Try not to double post at all costs.

You website needs a lot of improving. You need to learn to make better graphics. You also need to change the font and add a background of some sort. There are a lot of other things to improve on which I won't list.

I rate your website 3/10.

Ya, I know that the Graphics are bad , but hey , it's getting better than my older layouts , like this one http://www.freewebs.com/pokemon157/oldpage.html .
I had some older ones , but my site has crashed on me 2 times , now I've learned to back up weekly. Also the graphics , I'm not the best at , I'll have to have someone help me with that.

Craig² August 4th, 2007 1:28 AM

1. Needs much better graphics. Your current ones are just images with sloppy writing on them and that isn't exactly appealing.

2. Content; you need better content. The idea of the guides and info is nice and all, but you need to make them more thorough and clearer.

3. Text; you should make the next better and more appealing to visitors.

4. Uneeded Ads; Why, exactly is the clubpenguin link there?

5. Extra Images; That meowth thing is pretty annoying, completely uneeded and an eyesore. I sugest deleting it along with the News text beside it.

6. Layout; make an actual layout to center and organize things. It doesn't even have to be anything elaborate.

7. Navigation ; You should have this more centered and focused. A site's content is after all the most important thing.

8. Background Music ; Not many people like to be annoyed by music when they're browsing a website.

9. Forum; The added forum is basically unfinished and weird and the whole Clubpenguin thing is pretty annoying.

10. Inaccurate content; some of your content is inaccurate which isn't good at all! Example, your Mystery Gift information. That isn't how you obtain an MG. You obtain MG's via AR and events. That just unlocks the system to use mystery gifts.

0/10..

Sorry for being harsh but I found 10 big things wrong it it. Improve it and hopefully it will be a success.

Hm...Well, it seems I have the same comments...

My views:
You last page's banner was WAY better than your current page's banner...You should have not written it Paint and expanded it...It's just really weird...

FreeWeb's is not a good host...So, I think you should switch to some other hosts...Try: http://mihopa.net/ or some other good hosting sites...not a freewebs...

Also, you should find someone to make a good layout and code it up for you! Or just use a good free layout...You can find loads of them around the net!

But...Since you just started...well, I give it a 2/10...Sorry...But you need to improve a lot and make a number of contents! I know you are working on it, so keep at it!

Btw...I didn't hear any background music? o.o

Alright. I don't really like your site. (*.*)

First of all, the banner. The banner isn't attracting. It's unprofessional and kinda boring... You need to be more creative. If you use Photoshop, you will have many more options rather than using Paint. <- Don't want to sound rude though! ^^'

Then... Overall, the site isn't attracting. I think that's a N00BiSh work. If you look at a famous a site (*CoughSerebii.netCough*), you can see the difference.

Final word, be creative and don't be affraid to use other options for your site.

-:3 Keep on going!-

See , I don't like to be a copy cat , almost every Pokemon site looks like serebii ,

If anyone wants make a banner for my site here is what I want it to be

As you migh know , I'm not the best at doing graphics , so I was wonder if everyone that is good at stuff like that to make a 1203 x 131 banner in a JPG or Gif format. I just don't want one person helping me , I want everyone to maker there own (Like a contest) To see which on is the best.
Below is what I wait of the banner
1. Must be 1203 x 131.
2. Must be in JPG or Gif Format.
3. Must have a Mew in it and my website's name "Pokemon157".

Good luck.

Eon-Rider August 4th, 2007 4:45 PM

That's another problem with your website. Most people don't trust websites with random numbers.

Punishment August 4th, 2007 4:50 PM

If you are going to offer background music make sure you have an option to turn it off because not everyone like music blaring through thier ears.

You definately need an actual layout no offense. There are tons of them out there so use the free ones if you have too.

Also definately get a better host as your site expands. Look for other Pokemon fansites that offer subdomain hosting for free.

Craig² August 5th, 2007 12:11 AM

All informational Pokemon sites like yours are going to end up being like Serebii anyway.

If you want a banner I know a few really good sig makers and I could ask them about possibly making one for you.

You don't need to get your own domain, but get a subdomain from a fansite (after you develop your current one. In most cases you must apply for a subdomain hosted by places other than Freewebs, Bravenet, etc. and your current webbie isn't going to cut it)

BluePhoenix August 5th, 2007 4:26 AM

Almost every Pokemon site is not a copy of Serebii...You can't just go around calling sites copied...Having the same content does not mean it's copied...It's just has the same content!

I mean like, my site has a description about Ranger, so does Serebii...Does that mean I copied? No...

Also, why a 1203 x 131 banner? ... 1203 is huge...you should use like, 900 px max...

As for the site, do what we all are telling you to do...Done...Trust us, later one day, you will look back and say, "Wow, I actually made a site like that?" Just work on it! ;D

Lord Kokkei August 5th, 2007 9:40 AM

Cheezy...but you're right. If you want free layouts, go to Zymic.com. and if you can't afford photoshop CS3 the use something simpler like Gimp. It's better than Paint...

DarthRino August 5th, 2007 11:02 AM

Don't worry we all have to start of somewhere just keep working on it eventually it will get increasingly better!

Punishment August 5th, 2007 11:11 AM

http://daydreamgraphics.com/ has a nice selection of layouts.

Also try learning basic HTML. It will definately help you out. Once you are done with that you could tackle basic CSS and some elementary PHP.

Im sorry but did you just miss everything everyone is saying don't stick with freewebs it sucks get a better hoster that gives you a free subdomain i suggest 100free or freehostia for free webhosting if you are willing to pay for great web hosting then use godaddy.com i have been using it for about a year and it has great up time and it has ftp support and tons of php and mysql addons they will install for you but i wouldn't pay for any webhosting untill you get much better learn html, css, and some php to set up a good site.

What I meant is as your site gets bigger and better youd want to learn and find a host that supports CSS and PHP.

These two tools will make webmastering a breeze or somewhat easier. Things like PHP includes are useful.

yah but his site won't get bigger and better if noone likes the layout and freewebs is useless for everything so he needs to get a free hoster then he needs to learn css to make a good layout.

I believe now they do offer CSS editing now. I actually have a freewebs webpage that I use for code practice, and I've done it before.

If you don't know CSS, there are plenty of people who know how to do it, including me, who could teach you.

pokemon157 August 8th, 2007 7:22 AM

Hmmm.....They do now , Well thanks for letting me know.

Craig² August 8th, 2007 10:50 AM

It's fine.

Hmm. I don't like their system though. If you're bent on getting a free host, go with Bravenet. They allow you to have multiple sites and are very CSS, PHP and HTML friendly.

dragons_fang August 8th, 2007 12:38 PM

the site is a good start, go knows its better than anything I could make! But it needs a purpose, it feels like it was created just for the sake of.

Shinji_ August 8th, 2007 4:11 PM

Its kind of inferior making a site on Freewebs, it's a start, I have actually done much better when I was in grade 4 not to be offense but hey, everyones different just keep working at it ^^

Really? Same here!

Anyway, Pokemon157, your first priority is to better your graphic skills. A good way to start is getting Adobe Photoshop CS2, which is made for that kind of thing. Paint is terrible; don't use it. Then you can work from there. Second priority is to get out of freewebs and, at the very least, upgrade to bravenet if not get your own domain or a better subdomain that comes with a FTP account..

Squeenix August 10th, 2007 5:44 PM

get paint.net.... its better than paint.. i give your site -1000000000/10
