Sora_8920 September 16th, 2007 4:35 AM

My current team, i'm going to change it, but here it is anyway:

Gengar @:Wide Lens
Trait: Levitate
Timid Nature
Energy ball (I put it in place of Focus Punch to counter Swampert in competitive play).
Thunderbolt
Substitute (Going to replace with Focus Blast).
Hypnosis.

Spiritomb @:Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Calm Nature
Calm Mind
Psychic
Dark Pulse
Will-o-Wisp. Works pretty well, not going to replace Psychic with Pain Split.

Trait: Natural Cure
Bold Nature
Seismic Toss
Thunder Wave
Softboiled
Aromatherapy.

Garchomp @: Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Veil
Adamant Nature

Impish Nature
Leech Seed
Earthquake
Stealth Rock (Soon to replace with Curse).
Wood Hammer.

Breloom @:Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
Jolly Nature

You mean this, Name? two silly posts in a row. =/ lol. And Dialga with that moveset is... noobish. But it is in-game, however.

I've got three other LV100's, but I don't use them much, Raichu, Rayquaza and Mewtwo.

BlueSteel September 23rd, 2007 3:24 AM

Dragonite [Adamant]
Metagross [Adamant]
PorygonZ [Modest]
Miltic [Bold]/Vaporeon
Forretress [Calm]
Dusknoir [Sassy]

They're all EV trained. I like to lead with my Forretress

Forretress @ Focus Sash
Spikes
Toxic Spikes
Stealth Rocks
Explosion

Nasty eh? I usually only get spikes up and sometimes toxic spikes before he has to die...

None are at lvl 100 yet though, D/P is bad for leveling...

Alter Ego September 23rd, 2007 3:55 AM

Don't really see the point of expending a valuable wall like Forretress on Toxic Spikes (When it could be pounding stuff with Gyro Ball or supporting your team with Reflect/Light Screen) but W/E. Also, sash on something that durable? Leftovers would probably serve it better. :3

At any rate, excluding the slap-together team I put together to get through the league I only have one proper pokemon yet:

Azelf @ Lucky Egg * Pixiepoof
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SAtk, 252 Spd, 6 HP (I'm breaching the normal EV spread because it had a weak Speed IV T_T)
Psychic
Flamethrower
Energy Ball
Nasty Plot

It's currently at level 82 or something like that. Yeah, I've been so lazy in obtaining good IV, good nature, good trait pokes and EV training them. So shoot me. x3

lanroxas September 23rd, 2007 4:50 AM

[email protected] Lum Berry

What are you talking about? It's not for walling purposes... it's for setting up spikes. Focus sash is there so that it can use explosion right before it faints. If I were to make it a wall, I wouldn't have any spikes. (Did you notice how there was only ONE offensive move? Suicidal Forretress.)

I don't use Forretress if I know they're gonna have a rapid spinner, otherwise I'd just replace him with something else. I have a raikou @ Modest..which was indeed lucky to get, but he seems kinda weak with his limited movepool...

Ahh...clarify this for me: why do you keep Forretress solely for setting up spikes when it's perfect for both setting up spikes and taking hits at the same time? (Rest (or Explosion)/Spikes/Gyro Ball/Stealth Rock @ Leftovers, if you wish to go that route; it's not like you'll get all three spiking moves out anyway and a lot of pokémon actually benefit from Toxic Spikes because of Guts/Marvel Scale) If you just want a quick layer of spikes (That will most likely be blown away with Rapid Spin, turning the whole stunt into a meaningless sacrifice) then just use Qwilfish; it's faster, can exploit swift swim, is more likely to benefit from sash and can take something with it by using Destiny Bond. Plus, it's a cool UU to boot. =O

And yeah, Raikou isn't doing too hot on the movepool side. Have you checked the IVs yet? Because if it's from FR/LG it probably won't be worth training (There's this lovely little piece of programming that makes the IVs of all the legendary cats in FR/LG suck by default). Plus, Raikou really prefers Timid nature. But yeah, if it's decently IVed you can still use Calm Mind/Substitute/Thunderbolt/Shadow Ball (or *Shudder* Extrasensory). Unless it's got like 20+ in both Speed and SAtk IVs, I wouldn't suggest using it, though.
