"Where do I find this Item?" thread

Lately we got practically a flood of such threads, asking where to find a certain item, which of course pushed other, more valuable threads back in the pages.
So from now on, please use this thread if you have a questions about where to find a certain item in DIamond/Pearl.

Angelic Diablo July 13th, 2007 4:33 AM

Oak gives it to you after you have the national dex (he is found in Eterna City)

empoleonrules July 13th, 2007 9:29 AM

where is a darned water stone!I love vaporeon

msdmario July 13th, 2007 9:32 AM

Either find some underground or migrate a Pokemon holding one from Fire Red or Leaf Green. Water Stones can be bought in Celadon City in those 2 games.

peabobo's sexy legs July 13th, 2007 10:52 AM

You can also find a Water Stone south of Valor Lakefront in the ocean.

Just keep digging underground till you find them ;O.

Pkmn Trainer Alex July 13th, 2007 6:24 PM

Earth Plate - Oreburgh Gate
Mind Plate - Solaceon Ruins
Sky Plate - Pokémon League
Splash Plate - Route 219
Toxic Plate - Great Marsh

The rest, according to serebii, seems to be found using the Dowsing Machine App., so I can't tell you the exact locations for them. You can also find each plate in the Underground.

wolfie1177 July 13th, 2007 6:29 PM

so you have to dig or us the dowsing machine for the fire one?

Pkmn Trainer Alex July 13th, 2007 6:31 PM

You can dig in the Underground to find any of the plates, but the plates you need and I haven't listed can also be found using the Dowsing Machine. (obviously, not just anywhere...sadly, I don't remember where, but I'll look into it)

Edit:

Flame Plate - Stark Mountain
Insect Plate - Outside of Old Chateau
Iron Plate - Iron Island
Zap Plate - the front of Sunyshore City lighthouse

Those are the ones you find with the Dowsing Machine.

Edit2: Walking encyclopedia? I'm just good with resources lol. Google is my friend~

wolfie1177 July 13th, 2007 6:37 PM

wow dude, you are a walking pokemon encyclopedia! i'll check back later if you manage to find where they are, but if not thanks for what you did find out for me

edit: ha, the iron plate at iron island, who woulda thunk it

and when you say pokemon league for the sky one, do you mean in the pokemon league? or is it outside it somewhere?

Pkmn Trainer Alex July 13th, 2007 6:42 PM

I'm pretty sure it was outside the building itself.

Go to the cycling road. In the house at the end, there should be one of the professor's helpers who'll give it to you. IIRC you need to have seen 40 Pokémon in order to receive it.

Where can I find a pokerader

I've just got upto mesprit when suddenly it disappeared. Professor rowan came along and mentioned about a pokerader to find it. Where can I find the pokerader?

Pkmn Trainer Alex July 14th, 2007 8:07 AM

He didn't mention the Poké Radar. He mentions using the map in your Pokétch. Switch to the Marking Map App. (#13) that shows a map that you can move different-shaped markers around. You'll see a monster's head marker flashing that indicates where Mesprit is. If you still need this App., you get it from the Pokétch President after talking to him with the 3rd Badge.

Edit: I'm unsure, but the Berry App. may work too...?

SS Ticket?

I downloaded Pokesav today to take a look at it. I noticed in the list of hold items the pokemon can have, the SS ticket is in there. Is the SS ticket actually available in pearl/diamond? If so, where can i find it. I know it is available in the previous pokemon games, but other special items, such as the eon ticket, and old sea scroll are NOT listed in the drop down, so it appears only pearl/diamond items are listed.

Any way to get them other than hacking, digging underground (haven't found a single leaf stone there), or by going to that one place behind Floraoma Town?

Get an Amulet Coin, put it on your leading Pokémon, and fight the Rich Boy on Route 222 using the VS. Seeker. The Rich Boy I mean is the one near a patch of grass...if you go there from Sunyshore, walk passed the beach and you'll see him. This Rich Boy only uses a Lv. 55 Luxio, and when you beat him, he gives...I forgot how much, but it's a lot. Just try it...go...do it. >.>

There is no such item that can do it. There are 2 abilities that can hatch eggs faster which are Flame Body and Magma Armor. Pokemon like Slugma, Magmar, and Camerupt have these abilities.

As for the Old Rod, you need to talk to a Fisherman in Jubilife City. He shoulb be in the building leading to where Route 218 is.

how can i find berrys like Nmb 40, 41, 42, 43 and so on?

CrazyD July 21st, 2007 5:43 PM

You have to use Thief on certain pokemon. Like for example Wild Starly, and Staravia have #40, Wild Bunery have #41, etc. Check Here for the list of wild hold items.

w ww.serebii.net/diamondpearl/wilditems.shtml

Also if you talk to the lady in Pastoria every day she gives you Berry's that lower the super-effectiveness of moves.

Fossils are found in The Underground, a special area accessible through the Key Item, Explorer Kit. You get the Explorer Kit from The Underground Man in Eterna City, and he will explain how to use it to dig for treasures, including fossils.

The Skull (Cranidos) and Armor (Shieldon) Fossils, depending on whether you have Diamond or Pearl, are the only ones available until you get the National Pokédex. After you get that, the fossils of the past games will become available as well.

Move deleter is in Canaclave[Boat town] I think.

I can't seem to find a location of this berry, but I don't think this is one of those rare berries anyway. I'm thinking you should be able to just find this berry at various berry patches that you maybe haven't discovered yet, or one of the many people who give free berries daily may give you one. Not really sure, sorry.

Kind of... You don't need a pokemon to do your digging at all. The explorer kit gives you all that you need to dig for treasure/fossils so on and so forth...

When you're in the Sinnoh Underground, use the map to head towards those shinning stars on it. Then when you're in the area of those shinning stars you should see them on your touch screen blinking. If not, just use your touch screen to search for the shinning areas. They will be in the walls for treasures/fossils and in the ground for traps.

Edit: They will also be in the ground for treasure spheres that have been buried.
