Do I need a threat list? (RMT)

II thought of this team while I was at the laundromat.

This is for wi-fi, and like always, I need help. -_-

Bold
148 HP / 240 Def / 120 SAtk
Surf
Ice Beam
HP Electric
Recover

*It's the only thing I think would make a decent lead. It can absorb ASGars Will-O-Wisp/Hypnosis, and it doesn't automatically die to Weavile. I remember reading somewhere that I can use Expert Belt>Lefties so I can max Defense and still OHKO Garchomp with Ice Beam, so I might do that.

[email protected] Berry (Unburden)
Jolly
152 HP / 32 Def / 72 SAtk / 112 SDef / 140 Speed
Baton Pass
Substitute
Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt
Calm Mind

*Yeah, the EVs are out there, but since this is actually a legit shiny, I don't have as much freedom. They generate 464 HP, 124 Defense, 144 SDef (same as the standard), 200 SAtk, and 222 Speed to outrun Adamant Tyranitar for what it's worth. Maybe enough Speed to outrun Gyarados that lie at 223?

Edit: I came up with a different EV spread that offers less HP (444) more defenses (153 in both, if it matters), and the same amount of Speed. I'm thinking about using it, but it doesn't give me any special attack at all, and I don't get Subs as big.

252 SAtk / 252 Speed / 6 HP
Aura Sphere
Dragon Pulse
Shadow Ball
Psychic

*My recipient for Drifblim...I'm not sure how much a Rock Slide or Crunch from Tyranitar would do on a non-bulky Lucario would do, but I'm sure it could survive. Vacuum Wave is there for Weavile mainly, and other things that may try to revenge kill me. After the Speed boost, though, I might not be worth it. I'm sure you all know what Psychic is for.

Impish
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 Speed
Stealth Rock
Roost
Earthquake
Knock Off

*How many times have you seen this? Well you can add it once more to your total. :D I'm considering Knock Off because no Pokemon likes being itemless (especially Milotic, Swampert, and Bronong). This might be shiny as well, since I can easily PokeRadar one if breeding doesn't work out for me (breeding for flawless HP and Defense are harder than any other stat).

Bold
Max HP, enough for 350 Def, rest in SDef
Reflect
Moonlight
Grass Knot/Psychic
Thunder Wave

I already have Milotic handling Garchomp and Mence, so maybe Grass Knot or Psychic would be preferable. Psychic is mainly for Gengar (when I already have a different Pokemon asleep) because it can easily block status with Sub. Most Infernape don't have it, and thus are crippled enough by Thunder Wave. As for the EVs, maybe 252 HP / 180 SDef / 76 SAtk? I don't know how much SAtk is needed to 2HKO or OHKO Tyranitar in a sandstorm .

[email protected] Scarf
Adamant
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 6 HP
Outrage
Crunch
Fire Blast
Earthquake

*Revenge kills whatever my Pokemon don't. For the sole fact that I am so scared of Gengar, and because of the fact that I assume that ASGar is always Modest, I'm considering running a Jolly nature. I've been hearing talk about ASAzelf as well, and I don't know its spread, so ya...

Having no flying resist is gonna suck, and I feel like I need more staus absorbers than Milotic. A Rapid Spinner might not hurt, either.

DAMMIT NO SOODO HAYZERZ

I'm relying on Garchomp to revenge kill too much as well.

Keep Lefties on Milotic. Hypnosis over HP Electric.

Ew. Shiny Drifblim is ugly. But anyways, Thunderbolt over Shadow Ball for Gyarados. Calm Mind over Hypnosis, and Salac over Peteya.

Only use Vacuum Wave if you have problems with Weavile that badly, otherwise, it's not that great. It's already faster than TTar with Salac.

Knock off over Aerial Ace. Gliscor needs both Stealth Rock and Knock off.

Cresselia.. uh... Go with either Ice Beam/ChargeBeam/Reflect/Moonlight, or Ice Beam/ChargeBeam/rest/Sleep talk.

Outrage over Dragon Claw. Stone Edge over Crunch.

Shiraishi August 8th, 2007 7:38 AM

Cresselia is not Uber.(filler)

Thanks.

Hypnosis is an egg move, and my Drifblim was obtained only through soft resetting.

Yeah, with Knock Off and Stealth Rock, I'll just use Psychic>Vacuum Wave...

My Cresselia doesn't need Charge Beam, I already have Gyarados covered by Milotic. I can even run my shiny Porygon2>Milotic in case it doesn't fare too well. And I know Cresselia is not uber, that's why it's in this RMT.

Oh, and thanks for reminding me about Outrage. I knew there was a different move than Dragon Claw that was to be used, but I forgot. Stone Edge doesn't really help me with anything except Togekiss imo.

Shiraishi August 8th, 2007 8:48 AM

Someone wrote that cresselia was uber..guess he/she deleted it.

It's Just Fufu August 8th, 2007 5:45 PM

I edited my team.

I would still like some suggestions.

It's Just Fufu August 9th, 2007 11:10 PM

bump

I hate to say it, but my team is better than half those that are posted in this forum. Why is it that I get only one post worth consideration, yet other teams that are much worse than mine have 8+ replies?

Please, don't think of this as arrogance...once you break it down, you'll find my statement to be true, and I'm curious as to why I'm in this situation.

Shiraishi August 9th, 2007 11:20 PM

Teams that are better are harder to rate. I suck at fixing teams so I'll just I would lose to it O.O

That's not even close to standard. Lol.
Standard right now is:

Ice Beam
Charge Beam
Rest/Moonlight
Sleep Talk/Reflect/Calm Mind

Extric August 10th, 2007 7:19 AM

Here are a couple of sets that I know for Cresselia:

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Levitate / Bold Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 228 DEF / 30 Sp. DEF
- Reflect
- Thunder Wave
- Ice Beam
- Moonlight / Lunar Dance

That's the Support Cresselia. I'll also give yo the Sleep Talking Cresselia:

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Levitate / Bold
EVs: 252 HP / 228 DEF / 30 Sp. DEF
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Ice Beam / Thunder Wave / Reflect
- Ice Beam / Thunder Wave / Reflect

The basically look the same, but Sleep Talking has more last ability.

It's Just Fufu August 10th, 2007 7:51 AM

Thanks, I guess.

Milotic is my Gyarados counter. That is the reason why it has HP Electric. Now, I have Milotic as a Gyarados counter, I can leave Cresselia to counter something else, which is the reason for Grass Knot. It can help weaken TTar, though it may not be necessary with CSGarchomp, Milotic, Gliscor. So I'm thinking that I can run Psychic for Infernape/Gengar. If anything, I might run Rest/Sleep Talk/Psychic/Reflect to make a fairly supportive Cresselia. It still counters Gengar and Infernape to an extent, but it's almost to the point of being a specialized counter, which is something I don't think I need.

I also don't think I need Ice Beam because Milotic can counter most Garchomp, Mence (not SpecsMence, however, which may be reason enough to have ChoiceSpecs, but then again, I have ScarfChomp), and Dragonite.

Thanks for your suggestions.

That should prevent Gyarados from harming you

It's Just Fufu August 10th, 2007 9:41 AM

Why are you suggesting the EXACT same set that I am already running? However, running Hypnosis>HP Electric might prove useful for handing out status, now that I think about it.

Those SDef EVs are almost useless, the EV Spread I am using is more effective. I take physical hits better while using the least amount of EVs, while the rest can go in SAtk.

Azonic August 10th, 2007 9:50 AM

I'm not, its holding the Burn Orb.

It's Just Fufu August 10th, 2007 10:02 AM

Leftovers>Burn Orb when you consider residual damage such as Spikes, Sandstorm, and Stealth Rock. There's also the fact that Milotic is my status absorber, so I don't want to have it stuck with Burn the whole time when I can get it to absorb a sleep and stop the opponent from my counter to their Pokemon out of use for a few turns.

Azonic August 10th, 2007 10:05 AM

It can't really counter Gyarados without Marvel Scale in effect. And not many Gyarados try to inflict status.

It's Just Fufu August 10th, 2007 10:54 AM

Yes it can. If I switch in when it uses DD, I can probably OHKO with Hidden Power Electric while it only uses Stone Edge or Earthquake.

Edit: Used a damage calc, and while Milotic cannot OHKO standard Bulky Gyarados, it is a definite 2HKO (iirc).

I'm considering running 244 Speed to out run Jolly TTar. Either that, or 240 to outrun Breloom.

MegaDitto August 10th, 2007 2:01 PM

Driftblim @ Petaya Berry/Salac Berry
Nature: Modest
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hypnosis/Baton Pass

Thoughts?

I would suggest Extremespeed over Psychic for Lucario since you already have Dark Pulse. I know it's a normal attack but it has a good enough base damage to be a finishing attack when the opponent is at low HP. Or against pokemon with Focus Sash.

My Drifblim set is fine as it is. I'm not trying to sweep with Drifblim, so I do not need two attacking moves or a +SAtk nature. I could even change it if I wanted since this is for Wi-Fi, and I really want to use my shiny Drifblim. Hypnosis is an egg move, so I can't use that either.

If I'm using any priority attack, it will be Vaccum Wave. Psychic is for Heracross anyways, who I have a bit of trouble against since Gliscor doesn't have Aerial Ace.

Azonic August 10th, 2007 4:01 PM

Well if you have Unburden, then you might as well go for Recycle on Drifblim.

It's Just Fufu August 10th, 2007 4:34 PM

That would be a waste of a moveslot.

Azonic August 10th, 2007 4:45 PM

Listen Fufu, you haven't been very open-minded, so it would be appreciated if you start taking more suggestions in.

Recycle ups Drifblim's speed as well as using an item
