Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 7:32 AM

More time on PBR for me xP
Oldbury.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 7:34 AM

No one is probably even informed of our event.

People laugh at pokemon fans here.

Not a popular thing.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 7:36 AM

Glad about that, lol. (Reffering to the living far away post)

Anyway, what level are these Mews going to be?

Probably level 10 for a guess. Either that or Level 30.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 7:38 AM

Since I've recently re-started the games for GBA I have, I'd be okay with any of those 2.

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 7:38 AM

This is gonna be the second event I've gone to, I went to the 10ANNIV event, and go Ho-oh & Lugia.

Eh?

Wasn't that only in America?

Wish August 3rd, 2007 7:40 AM

I've been to no events. I get people to trade their event pokemon to me.

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 7:41 AM

No, there was one in the UK aswell, but the only Pokémon worth getting were Ho-oh and Lugia.

No one here, including me, would openly admit to liking Pokemon.

So you actually have the chance to go to these evnts and dont?

In which case, can we switch countries?

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 7:43 AM

Everyone in my school knows I like Pokémon, I would admit it to anyone, anyone who bullys me about it is just stupid.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 7:43 AM

Do you know that they like it anyway though?

My best friend used to like it, but now hates it, for some reason. :(

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 7:44 AM

Most people don't like Pokémon because of the animé, and they don't give the games a chance.

Alex_ August 3rd, 2007 7:45 AM

I don't blame anyone for not liking it because of the anime.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 7:45 AM

Maybe he grew out of it.

Like all my mates did.

I'm more mature than them but they stopped at 9 years old.

And now they bully anyone over that age that likes it.

That's the same with me :(, except I'm older, so it's harder.

You'll never figure out my real age ;)

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 7:48 AM

Pokémon has a VERY big fanbase.
Actually, I think it's the second biggest nintendo franchise, only second to Mario.

EDIT: You ARE right.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 7:52 AM

In UK, Its probably Mario then Zelda.

Are you 14?

Anyway back on topic (Pokemon)
Whats your favourite pokemon?

Wish August 3rd, 2007 7:57 AM

Wow, All psychic pokemon are the best ;)

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 7:58 AM

If you haven't noticed,
Mines Typhlosion.

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 7:58 AM

Kecleon :D
I dunno why, one day I just looked at Kecleon and thought: Thats so cool. xD

Wish August 3rd, 2007 7:59 AM

Gardievoir, Gallade, Espeon; Psychic was always my favorite since I first joined here.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 8:01 AM

Flying and Fire, My fave types.

So cool, I can't choose one over the other.

Wish August 3rd, 2007 8:02 AM

Phychic and Ghost pwns everything. I <3 them

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 8:02 AM

Dark type is my favourite :)

Cosmic Tyrant August 3rd, 2007 8:05 AM

xD...Aww..

I've been liking Psychics. My old user name was "Mr. Phychic" xD

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 8:08 AM

Yeah, Dark type was the best invention <3
xD

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 8:13 AM

On the original games, Psychic did seem to pwn all but, its cahnged alot since then.

in D/P there is alot of psychic pokemon to verse but luckily alot of pokemon can learn a lovely move called bite.

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 8:15 AM

Psychic only had one weakness in the originals, didn't it?

Yeah, I think it was Ghost.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 8:16 AM

I think so.

Mewtwo pwned pokemon so easily.

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 8:16 AM

Haven't read all the pages of posts since i left. I only been gone just over an hour and there has been 4 pages of posts.

Psychic and Dark are my favorite types.

Don't know what the weakness are for psychic in the older games though.

Wish August 3rd, 2007 8:17 AM

How does Bug?!! Bring Down Psychics and Darks?

I didnt say anything about a Bug?

Wish August 3rd, 2007 8:20 AM

The original type match-ups in Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow created an unstoppable force with the Psychic type.[7] Ghost-type and Bug-type Pokémon were effective against Psychic-type Pokémon, but in theory only. In practice, the only Ghost-type attacks that caused damage were the low powered Lick move, which in actuality had no effect on Psychic-types, and Night Shade, which causes damage equivalent to the user's level, regardless of the defending Pokémon's type. In addition, during this period there were very few significantly damaging Bug-type attacks. Furthermore, Psychic-type attacks were actually super-effective against many of the Bug-type Pokémon (like Beedrill) as well as the three Ghost-type Pokémon (Gastly, Haunter and Gengar) that existed at the time, since these Pokémon have a secondary Poison-type, which is weak to Psychic-type attacks.

Yes I accidentally quoted you. I'm just wondering.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 8:23 AM

Psychic could just go "HI bug" *Lifts bug in air with telekenisis*

"BYE bug"

xD, I think bugs should be tougher, the only good one is Herracross

I personally, don't want bugs any stronger then Vespiquen.

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 8:27 AM

What about Scyther?

I have always found that to be a good one to use. Especially if you have sword dance on it.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 8:29 AM

Yeah, when Scyther evolves does it turn Bug/Steel or just Steel?

Scizor is Bug/Steel, in case you were wondering.

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 8:32 AM

Haven't managed to get Vespiquen yet. how good is it.

Scizor is Bug/Steel.

I use it because I can't get my hands on a Scizor, and most people use psychic types so It comes in handy.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 8:34 AM

Scizor is a good Bug type then.

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 8:36 AM

I like Scizor because of it's speed and high attack. The Syther I am using at the minute I haven't been able to EV train yet. So it isn't as strong as it could be.

Eruption August 3rd, 2007 8:38 AM

I dont even understand EVs and all that.

I bet I will in a few years though.

Yeah, I didn't EV train Vespiquen. Mostly because I'm too lazy to.

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 8:41 AM

I understand them!
But I'm waaaay to lazy, xP

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 8:42 AM

I have only Ev trained my Jolteon. I did it in speed and special attack. with the rest added to special defense. I find EV training to be very useful. You can get Pokemon that are a lot stronger than they normally would be.

Midnight Beat August 3rd, 2007 8:42 AM

I tried, but got board really quick.

Wish August 3rd, 2007 8:44 AM

My Gyarados Attack is currently higher then its HP right now, so yeah EV training is good.

Its mostly lightning types that just beg to be speed trained.

like Jolteon and Pikachu.

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 8:57 AM

Speed training is by far the best for Lighting types and also special attack for some like Jolteon.

Also Espion is good for Ev training in speed and special attack.

Yeah, Kicking other people's pokemon over wifi is what making EV training worth it.

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 9:05 AM

I can't wait to start battling over wifi. But my team is not ready yet. I don't know whether I should transfer over my strong level 100's over to my diamond. I lost my copy of Emerald somewhere so I can't clone then. And I still haven't been able to clone on Diamond yet.

Midnight Beat August 3rd, 2007 9:06 AM

¥eah I know it's worth it but haven't played my DS for more than week. I guess I just got sick of it.

Dawg 2005 August 3rd, 2007 10:11 AM

I'm actually EV training as we speak. You can get +10 in a stat instead of the normal +2. I'm making a video on it, if you'd like to see. :3

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 10:33 AM

I will take a look at that video. I always like to know fast ways of EV training.
Is it worth transferring my level 100 Pokemon over form Ruby. I can't clone them because I lost my Emerald. But am sure i have them all on there anyway.

Midnight Beat August 3rd, 2007 10:35 AM

I think I'd like to see the video too, to see if your way is faster.

I'd love to see the video, too

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 10:47 AM

Is that maybe with Proteins and that stuff? xD
If not then that will be very useful

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 10:48 AM

I hope that that isn't just using proteins. I think everyone knows about that.

This place has gone near enough dead since earlier.

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 10:49 AM

Yeah, it was active earlier I think it was because of me :P

Cosmic Tyrant August 3rd, 2007 10:50 AM

I've always used the power items. You know, power belt, power lens, and all that good stuff!

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 10:53 AM

I normally use focus band.

There was more people posting in here.
Like Typhlosion-ex.

Anyone going to the Mew events in the UK?

Hideki~kun August 3rd, 2007 10:54 AM

Is ANYONE going to the one in oldbury?

No, Look who posted 80 times in the past few hours?

xD, Anyways I always use a Macho Brace. It is much easier then looking for Power items.

Razer302 August 3rd, 2007 10:55 AM

I am hopefully going to the one in Bristol. The closest one to me is Peterborough. But the date for that is while I'm on holiday.

If i can't go is anyone trading any?

Midnight Beat August 3rd, 2007 10:55 AM

Macho brace is only x2 while power items are x4, right?

Alex_ August 3rd, 2007 10:56 AM

Power items + Pokerus = EV training made easy.
