I think Mightyena looks better, but Houndoom is better in battle.

I think Houndoom is better.

Okay, can I post the new topic?
Who do you think is better at competitive battles? Sableye or Spiritomb?

HoundoomOfTheDarkness July 29th, 2007 9:02 PM

I'd say Spiritomb. Spiritomb can tank rather well, while Sableye is practically worthless for anything. Spiritomb also has a better movepool, I think.

Spiritomb, for reasons mentioned above, even though it's ugly as hell.

Spiritomb becaise it has a good move pool, and besides, I don't really like Sableye.

Spiritomb, however I guess Sableye could still be useful in the right circumstances.

I will post the next topic. Here it is:
What is a good moveset for Houndoom and Mightyena?

~Rene~ :t025:

HoundoomOfTheDarkness July 31st, 2007 12:08 PM

Woohoo. Houndoom is my specialty. Now let's see here...

Hold Item: Focus Sash (prevents 1 hit KO from full health.)

Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse
Flamethrower/Fire Blast
?

I never did figure out the 4th slot. As for Mightyena, I haven't tried to train one in D/P. I suppose Crunch would now be a given, but it kinda suffers for lack of a stat boosting move.

~Rene~ August 1st, 2007 1:47 AM

What is a good moveset for Houndoom and Mightyena?
Houndoom:
-Crunch
-Sunny Day
-Flamethrower
-Overheat

Mightyena:
-Bite
-Scary Face
-Assurance
-Iron Tail

Sunny Day, eh? Well, since Crunch is physical now, Dark Pulse is actually a better fit for Houndoom. Sunny Day is actually a good idea, though I would personally use something else for the setup. Nasty Plot would actually be good to get back your power after using Overheat.

Crunch is better than Bite, especially for Mightyena. 'Nuff said.

Shadow Chaos August 2nd, 2007 6:08 PM

I'm not part of the club, but as a Shadow Trainer, I must mention that my favorite Dark Pokemon are Umbreon and Darkrai. I also own two Level 2 Umbreon, a male & female, and my favorite Dark move is Dark Pulse!!

HoundoomOfTheDarkness August 2nd, 2007 9:35 PM

Well, Shadow Chaos. I almost thought that your Umbreon were hacked, until I remembered that Eevee evolves into Umbreon by friendship and eggs now hatch at level 1. Nice to see another supporter of chaos and Dark Pulse. I'm sure Dark Rukario would let you join.

By the way... Nice Giratina reference in your location.

Yes, you are right. Anyway, can you think of the next topic about Dark Pokemons?

diamondpearl876 August 3rd, 2007 5:25 AM

I've been inactive lately, sorry. Should be back soon.

I have a topic:

If you could give one dark-type pokemon to Ash, Misty, and Brock, who would they be and why?

HoundoomOfTheDarkness August 3rd, 2007 8:20 AM

Based off what each likes, Ash would have a Mightyena, Misty would have a Sharpedo, and Brock would have a Tyranitar.

Who thinks Spiritomb is more of a legendary than Rotom?

Shadow Chaos August 3rd, 2007 9:15 AM

I guess Spiritomb could be more of a Legendary than Rotom because unless you someone to play with, you can't get one from the Hollowed Tower (unsure if I spelled that right)... I had to get mine from the GTS. Thanks, HoundoomOfTheDarkness!

HoundoomOfTheDarkness August 3rd, 2007 10:02 PM

As for my answer, Spiritomb is far more legendary than Rotom. Spiritomb apparently steals souls or something, plus it's called the "Forbidden Pokemon." Rotom? It hides in electronic devices. Pathetic.

Well, I think Ash should catch a Houndour or Poochyena, that seems more fitting to is team. Misty, Carvahna or Sharpedo, well, duh, because they're also water type. Brock? I think a Sableye would be pretty good on his team, but tyranitar could just as easily fit in.

Well, I do. Spiritomb is harder to obtain than Rotom and has a much better back story. Rotom... is a little boring. However, I think Spiritomb is a good pokemon, but I don't really like it's sprite. (Well, it's sprite isn't as bad as Swampert's d/p sprite, ick!)

Also, I know there are now already two chat topics circulating, but this is one I just have to ask ^^

Do you think Luxio and Luxray should be dual Electric/Dark types?

diamondpearl876 August 4th, 2007 5:45 AM

Toooo many topicsss. =(

Who thinks Spiritomb is more of a legendary than Rotom?

Neither of them are legendary. They're not on the legendary list, and their stats aren't great enough. They're like Snorlax and everything.. a one-time encounter in the game.

I guess. It looks pretty dark-type-ish.. lol. That's actually a very good question.. =)

HoundoomOfTheDarkness August 5th, 2007 12:49 PM

Sure. Why not?

Crimson Arcanine August 5th, 2007 2:50 PM

Do you think Luxio and Luxray should be dual Electric/Dark types?

Maybe. They do look like they could be Dark types.

But Spiritomb is definitely much more worthy. =P
