i already have 5 pokemon on my team that can fight back (4 sweepers, and togekiss. Im looking for miltank to be a support pokemon. thanks for the help though

Pocket Monster Researcher Archer July 27th, 2007 6:20 AM

yeah, heal bell & milky drink are primary moves on a support miltank. moves like thunderwave can also help to stall your oponent whilse useing heal bell.

bossman34 July 27th, 2007 6:23 AM

so how about this

Miltank @ Leftovers
Bold
252 Def/252 Hp/4 SDef
-Heal Bell
-Milk Drink
-Seismic Toss
-Thunder Wave

Sora_8920 July 27th, 2007 6:26 AM

Alright Keep heal Bell then,

Miltank @:Leftovers
Trait:Thick Fat/Scrappy
Bold Nature
252 Def/200 Hp/56 SDef
Milk Drink
Heal Bell
Thunder Wave
Psych Up/Body Slam/Return.

thats a good move set. thunder wave for a stalling move, heal bell & milk drink for support and seismic toss incase things get ruff.

yes, but it still gets destroyed by fighting type moves, especially Focus Blast and Close Combat. here's what i suggest:

Miltank @ Chople Berry
Careful Nature (+Sp Def, -Sp Atk)
Ability: Scrappy
224 HP/180 SP DEF/104 DEF
-Seismic Toss
-Thunderwave
-Milk Drink
-Heal Bell

chople berry allows you to take in a Close Combat or Focus Blast, and then Paralyze so that someone else on your team can take care of them. if the opponent has guts (namely heracross, machamp, and hariyama), then it's up to you if you want to take that chance. you can only use miltank for stalling really, and it really can't take any hits afterwards. you really have to pair it up with something else that can take fighting type attacks and can retaliate with supereffective hits, like Yanmega.

so basically, because of the 4th gen, Miltank can no longer be used as a full physical tank, so you really have to cut it down the middle and make it a support poke.
