Im thinking that i need a wall os some sort im thinking of Dusknoir. Please fix or rate my team and suggest another pokemon that will make an excellent addition to my team

Azonic August 1st, 2007 6:13 AM

Probopass, seeing you need a good special wall. Teamed up with Tyranitar, it would be a great one.

[email protected] Berry
Trait: Magnet Pull
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 DEF/ 252 SP . DEF/ 4 ATK

Magnet Rise
Earthquake
Discharge
Earth Power

A mainly steel type killer, Magnet Pull to make it stay, Earth Power to kill steel types with a low Sp .DEF, and Discharge for Skarmorys.

Eos Aduro August 1st, 2007 8:54 AM

Im just going to note how bad these Natures are. You need

Vaporeon - Calm for special wall, modest for sweeper
Jolteon - Timid/Modest
Tyranitar - ADAMANT
Dragonite - ADAMANT (All of its stas are good, but if its a sweeper, needs attack boost)
Metagross - ADAMANT

There are some pretty good team choices here. You could make this team work really well. Dusknoir is a good choice. I never was a really big fan of Probopass. He would be a good steel type killer, but thats really it. Dusknoir is a better all-around wall seeing as it is immune to Fighting and Normal, Pressure, Its more annoying, and it would ber a nice addition to your team. The only other thing i dont like it that 1/2 of your team is weak to EQ, and that is probably the most popular move in the game.

Azonic August 1st, 2007 1:11 PM

oh yikes, Mamoswine, not to mention. that is one of the biggest threats as your only hope is Vaporeon there. O.O;

Lephisto August 1st, 2007 4:48 PM

Sweet, Im probably going for Dusknoir, could nayone please post the EV spread, nature and moveset for it as well, please remember to rate my team

Anti August 1st, 2007 5:16 PM

Like the team, just needs a special wall. Dusknoir is a good choice. Watch out cuz you have a large ground weakness.

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 5:26 PM

I like milotic or even snorlax for a special wall, only reason I don't like dusknoir is today, my espeon took 1/3 of a completely maxed dusknoir's health away in one hit(not sure about the 1/3 but if not then more than that)

Anti August 1st, 2007 5:29 PM

Yeah just be wary of that ground weakness while choosing who you want.

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 5:31 PM

Which is where a levitating claydol comes in handy.

Anti August 1st, 2007 5:32 PM

Yeah, that's a great choice. I would say muk but he's weak to ground...

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 5:34 PM

Definatly no muk with all of the weaknesses to ground in there. Another good choice is togekiss.

Anti August 1st, 2007 5:37 PM

Or cradily. I love cradily. Plus amnesia and he's tough to bring down. He also learns barrier and whirlwind/roar don't effect him because of his ability.

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 5:42 PM

Nobody ever really thinks of this but cosmic power clefables dominate.

Anti August 1st, 2007 5:44 PM

Good point. Only one weakness and BANG. Plus clefable isn't used much so people might not know what's coming.

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 5:47 PM

and I like how it learns meteor mash, not a good choice for it but still nice to have.

Anti August 1st, 2007 5:50 PM

Cradily should still be considered. It also learns mirror coat as well as amnesia. Score two for cradily!

Azonic August 1st, 2007 5:59 PM

I like Milotic Idea.

It can counter ground types, or go with a nice grass type(cough cough cradily cough)

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 6:01 PM

Well then go with this

[email protected] orb/leftovers
Bold 252 defense/152 special defense/100 hp
sleep talk/surf
rest/recover
ice beam
mirror coat/aqua ring/dragon pulse

Lephisto August 1st, 2007 8:19 PM

I have made up my mind, that i want Dusknoir, so please post ev spread, nature and moveset please and dont forget to rate

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 8:25 PM

I like this one

[email protected]
bold 252 defense 252 special defense
pain split/night shade
ice punch
WoW
Shadow Sneak/Shadow Punch/night shade

I would go with pressure for even more annoyment.

Anti August 1st, 2007 8:26 PM

Dusknoir it is. Ice Punch is a recommended move. Same goes for night shade. I'm no dusknoir expert, but there's a thread somewhere on the first or secong page of this forum that has some stuff on dusknoir.

Lephisto August 1st, 2007 9:02 PM

[email protected]
Impish
EV: 252 Def/ 252 Sp.D

-Ice punch
-Brick Break
-Shadow Punch
-???

I think this would work nicely but what other move?

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 9:05 PM

No you can't make it physical. It NEEDS night shade and pain split for predetermined damage. It also needs WoW for more annoyance. Dusknoir isn't meant to be a pure attacker.

Anti August 1st, 2007 9:09 PM

Yeah it's a defender with a good attack stat to utilize.
