As for the 0x2 it should be the number of shiny pokemon you want the player to encounter. If you set it to two then two shinies will appear. Set it to five and the next five pokemon that appear will be shiny.

I misspelled the setvar... sorry I wasn't paying attention to what I was writing...
And yes you're right with the 0x(var)
I just mentioned 0x2 since I'm used to it.
