Happiness

I was wondering what are some good ways to get a pokemon's happiness up?

TheGreatMothim August 2nd, 2007 3:35 PM

take it to the massager. There are also berries, but they have effects like dropping attack points, defense points and HP points.

I think having lots of badges as well. Cause My Budew didn't evolve until level 35 which I just chucked it after that!

My happiny evolved at lv 13 with a round stone and sending it to the messager 2 times.

Ya it just sux that you can only get a massage once a day.

TheGreatMothim August 2nd, 2007 3:43 PM

Well if you get all the ribbons for a Pokemon - All ranks - You can get a full massage in the battle park afterwards. Otherwise tehy won't let you in there shop.

You also forgot about that bell thingy....forgot it's name. :P
Right Soothe bell.

Oh ya... thats right, wow I always forget that thingy.

dont forget you can walk a certain amount of steps to increase a pokemons happiness, plus with soothe bell, its faster.

Equip a soothe bell and give about 18 of those EV stat reducing berries. That should be more than enough to evolve a Pokemon through happiness assuming the base happiness of that Pokemon starts at 70.

I've done this when I was IV breeding Lucarios. Since you had to evolve Riolu to breed, I used this method to get him to evolve faster.

poffins are also good also if your catching it catch it in a luxury ball

And Vitamins. If you're training a Poke up you can both get its happiness nice and high and save time EV training by giving them a bunch of Vitamins.
