I am eager to catch MESPRIT!
Here's what I have done so far!
1. Got all eight Gym Badges! 2. Caught UXIE (used Ultra Ball)! 3. Caught AZELF (used Quick Ball)! 4. Caught PALKIA (used Ultra Ball)! 5. My team are around Level 45-50! but now I am looking at my Map Marker to try to catch MESPRIT but everytime I go to the route where it is lurking about and so as I go there it jumps to another location, so any tips on catching it! |
It tends to jump almost every time you go between Routes and cities, and the jumps can be a lot worse if you are just flying around to try and catch it. Your best bet is to go back and forth between two places until you happen to be at the same place as Mesprit. I did this by going between Jubilife and Route 203.
Once you actually are on the same map as Mesprit, just walk into the grass to encounter it in battle. You may run into one of the regular Pokémon there sometimes, though, so just keep trying and hoping it doesn't jump again. |
Yeah, except I do it between Sandgem town and Route202 for some reason. Anyways, you might need to have:
~pokemon who knows Mean look ~ Wobbuffet ~ Pokemon with the Ability Arena Trap ~Many pokeballs ~ Ultra Balls ~ Quick Balls ~ Timer Balls ~Status inflicting moves ~ Sleep Powder ~ Hypnosis ~Patience ~ You need a lot of it |
Well if you dont have a lot of patience, get your masterball into good use, if you already haven't.

do what i did. catch yourself a Haunter from where you go after Giratina (one of the Lv.66 Haunter). take it to the Move Tutor and teach it Mean Look. Evolve it into Gengar, then hop on your Bike and use Max Repel until you finally encounter it. it may take some patience, but i caught it using my Gengar and...don't remember, but i believe i also taught it Hypnosis and Dream Eater. using Dream Eater once will bring it down enough to where all you have to do is keep putting it back to Sleep and tossing PokéBalls (in general) at it. happy "hunting". lol :D
|
Make sure you don't fly in between cities but ride your bike...tht way the likelihood of it running away is less.
|
hmm...thats kind of what we've all been saying...but sure... lol
