ThatInsaneKid July 26th, 2007 12:14 PM

They have to know certain moves, then level up with those moves.

Lickitung - Lvl Up Knowing Rollout - Lickilicky
Tangela - Lvl Up Knowing Ancientpower - Tangrowth
Piloswine - Lvl Up Knowing Ancientpower - Mamoswine

wolfie1177 July 26th, 2007 12:23 PM

actually, i heard they don't even have to level, just learn the move. i could be wrong though

True. I levelled my Yanma, and taught it Ancient Power when it learns it, right after that it evolved.

PokeWarped July 26th, 2007 2:31 PM

Actually, that is WRONG. You do have to level it up with the move.

No... my Yanma at like level 33 or whatever, learnt Ancient Power. Right after it had it learned it evolved in the same level... I've done it before.

Wrong. You have to teach the Pokémon the move and then level it up. You can see proof at these sites:

http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/mamoswine
http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/tangrowth
http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/lickilicky

All of them say Level Up with what whatever moved needed.

No you have to level up to it happened because you leveled up and learned the move at the same time

That just says Level up with Ancient Power...

If you level it up, and have it learn Ancient Power at the same time it still evolves, I've done it before, have you? My friends also have. Do you have a video animation to prove me wrong? No?

I've actually done it before, and if I had a camera, I'd show you, but sadly I don't, and wouldn't want to do it again just to try to show some kid who thinks he's right that he's actually wrong.

Whoa, kid? Dude, I'm the same age as you so that gives you no right to call me a kid. And you have to level it up after it learned the move. If you read the page I linked to it said:

Level up a Piloswine that knows the move AncientPower. (Use a Heart Scale on Piloswine after it evolves to get it to learn AncientPower, because it does not learn it naturally.)

That means that the Piloswine must know AncientPower before you level it up to get it to evolve. You can't get it to learn the move while it levels up because it doesn't lean the move naturally.

diamondpearl876 July 26th, 2007 8:15 PM

Um.. no offense, but who cares? Even if you do have to level them up, it's just one level. It's not like you have to get them to level 100.

Ichida July 26th, 2007 8:29 PM

Since it's lv100, it can't evolve, since it does need to level up and have the move known. Teach it the move via Heart Scale then breed it, so the baby knows it upon hatching. Candy it once and it'll evolve.
