Battle Tower team.
Right now, I'm in the process of thinking of a good battle tower team, out of the stuff I got. When I EV train a pokemon, I usually use it in the battle tower to see how it does, so I don't really have a permanent team yet. So you have the job of helping me build a team out of these. xD Right now, this is my battle tower team:
Azelf @ Life Orb Nature: Mild(+Sp. Atk, -Def) Ability: Levitate EVs: 4 Hp, 252 Spd, 252 Sp. Atk - Psychic - Nasty Plot - Grass Knot - Flamethrower Modest would have been better, but I got this in a trade, and it has a perfect Sp. Atk IV, so I like it. Kills a lot without nasty plot, almost unstoppable with a Nasty Plot. Flygon @ Choice Band Nature: Mild(+Sp. Atk, -Def) Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 Atk, 170 Spd, 86 Sp. Atk - Earthquake - Draco Meteor - U-Turn - Rock Slide Was shooting for a +Sp. Atk, - Sp.Def Nature, but this one is almost as good. Perfect Atk IV, and very high HP and Speed IVs. Sp. Atk IV is kinda low though, so I added some extra Sp. Atk EVs. STAB quake with CB hurts a bunch. Stone Edge would be over Rock Slide if I had another TM of it. Gonna buy one soon. Starmie @ WiseGlasses Nature: Quiet(+Sp. Atk, -Spd) Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 4 Hp, 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd - Thunderbolt - Ice Beam - Recover - Surf Was from my Leaf Green game. Not happy with the nature, but Starmie still rips apart stuff in Battle Tower Other options I have: Pikachu @ Light Ball Nature: Modest(+Sp. Atk, -Atk) Ability: Static EVs: 4 Hp, 252 Spd, 252 Sp.Atk - Thunderbolt - Nasty Plot - Substitute - Thunder Wave Fun stuff. Perfect Speed IV and near perfect Sp. Atk (29). Hidden Power is a weak Ghost. I'd replace Nasty Plot with Grass Knot if I had an extra TM of it. Magnezone @ something Nature: Modest(+Sp. Atk, -Atk) Ability: Magnet Pull EVs: Split between HP and Def, 252 Sp. Atk - Flash Cannon - Substitute - Thunder Wave - Thunderbolt Magnet Rise over Thunder Wave maybe? Aerodactyl @ Life Orb/Choice Band Nature: Jolly(+Spd, -Sp. Atk) Ability: Pressure EVs: 4 Hp, 252 Atk, 252 Spd - Aerial Ace - Earthquake - Thunder Fang - Stone Edge It's fast. Slowbro @ Leftovers Nature: Mild(+Sp. Atk, -Def) Ability: Own Tempo EVs: 252 Hp, ~180 Sp. Atk, Rest in Defense - Psychic - Surf - Trick Room - Ice Beam Sets up trick room. Goes well with Camerupt and Magnezone. Salamence @ Choice Specs Nature: Relaxed(+Def, -Spd) [Eww. =\] Ability: Intimidate EVs: 4 Hp, 252 Sp.Atk, 252 Spd - Dragon Pulse - Flamethrower - Draco Meteor - Hydro Pump Standard Specsmence with a crappy nature. Camerupt @ Leftovers Nature: Relaxed(+Def, -Spd) Ability Magma Armor EVs: Eh, I can't remember really. Lots of Atk, some defense, and a little bit of Sp. Atk - Rock Slide - Toxic - Eruption - Earthquake Toxic is for a filler. Eruption abuse with Trick Room. Might replace toxic with Protect for Double battles. And that's it. |
Pikachu is too fragile with Nasty Plot.
|
Like I said, it's a filler to replace Grass Knot. And it does set up Nasty Plots. Substitute a status or something stupid they do in Battle Tower and Nasty Plot up. It can't touch Grounds at the moment though.
|
Slowbro needs status over Psychic.

Crud... I forgot about Slack Off
Surf Icebeam Slack Off HP Grass |
Azelf survives to Nasty Plot easily. Even though I don't usually, because it OHKOs a lot of stuff without one.
CBgon with Draco Meteor is amazing. Screech is 3rd Generation. Doesn't fit into DP very good. I can't get Surf on Pikachu. Surf is a special move. Substitute scouts what they're going to do. Split EVs means 128/128 Lol. Double-Edge isn't good on Aero much anymore. I actually may replace thunder fang with Fire Fang for Metagross though. Slowbro Trick Rooms for Camerupt, That's why Camerupt is there. I'm not using Camerupt outside of Trick room. And I like Elemence a lot better. Draco Meteor is an automatic KO to anything that isn't steel pretty much. |

I'd rather keep Nasty Plot. 2 Grass attacks is blah.
Doesn't need to. 210 Base Power speaks for itself. I know. Pikachu is there for fun. I really don't use it since I don't have Knot. Elemence and Adamence are equally popular. Both are effective. What makes Adamence effective, is getting DDs in on the switch. But Battle Tower typically doesn't switch. |
Why would you put Fire Fang on aerodactyl to cover Metagross when you already have Earthquake.................. I've always preffered Ice Fang over Thunder Fang.
|
Eh. Some have Magnet Rise in BT, Lol.
And it's actually for waters. For some reason when I thought about what it covered I thought Stone Edge could cover it because of Gyra. Ice could be good for ground and dragon. I'll think about it. |
ya but Aerodactyl can outrun a Metagross anyday. Plus it probabley wouldn't survive more than one more turn. I like Ice fang because your bound to run into a Dragonite/Salamence/Garchomp these days and you don't have much chance against a Milotic anyways.
