RMT, Yeah, It's just a draft.

Not long ago, I was getting pwned from top to bottom on my team. Why? IDK. I redid my team, using some basics such as a good tank, Hazer, Rapid Spinner, etc. I found the pieces I wanted, and now, I come to PC as a newbie, asking for help.

Weezing @ Leftovers
Levitate
Quiet Nature (+SPATK, -SPD)
EV's: 252 HP, 100 DEF, 100 SPDEF, 56 SPATK (Help here)
Pain Split
Destiny Bond
Haze
Flamethrower

My Hazer and starter for my team. I put it at starter for precautionary reasons, like a Baton Passer. I set up a quick DB, Haze if needed, and use either Pain Split or Flamethrower to try and up up a fight. This is also my counter for Blissey.

Metagross @ Leftovers
Clear Body
Adamant Nature (+ATK, -SPATK)
EV's: 252 ATK, 154 HP, 104 SPD
Meteor Mash
Agility
Explosion
Earthquake

PS #1. A regular Agiligross. EV's are a little iffy, as is slot 1. Comments?

Spritomb @ Something besides Leftovers
Pressure
Modest Nature (+SPATK, -ATK)
EV's: 252 HP, 128 SPDEF, 84 DEF, 44 SPATK
Dark Pulse
Calm Mind
Pain Split
Will-o-Wisp
My #1 tank. Chosen because of type combo and Pain Split. Calm Mind is iffy though.

Meganium @ Leftovers
Overgrow
Modest Nature (+SPATK, -ATK)
EV's: 252 HP, 200 SPDEF, 56 SPATK
Aromatherapy
Leech Seed
Reflect
Energy Ball

I wanted something UU, and also something that could support and heal. Meganium fit the bill quite well. Aromatherapy for a Cleric feel, Leech Seed and Reflect for psuedo-Celebi, and Energy Ball for the occasional attack (and Taunt).

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf
Adaptability
Timid Nature (+SPD, -ATK)
EV's: 252 SPATK, 252 SPD
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Tri-Attack
Psychic/Dark Pulse/Shadow Ball

My only real S. Sweeper. Meganium and Weezing can deal Special damage, but are better off being what they're made for. I don't think Recover will work here because PZ is waaaay too brittle. So, offense, offense, offense, and worry about it later. This moveset reminds me of a Starmie, with a BoltBeam, Psychic, and STAB move (Surf, Tri-Attack)

Garchomp @ Life Orb
Sandstream
Adamant Nature (+ATK, -SPATK)
EV's: 252 ATK, 252 SPD
Outrage
Brick Break
Stone Edge
Earthquake

My PS #2. Great curveball in Brick Break, BECAUSE I'M CONSTANTLY GETTING WALLED BY BLISSEY! Outrage is an 1337 STAB move, and Earthquake is the same. Stone Edge is mostly a filler, but it covers Ice Types, too.

This bunch of posters looks intelligent, from what I've seen. I hope I can get great R/Fs out of THIS forum.

I'll take any sane criticism into mind. And please, if it will help my team, take out whatever you want.

You mind if I tell you my Claydol? You don't gotta use it.

Claydol-Leftovers
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Ice Beam

He's my Rapid Spinner/Stealth Rocker.

Azonic August 8th, 2007 10:16 AM

I always preffered Cosmic Power over Rapid Spin though.

1 Stealth/Spikes won't do much, just send out a sweeper against it.

I like this moveset.

Rapid Spin is a nessesaty on Claydol. Stealth Spikes are dangerous, & ruins Focus Sash. If you don't want Stealth Rock, Cosmic Power works. In fact, it's better. I just REALLY wanted a Stealth Rocker on my team. Also, Reflect/Light Screen could help.

I think the standard Agiligross EV spread is:

252 Attack/ 154 HP / 104 Speed

Metagross already have above average defense as it is. With the extra HP it can take a STABBED Earthquake. The extra speed allows it to outrun quite a few folks in its speed department.

As for Claydol it all depends on the nature. Personally I'd used a Bold one if I was running Ice Beam.

-Rapid Spin
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake (Impish)/Earth Power (Bold)
-Stealth Rock / filler

Cosmic Power is nice but Claydol doesnt have the a move to quickly recover HP. Considering Cosmic Power would take a full six turns to max, your opponent isnt going to be stupid and sit there. They'll switch to a counter (such as a Starmie) or hazer and force you to switch. Thus you wasted a few turns on Cosmic Power for nothing.

Claydols main purpose isnt to wall directly. Its to switch into incoming Earthquakes and Electricall attacks or switching inot something it can wall to Rapid Spin. Other then that it needs to switch out duu to its may weaknesses. Claydol's offensive attacks become useful late game.

Me, I'd go for Relaxed, but Bold is great.

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf

-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Tri-Attack
-Dark Pulse/Shadow Ball

Either of those attacks would do well. I suggested them because both of them would be good counters against Psychic and Ghost type pokemon.

Meganium @ Light Clay/Leftovers

-Aromatherapy
-Leech Seed
-Reflect
-Energy Ball/Grass Knot

Light Clay to long the effect of Reflect for few more turns. Leftovers would help it with it being a support and all.

Life Orb would be questionable on Metagross.

Weezing should be a Bold nature with 252 Hp, 252 Def, 6 Sp. Atk. Go with this:

- Sludge Bomb/Fire Blast
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
- Explosion

Metagross is fine.

Eh. I'd rather use Sucker Punch on Spiritomb with Double status (Hypnosis and will-o-wisp)

Meganium is fine. Light Clay would be nice and Light Screen would be good over Aromatherapy if you had a status absorber, but you don't.

Pory-Z use Hyper Beam in the last spot. Why hyper beam? 337 base power with Adaptability.

Outrage/Swords Dance/Fire Blast/Earthquake for chompy.

Shiraishi August 9th, 2007 3:39 AM

How in the world does a chomp get walled by a blissey? Weezing is a good starter I guess. Btw how does pain split work? Im getting it on my weezing.

Towlie August 9th, 2007 3:58 AM

Who said Blissey walls Chompy?
And Pain split works by adding both HPs of the pokemon and splitting it in two. So Weezing's Pain Split does a decent amount to Blissey. Lol.

Shiraishi August 9th, 2007 4:11 AM

Wow. Adding weezing on my team makes it completely anti-blissey...(electivire,Swampy,Mence,Weezing) o.0

Azonic August 9th, 2007 5:24 AM

o shizz, a Mamoswine can take a lot of this team down after a speed boost.

Shiraishi August 9th, 2007 5:49 AM

I dont see mamoswine too often..I think the thread starter would be start enough to switch out for weezing once its in play though..
