Snorlax??????? ughh ~~~
My Snorlax is currently lvl 28 and I cant figure out the perfect moveset. I have belly drum, psychic, blizzard, and rest. my game plan was to use belly drum , rest, and after awaking from chesto berry, using either psychic or blizzard. Turns out my snorlax is waay too slow and the opponent usually kills me before i even get to rest. are there any other strategies when using snorlax?

Snorlax @ Choice Band
Thick Fat / Adamant EVs: 252 ATK / 252 Sp. DEF / 6 HP - Return - Earthquake - Crunch / Pursuit / Selfdestruct - Fire Punch / Selfdestruct [Note: I do belive that using Pursuit and Selfdestruct in the same moveset is illegal, but I might be wrong] |
Rose Reaper, that text is too small to read. As for your Snorlax, it will always fial. You overlooked one crucial detail. Belly Drum powers up physical attack, and all your attacking moves are all special. So you're just wasting Belly Drum, AND cutting your health. You're just doing your opponent a favor.
Here is a good Snorlax moveset, complete with EV's & all. http://www.serebii.net/potw-dp/143.shtml |
Blizzard and psychic are SPECIAL moves, making BD worthless. try EQ and return. Shadow ball is good too.

shadowball is also a special move.
for your snorlax, try using return or body slam for STAB. body slam has lower base power but the chance to paralyze your opponent is nice. then you can choose either earthquake or crunch. earthquake if you have problems against ttar, jirachi and the like. crunch gives you more coverage as you can legitimately hit everything and not have to switch out against a ghost type. belly drum was okay in 3rd gen but with fighting types packing close combat now, you're simply not going to survive at all without some sort of boost in defense. curse is better as it raises your defense and if you can get 2-3 curses up you're pretty much invincible as long as you don't let a heracross set up sword dance reversal. you have to breed for curse though which would require a female snorlax, and i assume you're not THAT competitive. The best moveset for snorlax [email protected] Immunity Careful 252hp 138def 120spdef -curse -body slam/return -crunch/earthquake -rest some people actually use crunch+earthquake but then you don't get stab. it allows you to hit more things supereffectively but you lose stab. [email protected] Immunity Impish 252hp 200hp 58spdef -yawn -focus punch -return/crunch/earthquake -substitute/crunch/earthquake yawn sub punching is a good strategy too. yawn to force a switch, then hit them hard with focus punch. substitute is an option too. don't try to yawn fighting types though as they're just going to destroy you. |
you guys are helping alot and all, but most of these tm's are only obtainable once in the game and i have already used them on my other pokemon. any help on that?

Forgot about the 4th gen changes with shadow ball. Brick break is a possibility too. He can learn body slam, so I'd keep that. Counter is good if you have access to move tutors.

where are those moves located?
