Well, that and the fact that as far as what moves Vileplume would want to use, it doesn't have much else going for it. With Sunny Day and, most likely, Solarbeam filling two spots, and the fact that Vileplume doesn't learn much else as far as actual attacks go, Vileplume would be at a disadvantage if something resistant to Grass or Poison attacks were to come out.

HP Fire handles this, by not only receiving the boost from Sunny Day, but handling various types that Grass and Poison type attacks wouldn't be effective against (like Steel). In general, Hidden Power is also a nice unexpected move that only people who seriously take the time to breed can take advantage of.

Oh... That makes sense I guess. Well good luck on finding Hp fire. I don't have the patience to breed for a special HP and then have to see which it was kudos to you.

A great example by Alex, but Vileplume recieved a great update on 4th gen. Giving him Energy Ball, Sludge Bomb being special, and what I use him for, Aromatherapy. Have a look at the moveset I posted up earlier. Sunnybeamer still works great with Clorophyll.

And Alex, sorry, but the coffee is wearing off, and that knocks me out cold. Seriously, thats why I don't drink it much. But on to buisness. Will you be on tomorrow? Or in this case, today? Its 1:30am in New York, and like I said, the coffee is putting me out.

Yea, it's 1:30 here too. I'll be on, though I can't say when. If you mean around this time, then probably, otherwise, I'll see you when I see you and hopefully I can help you out on this then.

Edit: And yea, I was talking as if you were using Sunnybeamer, but that was with respect to HP Fire. So if you aren't really planning on using Sunnybeamer, HP Electric or something similar would be good as you had already planned. At least, I think so...

This should be my last few posts, I can barely strain the caffine wearing off now to watch Inu-Yasha. Yes, that is the set I'm running, so if I don't get fire, electruc will have to do. Would ooka's suggestion of poke daycare work? In case your not here. And could I add you on my friends list on this forum? Your friendly, & thats refreshing.

Breeding for HP is always a pain, since the IVs are so unpredictable from one egg to the next. Getting a HP of a half-decent power as well is also a nightmare.

Luckiest I ever got was a HP Dragon (base power 66) Zapdos. It makes a nice surprise Flygon counter

sims, I hate to tell you this, but Exp Share gives EVs. You'll have to feed the Oddish EV-reducing berries and find some other way.

Yea, the daycare would work. You may or may not experience error with the calculator if you only do it around level 20, but if you wanted to double-check, you could always do the Kecleon test or any other type check to see if it was right.

And yea, sorry, I ended up letting my sister on the computer and going to bed. Sure, add me to your friends list. I haven't really used that function, but I'll go ahead and add you too.

At any rate, if you want to do the IV check battle now, I'm ready if you are. But if you would rather do the daycare stuff, that would be fine too. As long as you level the Oddish without giving it EVs that could mess up your calculations (which means yea, don't use Exp. Share either). Although, you really could level normally, as long as you keep track of what EVs you get...

Ok, I'm all ready. I can't get a good result from the daycare. I tried one at lvl 18 and got Fire. Then I tried the same one at lvl 19 and got Bug. A different Oddish at 20, he's apparently Ice.
