Why does lotad have 6 legs in collesum? (insted of 4)

lol! Funny, I always thought it had four to...I caught 2 on my Sapphire (gonna go look at the pic now) and I've looked at pictures of it for a while now. Intesting...
How is lotad's name formed? I have a *guess* it's based around the anagram of Toad, but...

I think that is Lot (>[email protected]) and Tadpole, but toad makes sense too.

And yes! it has 6 legs

I could be wrong about this, but I think Lotad's name is formed from the two words LOTus and lillypAD. because he does have a lilly pad on his back, and I could be wrong but i think lotus flowers are the ones that grow on lillypads.
