Honey Tree

I've used my honey on a honey tree and was wondering if it works if my ds is turned off or do i have to be playing for it to take effect? Also how long roughly does it take for it to makey a tree shakey xD

It works if your DS is turned off and it takes about 7 hours....

honey trees

is there any wy to increase my odds of finding a munchlax or heracross or something else rare found in a honey tree

Only way I know is to save game next to tree and keep reseting.
I norm get the damn Monkey thing.

I don't think reseting works, because I had Cherubi on a Tree and it kept appearing and I was just trying to get a good natured one. I reset once and grabbed one of my Synchronizers so I could get the right nature. Many people do this method, get a lot of honey (buy it in Floroma Meadow or get like 5 combee's and battle a lot of times, you'll eventually have a lot.) spread honey on a punch of trees before you go to sleep, remember where you put them (I use the application on the Poketch that lets you track fleeing Pokemon.) and then when you wake up each tree should be shaking and you might encounter rarer Pokemon...

Yeah, wait exactly twelve hours after you put the honey on the tree. The more the tree shakes, the rarer the pokemon.

Reseting does not work for pokemon, but it does for gender. So you could keep reseting until you find a female combee.

^^ Gender, stats and nature all all changed when you reset each time.

It's kinda too bad that the Pokemon doesn't change, I've been getting like 10 Combees in a row...

It depends what time of day, and I think it depends on which version you are using. I had like 20 Combee's on the Floaroma tree before I got a female, but on Pearl I got Burmy. Also, the tree west of Eterna gives me nothing but Wurmples ¬_¬

This thread is incredibly helpful, just took a while for me to find it.
