Trading Problem

I just bought a second, used GB SP so I could trade my LG pokemon to Emerald to learn tutored moves. However, for some reason, the link cable that I have won't work with them. It just stays on "Wait one moment: B to cancel". I threw in my Red and Blue versions in them, tried trading, and it worked with them.

I have used a gameshark on both of them, but I only did it to complete the pokedex on LG and only for TMs on Emerald. Both have been able to transfer to my Diamond Version without any problems and when I use my one and only wireless adapter to do wireless trading, I have no problems getting into the union room and registering for a trade.

Anyone know what the problem is with my games? Could that little hacking done that much?

FYI: I don't have any hacked pokemon with me when I attempt to trade.

O.o Don't you need a GBA link cable for it to work?

One big thing is, you can only trade pokemon from RSE, to LF/FR after you have beaten the games. LG/FR have a stipulation like that so you cant uberfy yourself. YOu have to beat the e4, then get the ruby and sapphire and help complete the special thinger, before you can trade from those to RSE. For RSE, I am not sure if you need to beat those, but probably do.

Well I think the guy has at least beat the elite four and what not, You said that it works on your older games? Are you sure you have the right kind of cable. I would check just to make sure.

Either you didn't get the ruby or sapphire to complete the trade function ability to trade to R/S/E or your link cable might be dead, idk how, maybe getting a new might help, if they still make them >_>

From what I remember hearing there was a difference... I don't know exactly however, I don't have a GB or GBA with linkcable.

Thanks for the pic, Im not a noob. Also, yes, I have both national dexes and beaten the E4 numerous times in both games.

Anyway, question's answered. Mods can lock this if they wish.
