Your Way of Battling

So I've noticed that the threads in this forum sections have become kind of repetitive (no offense guys it's just an observation).. so I decided to make a fresh one.

I want you to write how would you battle if you had a real pokemon? Are you more the strategic type or would you battle depending on what your sixth sense tells you? Also are you more the defensive type or do you like to attack straight on? And last but not least if you could at least slightly imagine yourself battling your very first poke-battle, how would you react? Would you be confident at the very beginning or would you be kind of uncertain at first?

I'm not the all and all strategic type. I would prolly try to plan moves ahead, think of some minor strategies.. but I would prolly fight mostly depending on gut.. coz basically I'm too hasty to think ^^; But I would try more and more to think ahead, like make all sorts of strategies. My hastiness would prolly make me more the offensive type, rather than the defensive one. You know what they say: Offense is the best defense plus I'm to impatient to wait for the other trainer to attack ^^;

In my first real pokemon battle I prolly would feel that confident yet but I would certainly try to do my best. Whether I'd be dissapointed if I lost, depends on who I would battle. If I was battling a wild pokemon in attempt of capturing it, I prolly wouldn't feel that depressed then if I faught a fellow pokemon trainer. Not unless that pokemon was very rare and very hard to catch.

So here's my opinion and can't wait to read yours! :)

I'd be very shaky in my first battle, and probably use the most powerful move until I won...then I'd get more confident after my first battle, but only if I won.

i love speed and attack, and baton passing, i abosolutely abhor the use of legendaries, but dont mind ubers, becuase i can usually work my way around a pokemon like blissey( duh its defense sucks lol)

Knowing me, I'd probably be all nervous in my first real pokemon battle. I wouldn't know what to call out, for fear of something going wrong.

After a while I'd get the hang of it though.

I would go for offense with properly typed and trained sweepers, mostly. But I think it would be awesome to team up my Gyarados and my Milotic together in a double battle. They're both sea serpents. One's a devastating sweeper, one's a fearsome wall, they'd be awesome together.

PipeMan July 30th, 2007 4:33 PM

In a battle I would try to be strategic, just to try to look smart :P. But most likely I would be incredibly nervous and spaztic, the first couple of times.

Speedy attacks to send the enemies on their backs.

Craig² July 30th, 2007 4:53 PM

I'd charge into battle like a reckless idiot, pull out a Rayquaza and blast 'em with Dragon Pulse.

Shinji_ July 30th, 2007 5:59 PM

I think that if I was a real trainer. I'd probably be a bit like Gary. Always ahead of the game and keeping up with what I have to do. I'd be very strategeic and use alot of Powerful/Fast attacks.

I would try to use moves, like Sunny Day, Rain Dance, etc. to help power up my pokemons moves.

Evil!

I would probably be rather spooked then intense about my pokemon. And become rather Loki (check wiki) with my pokemon. Cast Sunny day for weeks over farmers who don't pay me omage. Then cast hail. MWUAHAHA!!!

Me and my Umbreon would be on wanted posters all over, for debt, and not rank in pokemon league.. as we would be rarely challenged and often run away if the other pokemon was even the slightest bit stronger. LOL

Otherwise, i'd be pretty much the same, train weirdlings Sableye, Shedinja, Scizor, Burmy. w00t, thats r0x0r!

One question that ima ask in here, and make a thread is this. What would you do if pokemon like Deoxys and Rayquaza were fighting in YOUR hometown like in the movie?

Lol, I would watch the battle.. I dunno actually.. try to stop them?

Shiraishi August 3rd, 2007 12:52 AM

I would be like a fusion of Satoshi and Shinji. Caring and strategic :3

Anti August 3rd, 2007 2:08 AM

I'd go all out attack if it were real life. There wouldn't be nearly as much strategy as in thRPGs so I'd bring out Dragonite and obliterate everyone, just like Gary.

Sir Beasty August 3rd, 2007 4:42 AM

id use straight offense in real life, and just try to dominate my opponent

~*!*~Tatsujin Gosuto~*!*~ August 6th, 2007 9:00 AM

I'm a toxicator type of trainer, and I tortcher my foes

:t354:TG

Ichida August 6th, 2007 9:08 AM

*torture. :P

As for the Destiny Deoxys scenario, I'd call my Porygon-Z to handle both of them. Dark Pulse, dead Deoxys. Ice Beam, dead Rayquaza.

Hawke August 6th, 2007 3:01 PM

If its real life battles, I wouldnt go relying on type advantages to win matchs. Anyone that knows anything outside a game knows that in real life, number values and stats don't mean &$#& when it comes down to it. theres a lot more variables to deal with to give anything like pokemon battles any set concrete numbers/modifiers. I would be stratigic, always thinking 4 moves ahead and trying to inticapate my opponents moves.

Ichida August 6th, 2007 3:12 PM

Too bad inticapate isn't a word, or you might have made some sense. Okay, so what would you do in that scenario differently, then? :P
