Rate my Sceptile

It was my first EVE Trained guy

Sceptile
Level 100

Timid Nature
Proud of it Power

252 EV's /Attack
252 EV's / Speed
6 EV's / Health Points

281 Health Points
240 Attack
142 Defense
240 Special Attack
197 SP. Def
354 Speed

Leaf Blade
Leaf Storm
Brick Break
Earth Quake

I am still trying to find a better move set for it, but so far I am really happy, its quick and powerful... But I wanna see what you guys think..

You need a move to counter a flying type. Rock Slide would be my first choice. Mabe also consider Swords Dance to up attack. I don't like the idea of two grass type moves.

You should really breed for a new one with Leech Seed. However, if you're simply too lazy for that or just don't want to, use this set:

Sceptile @ Choice Specs
Timid Nature
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 Sp.Attack, 4 HP

- Energy Ball/Hidden Power [ICE/FIRE]
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Leaf Storm/Hidden Power [ICE/FIRE]

That's just about the only somewhat functional set for an egg moveless Sceptile.

If you're willing to breed for a Sceptile with Leech Seed go with:

Sceptile @ Leftovers
Timid Nature
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 Sp.Attack, 4 HP

- Energy Ball
- Dragon Pulse
- Substitute
- Leech Seed

Because using physical attacks on a Timid Natured Sceptile (and Sceptile in general, unless you use them for the surprise factor) is obviously a good idea.

I was thinking of putting X-Scissors on my Sceptile and taking out brick break.. I will have another pokemon with fighting on it..

Because, well bug is effective againts psychic and I dont plan on using any ghosts or any dark pokemon so I figured I should take out brick break. Plus my sceptile is very fast, and faster then most psychic pokemon.

any opinions?

My attack based Sceptile had

Leaf Blade
Night Slash
Airial Ace
Drain Punch

Its a tank and Drain Punch is the best I could do to kope with the loss of Giga Drain. Rock Slide could help, but I work it with supporting pokemon that know Earthquake, Thunder Punch etc.

In my opinion it is bad to have to moves of the same here is how I would make my Sceptile:
Leaf Blade
Rock Throw
X-scissor
Earthquake

If you're going to use a physical Sceptile at least give it Swords Dance.

Sceptile @ Focus Sash/Leftovers/Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
Adamant/Jolly Nature
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed

- Leaf Blade
- Substitute/Leech Seed/Aerial Ace/Brick Break/X-Scissor
- Brick Break/Aerial Ace/X-Scissor
- Swords Dance

But special attacking Sceptile > physical attacking Sceptile any day.
