The Invisible Shiny Bulbasaur Lurking in the Mine

Has anyone encountered that yet? I haven't.

PokeWarped August 2nd, 2007 12:07 PM

What is it? And where is it?

Random August 2nd, 2007 12:08 PM

What the... a shiny invisible bulbasaur, i never heard such a thing?

Tentachu August 2nd, 2007 12:09 PM

It is a glitch that has no sprite, makes the sound of a Bulbasaur and appears shiny. If you attack it, it says there is no target and the battle ends.

Random August 2nd, 2007 12:11 PM

That must be a glitch, it never happened to me, at the oreburgh mines.

EDIT: btw you should of tried catching it, especially if its shiny.

Tentachu August 2nd, 2007 12:14 PM

I've been looking for ages now...Nothing...

Its probably a once in a life time glitch :P

PokeWarped August 2nd, 2007 12:21 PM

Sweet! That gives me an idea for the Pink Panther...

Want to hear it?

Roihu August 2nd, 2007 4:14 PM

I bet this bulbasaur doesn't even exist...

pm_41 August 2nd, 2007 4:43 PM

This must be the D/P version of Missingno.

Roihu August 2nd, 2007 4:44 PM

If it exists. >_>
Where is there any actualy proof of this? :\

Lone--Wanderer August 2nd, 2007 5:01 PM

Shining and invisible? Reminds me of the Invisible Pink Unicorn parody religon, lol.

I seriously doubt that, its just a sprite missing glitch with a different pokemon cry.

not so. i've come across it before i had encountered anything new (because i had to start again...grr...), except mine had an actual image of a Bulbasaur. which makes you wonder. i didn't want to take any chances of knocking it out, so i threw a PokéBall...almost had it, too. :'(

so, the search continues. if i find it again, i'll post it here. i will find the elusive son of a piehole. lol

~Mithos~ August 2nd, 2007 5:21 PM

umm, if you have an AR hack a masterball at begining to see if you can snag it.

also this kind of looks cool, I don't really have time to search for it though, so I'll leave it to you guys.

Well on some other thread, i remember reading that a dude catch a level 20 ivysaur with careful nature, somewhere around route 210's, that might be part of the glitch... T.T hard to say.

linkinpark187 August 2nd, 2007 5:30 PM

yeah, i remember exactly (kind of exactly, lol) that it was on Route 215. i tried looking for it, but i didn't have that much patience at that point in time. but now that i've found that shiny Bulbasaur...muah ha ha ha ha! lol

okay, so... whats bulbasaurs stats, what does it say? Or did you just cheat, to be funny.

~Mithos~ August 2nd, 2007 5:59 PM

and my post is skipped like always... well just so this message isn't totally spam,

why wouldn't the guy keep it as a bulbasaur instead of an ivysaur?

Adventure-Chan August 2nd, 2007 6:07 PM

How many times have you encountered it?

RiderLeangle August 2nd, 2007 8:39 PM

There is proof of its existance because I saw a youtube video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jltCqqkywRI

And if its possible to encounter one without a Gameshark/ActionReplay/Other Cheat Device can it be caught? A level 0 spriteless Bublasaur cry with Shiny Stars is pretty damn awesome!

Random August 2nd, 2007 8:52 PM

Awesome, nice proof, so it can happen to anyone.:P

Star★Seeker August 2nd, 2007 8:58 PM

I'll look and maybe catch it, can It harm my game, if not I'll use one of my six Master Balls.

Naruto_Ninja August 2nd, 2007 9:09 PM

thats really cool but isnt there a very tiny chance of seeing it there? anyways if i encouter (ever) ill use one of my 799 masterballs...mwahahha...boring

HoundoomOfTheDarkness August 2nd, 2007 9:18 PM

!!!

I know this one!

My little brother was playing with his action replay code for wild Pokemon modification, which worked basically on "Number of item in first slot of inventory=number of Pokemon. Example, have 151 masterballs in the first slot, and you find Mew. Anyway, he threw away *ALL* his items, (he didn't save, he was just messing around), and used the code. What he found afterwards was a blank shadow on the ground for the foe Pokemon, which had Bulbasaur's cry and was shiny. Oh yeah, and there was a pixelated mess right at the top of the screen. In other words... this "shiny invisible Bulbasaur" is none other than D/P's #0: MissingNo.

And to think I was going to say you were out of your mind. ^^ Not that I know how to see it without cheating...
