Miltank is completely helpless to dark pokemon, Houndoom, which can take away Miltank quickly.

[email protected]
Trait:Scrappy
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 252 ATK/ 252 SPEED

Hammer Arm
Zen Headbutt
Milk Drink
Thunder Wave/Toxic/Heal Bell

Hammer Arm can take out Spiritomb and other Dark pokemon along with Steel and rock types which can pose as a threat to normal types, Zen Headbutt takes out the opposing Fighting types.

Whoo boy, this team has so many weaknesses to common Pokemon.

Here are just a few:

Salamence: It can basically OHKO or 2HKO anything on your team with no problem.
Infernape: 2 Fire weaknesses, 2 Fighting weaknesses, Swampert is killed with one Grass Knot, and Muk can't do anything with that terrible set.
Gyarados: Nothing on this team can handle it. Taunt shuts down your Miltank's attempt to use Thunder Wave, and it will basically rip through your team with Dragon Danced attacks.
Heracross: Muk resists it, but again, it can't do anything with that set. Nothing else on your team has a Fighting or Bug resist.

The biggest problem on this team is your Muk's moveset. Your only attack is Payback, which at best, in a 100 power Dark move (sounds powerful, but it isn't especially because it's unSTABed!)
Muk is already a UU Pokemon due to the problem it has with many OU Pokemon. So why make it worse by giving it a set that doesn't work?

Muk @Black Sludge
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Atk / 150 SDef
Careful Nature
Ability: Sticky Hold
-Curse
-Gunk Shot/Poison Jab
-Fire Punch/Brick Break/Ice Punch
-Explosion

Muk wants to be diverse and handle the things have an advantage over Poison types (Ground and Steels mostly).
Rest won't really help Muk. Its Special Defense isn't good enough in the OU metagame and the prospect of getting hit with an Earthquake before it can even use Curse just makes Rest a not very good choice. Explosion is there because its the only thing Muk can do when it's at low health.

Seriously, Muk is not cut out to be an OU special wall. Get a Blissey or Cresselia.

Your treatment of Forretress's EVs shows a lack of understanding of defensive EVs. The basic rule is:

If Pokemon's HP > 2x Pokemon's Def/Sp. Def, put EVs into Def/Sp. Def before putting EVs into HP
Example: Blissey

If Pokemon's Def/Sp. Def > 2x HP, put EVs into HP before putting EVs into Def/Sp. Def.
Example: Skarmory, Shuckle

Because a Forretress with Max HP EVs and no Defense EVs will take LESS damage than a Forretress with Max Defense EVs and no HP EVs.

Ok thanks
what can I do to get rid of those weaknesses you described?

Samson July 27th, 2007 10:06 PM

Absol @ Choice Scarf
Hasty Nature
240 SPD/96 SP ATK/172 ATK
Ability: Super Luck
-Night Slash
-Psycho Cut
-Stone Edge
-Ice Beam

ice beam for dragons and physical walls weak to it like Donphan. besides, Night Slash covers what X-Scissor does and more.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature
212 HP/224 DEF/72 SP ATK
-Surf
-Earthquake
-Avalanche/Stealth Rock/Ice Beam
-Curse/Rest/Roar

it's pointless without a special surf. why? well it's simple. skarmory, gliscor, etc.

your sceptile moveset is fine, but consider Expert Belt if you don't want to completely kill it.

you should make your muk Impish Nature and give it thunderpunch so that you aren't completely walled by gyara.

make your forretress careful/sassy nature. it's gonna need to survive some special hits like an occasional surf from a bulky water or a tbolt.

get rid of miltank. you have plenty of tanks and physical attackers. go for a mixed sweeper.

What do you think would be best to replace Miltank?
