Why Impish and the EV changes in Swampert and Lum Berry, isn't Chesto Berry better? Why Timid in Genger, instead of Modest? I don't have a Petaya Berry, what should I put?

And for the three empty slots on my party? What should I put?

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 4:39 PM

Impish is so that it can take hits, and lum berry just in case you get any other status condition like sleep powder before you get to rest. Timid makes it faster to outrun things and then you can substitute down and activate the petaya berry.

I'd implement a wall like regice or regirock to do some serious damage to the sweepers. Those defenses are outstanding. A tank wouldn't hurt either. Something like lapras that can take a few hits (cuz swampert is the only poke on your team that can take a hit).

Is Bronzong a good pokémon to add? If yes, what moveset should I use?

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 4:50 PM

If you have wi-fi I can try and get you one, but anyways I would definatly add a couple walls here are some just choose one from each category and I will give you the moveset for them

Physical walls:

tangrowth
skarmory
cloyster
foretress
steelix
aggron
batiodon
probopass

that's not all but they are most of them

special walls:

blissey
milotic
snorlax
probopass
mantine
bastiodon
dusknoir
umbreon

this is a good mixed wall:
bronzong

Anti August 1st, 2007 4:52 PM

Aggron is 4x weak to ground and fighting so I'd rule him out.

Pikachu.exe August 1st, 2007 4:53 PM

I choose Tangrowth and Snorlax.

Anti August 1st, 2007 4:55 PM

An infernape beats 3 out of 5 of your pokemon. Ayways the last slot is really up to you. A BPer, rapid spinner, or whatever is fine.

Akuchiki Byakuya August 1st, 2007 5:00 PM

I like the sound of that, well this is the tangrowth I use(that's right, I picked this one as well)

[email protected]
Impish
252 hp/252 def
leech seed
sleep powder/sunny day
power whip
knock off/solar beam

I bolded the ones I use and left the others as options

Next is
[email protected]/lum berry
Careful
252 special defense/252 hp(I have heard that some should be put in attack and defense but I didn't with mine because I only bring it out against pokemon like milotic, slowbro, etc. But do with it what you will.)
sleep talk/earthquake
rest
curse/belly drum
I go with crunch as the last one for those pesky bronzongs but do with this one what you like.

Pikachu.exe August 2nd, 2007 12:49 PM

Thanks for your help! And what should I use as the 6th pokémon?

Akuchiki Byakuya August 2nd, 2007 1:24 PM

I would go with a bronzong

[email protected]
Bold 252 hp/200 defense/58 special defense
Light screen
gyro ball
trick room
rest

What EVs should I give it, since I'll use in my regular team?

Akuchiki Byakuya August 2nd, 2007 2:58 PM

it has an ev spread in the post.

Oh, I didn't notice. But you didn't answer, instead of Petaya Berry what item should I give Gengar?

Akuchiki Byakuya August 2nd, 2007 4:56 PM

I guess you could give it wise glasses, or leftovers. And if you aren't using the petaya berry then get rid of substitute on that list for giga drain/energy ball/psychic.
