Another RMT
Ok, so my team right now is
Omastar Bold - Shell Armor EV's 252 Defense, 152 Special Attack, 106 HP Protect Ancient Power Surf Tickle (Needs Work) Aerodactyl Jolly/Adamant - Pressure EV's 152 speed, 252 attack, 106 HP (Needs Work) Thunder Fang Crunch Stone Edge Iron Head (Also Needs Work) Metagross Adamant - Clear Body EV's 252 attack, 102 Speed, 102 Defense, 56 HP Earthquake Meteor Mash Zen Headbutt Agility Gardevoir Modest - Trace EV's 252 Speed, 252 Special Attack, 4 Special Defense Psychic Thunder Bolt Thunder Wave Calm Mind Gengar Modest - LEvitate EV's 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP Hyponosis Dream Eater Shadow Ball Focus Blast Milotic Calm - MArvel Scale EV's 252 Special Defense, 102 HP, 102 Special Attack, 54 Speed Mirror Coat Dragon Pulse Surf Avalanche Aragornbird and Icemans help would be appreciated. |
Why should I help you out, huh? What have ya done for me?
Joking, joking....I'll sai that Ice Beam is better for Milotic than physical Avalance. |
Omastar
-Rest -Surf -Sleep Talk -Ice Beam A set which will use Omastar defensive nature and EV's. A semi-sweeper set would be good for Omastar. -Surf -Rock Polish -Ice Beam -Ancientpower/Stone Edge |
Hypnosis with Dream Eater is disliked in competetive battles because the opponent can just switch out.

Omastar@leftovers
timid - Shell Armor 156 HP, 224 Spd, 128 SpAtk surf ice beam knock off stealth rock/spikes/toxic spikes omastar's UU but he does have excellent defense and sp.att.. give it some speed to outrun the common tyranitar and knock off and stealth rock/spikes/toxic spikes make him a good supporting pokemon. Aerodactyl@focus band Jolly/Adamant - Pressure EV's 152 speed, 252 attack, 106 HP (Needs Work) earthquake/Thunder Fang Crunch Stone Edge stealth rock that's the OU aerodactyl Metagross@leftovers Adamant - Clear Body EV's 252 attack, 102 Speed, 102 Defense, 56 HP Earthquake Meteor Mash thunder punch Agility thunderpunch hits those skarmories hard Gardevoir@life orb/leftovers Modest - Trace EV's 252 Speed, 252 Special Attack, 4 Special Defense Psychic Thunder Bolt focus blast/will-o-wisp/Thunder Wave Calm Mind okay, but you can consider another move over twave. you have aero and gengar so it's not like your team is in desperate need of twave support. another special attack like focus blast or energy ball would be really helpful but then gengar already has a similar set, so you can use WoW. WoW cuts down your opponent's physical attack allowing you to calm mind up whithout much worry. don't WoW a special attacker because after a few calm minds their attacks are relatively harmless too. Gengar@life orb/leftovers/expert belt Modest - LEvitate EV's 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP destiny bond/hypnosis -energy ball Shadow Ball Focus Blast hypnosis is good but since milotic is better with it and destiny bond is like a guaranteed KO destiny bond makes sense here. having hypnosis on more than one pokemon is pointless if sleep clause is in effect Milotic@leftovers Calm - MArvel Scale EV's 252 Special Defense, 102 HP, 102 Special Attack, 54 Speed -surf -hypnosis -recover -ice beam hypnosis is your friend. it will save your life many times, putting your foe to sleep who otherwise could rip through your entire team, while they have to go through the pain of watching milotic recover hp. |

omastar doesn't need to outrun tyranitar. it may be weak to earthquake, but it can take it.
Omastar @ Leftovers/Enigma Berry Bold Nature 252 HP/252 DEF/4 SP ATK -Surf -Ice Beam -Knock Off/Seismic Toss/Rock Polish -Stealth Rock/Toxic Spikes pretty basic. rock polish is for those who are weird and prefer being able to outrun a few incoming threats. |

You could either go with Bold or Modest Nature. Calm nature is alright but she doesnt need the extra boost and you'll see why when I explain it below. Depends if you wanna hit hard or take more hits. Here are the EV spreads: Bold Nature: 252 Def, 200 HP, 58 Sp. Atk Modest Nature: 252 Sp. Atk, 200 HP, 58 Def/Sp.Def Moveset for Milotic would be the one c dog suggested. Milotic is quite bulky considering it can take one STABBED Thunderbolt with no Sp. Def EVS or a beneficial nature form most Pokemon. Therefore Hypnosis is a great choice to stop sweepers in there tracks. -Ice Beam (for Dragons and Grass types) -Surf (with STAB it has 135 base power) -Hypnosis (70% accuracy is still something ot be reckoned with) -Recover (Need I say more with its huge base HP?) Or if you are going with the Bold type there is a little variation with the Sleep Talker set. Persoinally I find it unreliable. -Rest -Sleep Talk -Ice Beam -Surf Due to Marvel Scale when you use Rest Milotics already above average is turned into a massive stat. Sleep Talk is kinda self explanatory. |

Avalanche on Milotic? |
Quote:
Standard Milotic: Milotic @ Leftovers Trait: Marvel Scale Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk -Ice Beam -Toxic -Rest -Surf |

How is a bulky water going to survive without any extra HP EVs? You gotta be kidding yourself. Sure my EV spread is sorta different form the current metagame but my movesets arent. |

seriously, using rest in 4th gen is a bad idea thanks to the new physical special split no pokemon is safe. rest is only viable for those that can't learn recover and is better with sleep talk. with the 2 turns of sleep you can recover to gain more hp there and maybe get off a couple of attacks. hypnosis and mirrorcoat are the only options as milotic's last move and you can't go wrong with hypnosis. nobody uses toxic and nobody would recommend toxic on milotic. |
Standard Milotic:
-Ice Beam -Hypnosis -Recover -Surf Can everyone agree? >___> I like Punishment's set. It's good to have ideas. |
I agree that the Hypnosis set is the standard one for Milotic.
Another reason why Toxic is no longer widespread is because of two common Pokemon: Skarmory and Metagross. Not to mention Heracross says thank you when it switches into one. Dont forget Skarmory's best friend the big fat pink fluff Blissey who can take those attempts of Toxic like candy and can heal her buddies with Aroma. Thanks for the compliments c dog. :) |
Compliments? Compliments are for the weak! Arrrgggghhh!
Seriously, I am sick of seeing the same Milotic over & over. Those were great sets, made by both Punishment & Bleach. Although I saw Toxic, but never understood why. |
get used to seeing OU's sims, cuz milotic is only one of many. i always thought people would get sick of blissey first. the movesets can be changed but most of the sets are popular for a reason. unconventional sets are more prevalent among UU's since they're all about unpredictability.
|
I guess your right, but how many times can Milotic help be given?
People, please use the "search" colum. Put in "Milotic Moveset". When about 60 of em comes up, take your pick. I'm tired of seeing “I need a Milotic Moveset” over & over again. |
Agreed, but this thread has strayed off topic a lot from the original team. Starmie can put a dent in this team. Not a huge dent, but it could inflict nasty pain on a few pokemon.
|
For Milotic I think Im going to go
Ice Beam Surf Mirror Coat Recover |
Mirror Coat Milotic is still usuable but nowhere as strong as it use to be.
The problem is she is quite on borderline average for speed. (Not sure recalling this from memory.) So basically she can guarantee a KO when Mirror Coat works but doesnt have the speed to regain HP with Recover. Your opponent will most likely send out a sweeper to finish off Milotic. |
If you read my post I mentioned hypnosis will save its life many many times(putting that sweeper that's been ripping through your team to sleep is very helpful). mirror coat is always an option but personally i don't recommend it since hypnosis is imo, way better.
