batter

its not really what they look like, their moves, stats etc which make them better than one another. its how the pokemon makes you feel. personaly i like palkia, i have both. but palkia appeals to me much more.

I like Palkia, he looks cooler to me, but i also like Dialga, but im getting Pokemon Pearl tomorrow morning :D yay! Diamond was a close chioce but Palkia just kinda caught my eye first/more.
What does it matter "who's" better, they're just pokemon, if they can both do lots of damage to a pokemon then i doesn't really matter. |

Palkia is better, actually. Dialga is weak to fighting and ground, two very common types. Palkia also has a max stat total that is 2 higher than Dialga's. :O |
