Some more EV question

I read ShadowTails EV guide, and it helped me immensely. However, I have a question that needs attention, and he is not availible.

Other Items that give Effort Values
These items are the "Power items." All cost 16 Battle Points in the battle area.
  • Power Anklet (+Speed EVs)
  • Power Band (+Special Defense)
  • Power Belt (+Defense)
  • Power Bracer (+Attack)
  • Power Lens (+Special Attack)
  • Power Weight (+HP)

These items Gives +4 Effort Values in a stat each battle, in exchange they will lower your Pokemon's speed in battle, not lower their Speed EV's. Incase you didn't read the above, Pokerus will not make this give you +8 in a stat, it will be whatever value from a wild Pokemon +4 which makes the maximum EV's you can get from this item and Pokerus +10 and that's only if you defeat a Pokemon that gives 3 EV's in the same stat your item increases.

Here's my question

Would it still be 8 if I battled against a pokemon who gives 2 EV's? Like this:
Lets say I battle a Gastrodon. It gives me two. And I have pokerus. Would it go

The 2 EV's, times pokerus, plus power weight
2x2+4=8

Or

The 2 EV's, plus power weight, times pokerus
(2+4)x2=12

Which would it be?

Also, how do I spread pokerus? I got it in a trade, but don't know how to spread it.

I bolded the correct one.

*Sigh*. I was a-hopin it was the second one. Oh well. If I keep them in my PC, I keep the virus. If I don't, I lose it after 24 hours. But what if I keep it out for say, 14 hours, then put them in the PC for the other 10. Does that reset the counter, or is it the next time I take it out, I still have 10 hours?

EDIT: According to Wikipedia, even after the virus wears off, it is still active. They just lose the ability to spread it. They also said that a little smiley face appears after it wears off, indicating that it is astill active, just not contagious. I saw the face on the person's poke, the person who traded it to me. He gave me a contagious Lunatone, and he had a Smiley-Faced Ho-oh.

Would the above post be true?

i think you can get 255 EVs per pokemon, i read this somewhere. once all the evs reach 255, you no longer get the bonus. EV icreasing items increase the rate in which you get the EVs making the stats you are EVing go up much higher than normal. i hope that makes sense. i could have explained it in more detail.

Hmm, thanks, but that was a bit confusing. I understand the bonus, now I do, but I need help with this:

Would anyone be able to help on that?

yeah the virus of pokerus wears of after 24 hours. putting your infected pokemon in a box hinders pokerus. the virus will only go if the pokemon is in your team. another note, once it wears off, a small face appears next to the pokemons picture which means it can no longer spread. however the increase it gives in EVs are still their.

I get it! Thanks! So before it wears off, I should spread it, to like a Magikarp or something, and keep that in my box! And before Magikarp wears off, I should send it to someone else and keep it in the box, right?
