fishing in emerald

this may sound like a stupid question, but how do you fish in emerald. When it says that i have a bite, i press the a button, but it gets away.

You have to time it just right, I've been playing Emerald for a year and know it like the back of my hand

When the ''Oh! A bite!'' message shows up, press A, but don't press it more than once. Then wait and the message will come up again. Repeat the process until you catch the Pokémon.

Thanks! Now i can actually catch a decent water pokemon...

It took me a while to learn to fish in this game too XD.

Me2UJus4Free August 11th, 2007 2:05 PM

I actually find the fishing in Emerald to be easier then Rudy. XD

wait for ".....Oh! a Bite!" then press A immediately, and keep doing that until hooked, or else it will go away.

I might as well use this thread to ask this question.

Berry's have a certain amount of time in which toi grow in, right? Well, is this 'real time' (ie. one day in the real world = one day in the game), or is it 'game time (one day in the game = the overall amount of time that you've been playing the game)?

~RNC~ August 13th, 2007 2:14 PM

It's real world time.I'm not sure how long it takes to grow a berry though.

Random August 13th, 2007 10:33 PM

It would usually take a half a day or so, depending on how you grow them.
