Faris Miller - New Bark Town

Stepping out of the lab, Faris stopped and thought about what to do next. He didn't want to continue with no plan, after all. He thought about the next few locations. He had someone he wanted to visit here in New Bark Town, and that was about it for here. Next was Route 29. The town was also connected to Route 27, but even if he could swim across or search for pokemon there, it wouldn't be much use trying to battle them with a fire-type. On Route 29 there were various normal-types, a few of them flying-type. He thought it would be best to get a flying pokemon as soon as possible, as it would undoubtedly be a great asset to the team. Beyond that were Cherrygrove city and the southern part of Route 46. From what he'd heard, there wasn't much on Route 46 besides dirt, rocks, and some grass. But where there was dirt and rocks there was a chance of there being ground- and rock-types. Although those types shared many weaknesses with Prometheus. On second thought, they were the perfect counters to the flying-types of his hometown. On third thought, the leaders had begun equipping their pokemon with countermeasures to types with advantages against their own, knowing that the leader of Violet city liked to surprise rock- and electric- types with a mudslap attack. Maybe it would be best not to catch a rock-type after all...

Bark! Faris jolted as Prometheus pulled him back into reality and out of his thoughts. He looked at his partner for a moment before realizing that he was still in front of the lab. Not only was he wasting time, he was blocking the door while he wasted it. "Thanks for that, Prometheus," he said to his pokemon before heading to the first place on his agenda. It wasn't far; in fact, it was right next door. Stepping forward, Faris took a deep breath and knocked on the door. After a few nervous moments, it opened, an aging woman standing in the doorway.

"Oh," she began, "who might you be?"

"Hello, Mrs.Gold. You don't know me but-"

Ethan's mother cut him off. "Would you like to come inside? I could make you some tea if you like."

"Huh?" That was surprising. He couldn't reject her hospitality and he still had things that he needed to say. "Okay, I suppose some tea couldn't hurt..." He followed her inside and was led into a the kitchen/dining area where she soon began to make the promised tea. Prometheus jumped up and sat in the chair next to him, something that brought a smile to Faris' nervous face. He didn't like the idea of imposing on her, but he couldn't turn her down either. He looked at her and noticed the wrinkles on her face and various streaks of grey running through her brown hair, no doubt brought about by worry. After the Johto reconstruction, Ethan disappeared, nobody having heard a single thing about him in 5 years. There was no way she wouldn't worry about him. Soon, a cup was placed in front of him and a bowl with pokemon food placed in front of Prometheus, Ethan's mother sitting down across from them.

She was the first to speak. "So are you one of the new trainers Elm mentioned?" Faris nodded.

"I am. My name is Faris Miller and this is my partner, Prometheus." Prometheus barked in acknowledgement. "Together we shall change the world." Mrs.Gold smiled and gave a light chuckle. Nervousness threatened to overtake the young crusader. "I-I was inspired by your son, Ethan Gold, and grew up with him as my hero. It's thanks to him, and by extension yourself, that I discovered my mission and purpose. I came here today to show my gratitude. You can rest assured that someday I shall rid this world of evil, and on that day your son will be able to come home. H-Hopefully." Hopefully? What sort of way to comfort someone is that!? As Faris chastised himself mentally, Mrs.Gold began to laugh. Faris sat speechless.

"My, the youth of today grow up so fast!" Her laughing quieted and she wore a soft smile on her face, her eyes distant. "But I guess I already knew that." It looked like his mention of Ethan and the possibility of his return worsened the sad longing that plagued her. He looked down into his cup regretfully. What have you done, Faris... She focused back onto him. "Thank you, Faris. I'll be looking forward to that day."

Faris finished his tea and stood up. "No, thank you Mrs.Gold. I swear to you that I will not fail. Come, Prometheus." Faris bowed thankfully and left, more determined now than ever before to succeed. For her and all the other people who watch the door at every moment, always waiting for somebody dear to them to step through it. Somebody who has been caught up in the endless struggle between good and evil, unable to return home no matter how much they want to. He gazed out towards the horizon past Route 29, then beyond. He gazed at the new world, a world of peace and happiness for all. A grin spread across Faris' face. He walked forward in the direction of that world, towards Route 29. It all began there. He passed a sign that said "Winds of a new beginning." Fitting words, he thought as he made his first step onto Route 29, the first step of his long journey.

Scott - Violet City

The car parked outside the grand dragon hotel, the biggest hotel in violet, and was almost half casino too. The outside walls were made of white marble, and the windows were on the floors above 1, and were neatly slotted into place. The hotel was definately there for the rich. Scott and his members entered the vecinity casually, each of them wearing usual clothing, and carrying a bag each. Scott walked up to reception gingerly and leaned against the reception desk.

"Reservation for the Honda's."

He handed the reception clerk, a small man with a beard, a envelope containing his credential details, and signed in with haste. Each member had a room each. Scott gave each person a key, without saying anything, and walked off to his room, on the second floor, room 9.

The room's were conferting, a double bed, a tv hung on the wall, a desk with a tea and coffee set, a small sofa, and an on-suite bathroom. He flung himself down on the bed. Now was one of the only times he could do something without thinking about it, and it felt good, knowing that notin he did was seen or heard by anybody. A little bit of freedom is always nice.

After putting away his things, he stepped out of the room, and locked the door, and put the key in his bag, which he then flung on his back, and took the stairs towards the ground floor. He stepped outside and started walking along the sidewalk. It was quite the city, Violet, rather big, but not too big, more like a large town. He grabbed a map from a stall from the side, and began to look up the Violet city gym. It was on the other side of town, ironically.

As Scott reached the gym a slight shudder came over him as he glanced at the front gate. A lot had changed since he was last in the city, including the gym. It wasn't it's usually boring brown roof anymore, it was more, fancy, including electronic sliding doors. Technology of the future.... The whole city had a completely different atmosphere. It was so lively, and filled with happy trainers and pokémon. It almost made Scott jealous. He stepped to the front entrance of the gym, before the doors suddenly opened, and out came two teenagers, waving their arms about, holding a Violet City gym badge, and jumping into the arms of their parents. Alongside that, a different face appeared at the door. This wasn't a face Scott recognised however. The man was smiling at the two people who had just ran out of the gym, and waving at them as they left in a family car, then he turned to Scott.

"Oh hi, are you also here for a battle?"

Scott was hesitant to answer. He knew that whatever he may say now could effect what this person may think about him, and Scott couldn't tell if this was the person he was looking for, although he looked very similar to what Scott remembered.

"You are?"

Scott tried to keep this brief, and pretended as if he didn't actually know, so he wouldn't raise suspision.

"Oh, sorry, my name's Falkner, I run the Violet city gym."

Falkner... Scott had never heard te name before, perhaps he was a relation of...

"If you are looking for my father, I'm afraid he's away in Kanto. He doesn't come back often."

That's presumably why Falkner looked so similar. It had been his father Scott had came to see. Perhaps he could come back another time....

"Yes I believe that is who I am looking for. Do you know when he may return?"

"No sorry, no clue. While you are here, care for a battle?"

Scott looked up at Falkner. He had such high spirits, no wonder he was gym leader now. Perhaps he's as good as his father. Nath cleared his mind. He was being stupid. If he stayed much longer then he would surely be remembered, and then possibly framed in front of higher authorities in the Team. He shook his head.

"No, but maybe some other time."

Scott turned away and began walking in the opposite direction towards the high street, marked on the map by shopping plaza. He turned back round, but Falkner had already gone inside the gym. Scott turned back around and started to walk in the direction he was previously following.

Flint Mclaren - New Bark Town

"Sorry Professor I'm late." said Flint rushing into the lab. He found Daisy working there. Daisy was a 17 year old girl who worked for Prof.Elm. She said, "Hello there Flint. It's nice to see you. Have a seat the professor is just coming."

Within a few minutes Prof.Elm climbed down the stairs, "Ah, hello Flint my boy. It's nice to see you. Now come with me and get ready to choose your first pokemon." said Prof. Elm telling Flint to come up the stairs with him.

Flint followed Prof.Elm up the stairs and looked at the pokemon there. Suddenly a blue streak came from behind a something bit his arm. Flint shook it off and found a Totodile there. The Totodile leaped up and hugged him.

"Hey Professor I think he likes me. Then I guess I'll go along with him." said Flint.

"Perfect choice Flint. Here take his pokeball." said the Professor. "Okay thanks Professor." replied Flint heading down the stairs.

When Flint was about to go out of the door then Daisy appeared with a small brown box containing a Pokedex, 5 pokeballs and 2 potions. Daisy added, "Bye Flint. Just make sure you have mine and the Professor's phone numbers." "Yup, I have them. Bye." answered Flint running out of the door.

Flint sent Totodile out of his pokeball and read the data on the Pokedex. It read:

Species: Totodile.

Gender: Male.

Ability: Sheer Force.

Moves:

Scratch

Leer

Dig.

"Okay so what would you like me to call you. I know Posideon. How do you like that?" Posideon nodded his approval.

"And one more thing I'll keep you and all of our pokemon out of their pokeballs. Maybe some point in the future I'll have to put you back in your pokeball, but for now you can stay outside." Then along with Posideon Flint walked towards Route 29 to begin their journey.

Joe's first steps through Route 29 were uneventful as he walked through the trail. Seedot walked in a slow waddling fashion behind his trainer and having no knees didn't seem to impede the acorn's movement in the least. Being out in the environment pleased the small Pokémon from what Joe could tell from the humming sounds his new partner made along the path. Joseph looked around while they walked. There were many Pokémon just fluttering about and crawling on some of the trees around the area. Being a person who preferred to drive on the highway quickly instead of walking the trails, the sounds of the Pokémon world were still foreign to the new trainer and he wasn't quite sure if any of the Pokémon he was seeing were threats.

As they walked, Joseph shuffled his hand into his backpack to find the water canteen he filled up prior to leaving New Bark Town. He rummaged around with his hands, recognizing the shapes of his various items from the shape and textures his fingers felt. With each item distinguished, Seedot could hear his master speak to himself as if he were trying to assure that he thought of the right item. "Rope. Pokeball. Pokeball. Other Pokeball. God damn there's a lot of Pokeballs. Potion thing. Antidote. Tissues. Sunscreen. Wait….what's this?" Perplexed by a slender plastic square, the newbie trainer retrieved it from his backpack. He looked it over before recalling what it was and where he acquired it. "Oh yeah! This is that catalog thing Elm gave me. Almost forgot about it….Now how do you turn it on?"

Joseph thought that now would be a good time to stop and learn the operations of the Pokedex before continuing. The professor did say that it would be his lifeline when he hit a snag in the field, so it would do him a great deal of good to learn the most basic functions. The American found a small gathering of large rocks to sit down. While his trainer fiddled with the electronic device, Seedot passed the time jumping from rock to rock, alternating his balance between feet with each jump. As soon as Joe opened the LED screen in the center lit up and a male robotic voice began to speak to him. "Greetings Trainer. Thank you for activating the Pokedex. How may I be of assistance? Would you like to go over the operations tutorial?"

After the item stopped speaking, Joe said in disgust, "It talks? That's annoying. Where's the mute button on this thing? Oh, here it is." He pressed a button on the interface that had the universal speaker icon that displayed volume and turned it down to the mute function. Pleased with the now silenced Pokedex, Joseph began to play around with the buttons and settings to figure out how it worked. While the trainer was preoccupied with the handheld, Seedot could feel a presence lurking behind it. He quickly turned around and let out a startled cry.

Jumping off the rock in which he sat, Joe clenched a fist and was prepared to punch whatever caused his new buddy to cry out. What he saw brought a smirk to the young man's face and he relaxed his muscles. In front of him stood two Seedots, one of which would logically be his, though he couldn't tell them apart. It was very clear that the two were not getting along. One Seedot angrily to its peer in what seemed to be a scolding tone with a matching angered face. In retaliation, the second Seedot head-butted the first and made it fall off the rock the two were sharing.

"That's enough out of the two of you!" Joseph exclaimed. "I got no idea which one is my little buddy, but stop arguing with the other one and come here." He thought that ordering his Pokémon to his side would solve the mystery of which Seedot was his and wasn't prepared with a backup plan when both walked up beside him. Frustrated from the backfiring of his idea, the trainer shrugged and accepted his defeat. "Whatever, I'm going this way. Whichever of you two is mine, follow me. I don't care what the other one does." He walked off, looking behind him to make sure at least one of them was following along. This time Joe wasn't as surprised to see both Seedots walking inline and just accepted that the one not belonging to him just wanted company.

Avril McDougall

Avril had only just been able to lower her laughter to a small giggle, and was trying hard to suppress the memory of the lab assistants face. 'I p***** him off so bad!' She told her self. She then look down at her new pokemon, he was walking beside her, and seemed quite calm. 'Where to next?' She thought. She looked round, spinning I'm achieve before get faster and almost falling on Magby, breaking his calm. It took a second for the world to stop spinning and to stand up. "LET GO THERE!" She said pointing at route 29, she acted like it was a big decision even though it was basically the only way out of town. Well unless you count the water, and Avril couldn't swim to well, and Magby was defiantly not a water fan.
"POKEMON WHERE ARE YOU????" Avril called out, she saw some pidgeys fly put of trees. "HEY GET BACK HERE!!! IM MEANT TO CAPTURE YOU!" She cried put in anger. She walked round before sitting on the floor, obviously irritated. She did not know alot about being a trainer. Avril was a smart girl, but you can't learn something you don't get taught. She knew some basics, but not enough to properly help her on her journey. She even wondered why her parents let her go, then it hit her. 'They wanted to get rid of me....' She just sat on the floor and hoped someone would come over. "You can go off, have a look around. I'm just going to sit here for a bit. But come back ok" Avril said calmly to the Magby. 'I hope someone will come over and talk to me' she thought.

Faris Miller - Route 29

Faris scanned his surroundings during his return trip across Route 29, searching for a suitable flying-type pokemon. There were several, but he needed a way to discover which one would be best for his team. It would have to be quick and agile, confident as well if it was going to be carrying him in the future. He opened his pokedex and went to the habitat list to get an idea of what he was looking for. He could clearly see several Pidgey roosting in the trees or flying around, but the pokedex claimed that Hoothoot and Starly also lived there. In his search, he also saw a few trainers on that route. One of them had two Seedot following him, and the other was running around screaming for some reason. "POKEMON WHERE ARE YOU????" She chased after a group of Pidgey before yelling at them, "HEY GET BACK HERE!!! I'M MEANT TO CAPTURE YOU!" He watched as she grew angry, then began to look sad. She sat on a rock looking defeated. Were the Pidgey that important to her?

While Faris was searching for bird pokemon, he had come up with a plan as to how he would decide which one was the right one. First, he had to confirm something. "Prometheus, use ember upward, toward the sky. See if you can spread the attack as widely as you can." His Houndour looked at him questioningly, but before Faris could start explaining, he turned his head upward and fired. Small pellets of fire shot from Prometheus' mouth, spreading widely. The coverage was not as much as he would have hoped, but it should still work. His thoughts went to this girl and her inability to catch pokemon, since she apparently thought that shouting at them was a good plan. He walked over to her and said, "If you want to catch a pidgey, come with me." It didn't really matter whether or not she followed, but he had to at least try helping her.

Faris walked farther along Route 29, searching for the most populated tree until he found it. Not looking back to see if that girl was with him or not, he said, "Prepare your pokeballs and your pokemon. After my Houndour makes his move, attack the one you want to catch." He searched the ground and picked up two handfuls of small stones. "Ready..." Prometheus changed his stance and prepared his attack. Faris circled around to the other end of the tree and threw the stones, the resident bird pokemon fleeing away from Faris, straight into the path of Prometheus' attack. "Ember, and don't stop!" Prometheus unleashed his attack, hitting several pokemon as they passed.

Faris watched intently at what each bird did as Prometheus continually pelted them with flames. Of course, the attack wasn't doing much damage considering how spread out it was, but that wasn't the point. His eyes locked on as one bird, a Pidgey, began to dodge the embers after the initial strike then began to go after Prometheus with a few other Pidgey in tow. Faris tossed more stones at the group, hitting and scaring off most of them, but the Pidgey he was focused on was prepared and dodged them. At this point, only two Pidgey reached Prometheus. One of them began to tackle him, and the one he was focused on began to flap its wings and blow dust into his face. Faris rushed over to him, pulling a potion out of his bag. "Prometheus, jump back and use ember on the one on the left! Focus it this time!" The houndour obediently pulled back, making more distance between himself and his opponents before attacking once more. Prometheus had been blinded by the sand though, and the attack only grazed the target. Both pidgey hit with tackles, knocking Prometheus back. Faris ran up to him and applied the potion, his partner returning to his feet. No good... I'll need to change my tactics. "Prometheus, buy some time. Go back to using a spread out ember, don't worry about which one you hit!" He knew that while one of the Pidgeys was wounded, the one he wanted had dodged much of the earlier attacks and probably wouldn't be felled by that. He thought about what he could do, but then he saw that Prometheus attempted an ember attack and nothing happened. Oh no! Prometheus had become exhausted using ember so much. Thinking quickly, his partner tried to dodge the incoming attack, but one of the two tackles hit hard. I have to end this quickly...

Thinking about what other moves Prometheus had, Faris realized the only other offensive attack he could use was sludge. Sludge? Poison, that's it! Prometheus was taking a beating as he waited for another order, struggling to dodge. "Prometheus, use howl!" His Houndour gave a loud howl, strengthening his resolve. "Now hit the right one with sludge, but don't strike until it's right in front of you!" He couldn't afford to miss this attack, not in the state Prometheus was in right now. His opponents were closing in, Prometheus standing there waiting for his chance. "Now!" His partner spewed a foul sludge straight into the desired Pidgey's face, knocking it down, but he was then hit in the side by the other one. Now's my chance! Faris reached for a pokeball and threw it at the Pidgey on the ground, the pokemon glowing brightly before being pulled into the ball. The button started to blink and the ball began to shake. You were a worthy adversary, but I have you now, Pidgey.

Mari was caught out in the open, essentially with her pants down, by the sound of a roaring flame from above. Quickly, the vixen scanned the sky in all directions, until her eyes fixated squarely on an igneous spiral upward into the clouds. That exact sight caused Mari's stomach to drop an inch in her belly, and a shiver ran up her spine as she witnessed it. It was... Strangely beautiful, and yet terrifying at the same time. It reminded her of... No, no time to think of that right now.

Mari slipped under the cover of foliage, having only just come to the T-junction in the center of Route 29. She took cover behind the thicket of trees, though she knew her orange fur stood out like a sore thumb in this terrain. She would have to make do with limited camouflage as she closed in on the source of the flames, the newer Pokeball from her belt clutched in her gloved hand. The vixen crouched behind her chosen thicket, looking first down at her Pokeball, and then out at the individual and the Pokemon she had spotted.

Was that... A... Wait. What Pokemon was that, exactly? Mari inspected it carefully as she could from her location, but she could not yet identify exactly what Pokemon was under that child's command. Obviously, fire wouldn't do any good for her; the canine creature led about by this short blond boy was just able to cast an inferno right into the sky in a spiral, which was beyond the level of control that Mari had over her Cyndaquil. Hell... She hadn't even had a chance to do battle with wild Pokemon with this Cyndaquil yet. She would be no match, that was for sure.

From out of the corner of her eye, the vixen spied another; a small girl, probably prepubescent, enthralled in self-pity for god knows what reason. She wasn't immediately important; what concerned her was this boy and his Pokemon.

Wait... What was that? Wings flapping? Mari's sensitive ears perked upwards, and her attention turned towards the sky once again. It was a bit more difficult to pick out what was going on up there through the canopy of leaves overhead, but if the fox had to put it to a guessing game, there were at least three Pidgey flying in loose formation above, possibly more given her limited visibility of their patterns. She had experience with Pidgey, at least; she knew their flight patterns and how they behaved under stress, and this was textbook. This kid was taking on a few of them, and if she had to guess once more, she was dealing with a newbie trainer out to catch his first Pokemon. Of course, she'd been wrong before. The flashy fire moves, the Pidgey... Which one was it? Was this Pokemon out of her league to battle, or was she up against a first-timer, if it came down to fighting?

Sheathing the Pokeball in a pocket on her belt, Mari silently made her approach. She was no skilled commando, but she did have a little practice moving about silently in forested areas. It would be sight that'd give her away -- not sound. Her lightweight boots rustled near-silently against the grass and twigs and dirt, a sheer whisper in the wind as she took cover against the next tree ahead to observe this trainer more clearly.

Yes... A flock of Pidgey. Now it made sense. He was weeding them out. And luckily for Mari, it looked like he was pegging hits on a few of them. Before long, he'd singled one out and was quickly wearing down on the poor thing with some kind of poison attack that Mari could only vaguely recall... Sludge? Her observations were studious and scrupulous, like a high-school nerd poring over lab experiments and chemical reactions in motion. Its detrimental effects on the Pidgey, how the Pokemon utilized it, how its trainer had ordered it... These were all intricacies that Mari paid extreme attention to, analyzing her potential assailant's combat ability. It was humbling to watch... Not because this boy was so much better at handling his Pokemon than Mari was at this point, but because it made her realize how vulnerable she was against trainers. And this quickly, she was nearly running into trainers? It didn't bode well for Mari and her new Cyndaquil.

The tell tale sound of a Pokeball being palmed and expanded mid-draw was under the microscope scrutiny of Mari's bright blue eyes in a scant few seconds following the drenching of that poor Pidgey in sludge. She observed as the Pidgey was digressed from its natural form, captivated in a form of pure energy within the Pokeball. The button blinked... The ball shook...

Honestly, the fox was curious. She watched carefully from her perch, utterly silent.

Faris Miller vs. The Triple Entente

"Alpha 1 check!"
"Alpha 2 check!"
"Alpha 3 check!"
The three pidgey coordinated their attack on poor Prometheus, circling a couple of times and...

"Bombs away!", bird poop covered Faris and Prometheus in disgusting smell but retaliation was fast as a stone took out one of the pidgey.

"I'm hit, I'm hit", no. 3 cried out. Letting out a sigh, Alpha 1 looked at his surviving comrade and said, "3 is down. No. 2.. Cover me, I'm going in!"

Their vigorous efforts bore fruit until alpha 1 felt something putrid covering his face and a tingling sensation as he got captured in the ball, for a BRIEF MOMENT. The pokémon had no difficulty in breaking out.

Aww, you can't capture pokémon in double battles, sorry. Defeat Alpha 2 first.

It had barely been ten minutes of walking before Joe began to regret allowing the second Seedot to follow him around. An almost non-stop tune of both Pokémon alternating the task of saying their species name was close to being enough to have him stuff his own head in the dirt to dampen the sound. "Why me? Five minutes ago they hated each other and now they won't shut up!", thought Joe as both tiny acorns walked leisurely behind him. "There's got to be a way to shut these two up." he said out loud to himself. It then occurred to him that using the Pokedex might yield some insight on his problem. He walked into the shade of a nearby tree with his nuts scampering behind him and the tree of them took an unplanned pit stop so Joe could do a quick search through his new gizmo.

Going through the settings on the Pokedex, Joe found the tab for Pokémon information. Selecting the Pokémon option lead to a screen asking to either input the name of the Pokémon manually or scan a nearby creature. The decision to scan was an easy one, as Joe wanted to test the functions of the expensive toy, not this spelling ability. Joe scanned one of the Seedots in front of him and the LED screen displayed the picture of a Pokémon with its name in bold below it….the only problem was that it wasn't Seedot. "What the F is a Ditto?" Joe asked loudly. The pink jelly-like blob shown on screen must've been an error in the Pokedex's programming thought the new trainer and his confusion would've been settled if Joe hadn't tuned the volume off earlier and been able to hear the robotic voice recite a brief description of the Transform Pokémon.

Unsatisfied with the result, Joe left the confines of the tree and continued on. The Seedots once again followed behind in single file while the human fiddled with the settings of the Pokedex to see if there was anything he could do to fix his 'broken' device. During this time of preoccupation, the lead 'Seedot' turned to face its peer and changed back into its original amoeba-like form. Ditto gave a sheepish smirk before sticking out its tongue to antagonize the actual acorn Pokémon. Seedot began to cry loudly, and the sense of urgency emanating from his new partner reflexed Joe into turning around quickly. Even with his quick movements, the wild Ditto was able to transform back into a doppelganger of Seedot before Joe could turn around. The trainer couldn't understand what was going on, and assumed the two to be playing with each other since they've been fine with each other up until then.

The three walked up a small ledge headed towards thicker trees and grass. The Pokedex said that most wild Pokémon like to live in areas that haven't been touched by human expansion and that the only way to get more Pokémon was to battle against wild ones, so Joe assumed correctly that it was a good place to start. Even though the 'Seedot' behind him was still wild, Joe incorrectly assumed that it was his new Pokémon since it started to follow him, and saw no need to battle it. He had wanted to see if he could catch something that didn't resemble something that fell out of a tree and there were sue to be plenty of little monsters out here to catch.

In front of the trainer was a small bush that shook as they drew near. Curiosity got to them all, but Ditto was the most intrigued and waddled over to it. A small brown mammal appeared and began to sniff the fake acorn with much interest. The Ditto kept up its charade even still, and replied in an angered tone as if it didn't want to be sniffed. "It's a tiny raccoon!" said Joe in a low tone. He then wondered if the Pokedex would have the same problem scanning this new species as it did Seedot. Going through the same procedure as with Seedot, Joe scanned the furry critter and was relieved to see the picture of what was apparently called a Sentret show up on screen.

Before Joe could scroll through the Trainer's Tips section under the Pokedex menu to learn how to properly fight two creatures and capturing, he watched as the Sentret's instincts took over and takes a large bite on the head of the pretend 'Seedot.' It cried in pain before transforming into a gooey slime and running into the woods. Upon witnessing the transformation, Joe's jaw dropped and said, "Oh…so Ditto things can turn into other Pokémon…that explains the Pokedex issue." After the Ditto revelation, he looked at his Seedot and said. "Well….can you do that too?" The acorn shook its head to say no, which was not a surprise to his master and the duo fixed their eyes upon the Sentret before them.

=================================================================================================================

Mari was given only brief pause as she watched the Pokemon in question struggle within the Pokeball, only to break free quickly thereafter. However, despite the beating it took, it didn't look like that Pidgey was down for the count, as the moment it broke free, it was airborne again and looking for an opening to peck that canine Pokemon's eyes out. Mari glanced up, and immediately, she knew what the odds were... And they weren't in this kid's favor. Two versus one? Now that just wasn't fair.

Taking up this new mantle, Mari rose from the bushes and announced her presence wordlessly, taking up a solid, supportive stance without even ten feet between herself and this child she had been watching moments earlier. She braced herself, cleared her mind of all other thoughts, and with an exhale, she drew the newest of the two Pokeballs concealed in pockets upon her black belt. With her mind set on battle, and her eyes on the Pidgey that had not yet met with a face-full of sludge, the vixen tossed her Pokeball to the ground without effort.

"Kindle. Kick its ass," she spoke, absolving her of a fistfight and washing away her responsibility to this battle. It now laid squarely upon the shoulders of her Pokemon, a budding Cyndaquil that with a chintzy of red light burst into existence not a moment too soon and with all the vigor that a new Pokemon should. The fire in its slanted eyes, the inferno of fire-like, majestic fur on its back... Maybe ordering her Pokemon had absolved her of physical confrontation with a pair of Pidgey, but once she saw that Pokemon spring to life on her command, all the ordering she could muster would not cleanse her of the connection she felt so suddenly with that Cyndaquil.

The fire that moved through her Pokemon's veins reflected in Mari's bright, cold, icy blue ones. It was on, whether this kid liked it or not.

And so there before Faris stood a being he had not likely ever encountered before, accompanied by a sight that might as well have been entirely alien. Was it a Pokemon? Was it an... It in any capacity? No, wait... Slender shoulders, child-bearing hips, breasts, eyes like a demon of the ice... Not all of those secondary sexual characteristics might have been picked up on by a boy Faris' age, and it was imaginable that Mari didn't want him to. But they identified her as female, as at least partly human, regardless of what she looked like. She was clothed in all black, boots, fatigue pants, and a tanktop, wielding her Cyndaquil as her 'weapon'.

"Kindle - do you know Ember?"

"Quil..."

"**** it. Aerial Ace. That one," Mari ordered, pointing to the unharmed Pidgey still swooping about overhead in a predictable pattern. "Wait for it... Wait for it... ...NOW."

And just on command, without enough time to blink once without missing it, a dazzling, lightning-fast slash came crashing down upon the Pidgey that Mari had ordered attacked. God, that never got old... Mari could really learn to appreciate that move again. It looked like that was all Mari's Cyndaquil would be accomplishing in the next few seconds, though; the Pidgeys continued to encircle the two trainers from just overhead, and with a snarl as a pungent odor entered Mari's nostrils, the vixen turned to face the child she had chosen to fight alongside.

Oh. No wonder. He was covered in the contents of the dumped ass of two Pidgeys.

"Don't wait for me. Do something about the other one."

The Professor Diaries- Chapter I: Part II

Elm briefly glanced at the voltorb shaped clock on his table and shook his head, "Thats it? I thought I called 10 trainers, what are the rest doing?"

Kiba let out a small chuckle, "You know today's kids, they are more busy in trying to get inside their girlfriend's panties than becoming a trainer"

Elm sighed, apparently busy in his own thought that had been preoccupying his head. He closed his eyes, leaning on the chair and nodded his head. A brief moment later he spoke up, "So, uhm, Kiba.. I forgot to thank you for everything you did. I have one more favour to ask from you. Will you help me one more time?

*tuc* *tuc*, the lab assistant knocked on the door.

"Come on in.", Elm smiled. The assistant, Daisy was carrying a fugly looking Phanpy, all cuddled up in her arms Daisy, the young, cute assistant is so hot.. Now I know why Elm generally lives in his lab in the games. Action!

"Oh hey there cutie!", Elm waved at her. "Am I so cute?", Daisy curled a few strands falling on her face.

"OH, no no.. I meant the lady in your arms!", Elm looked at Kiba and grinned, "Isn't she a beauty.. I mean the Phanpy ofcourse!", the men missed the frown on Daisie's face as she gave Elm the pokémon and walked out.

Elm continued, "Her friends are now with other trainers.. She also needs a trainer to take care of her but I need someone experienced. Will you take her?, pausing for a moment he continued, "You need to rendezvous with the trainers.. Where do you wanna meet them?"

Elm's Lab

Chapter One: Part Two
An Icon's Undercover Arrival

"Her friends are now with other trainers.. She also needs a trainer to take care of her but I need someone experienced. Will you take her? You need to rendezvous with the trainers.. Where do you wanna meet them?"

Kiba watched the small Phanpy for a moment and smiled. "... Of course. In fact, I'll turn her into a shining example of what friendship can do in any situation." He approached the desk and lifted her up. "What is your name young one?"

Z aproached, smiling. "Emily, she says. What a pretty name...!"

Kiba smiled and placed her down at his feet, where Amber and Spirit both greeted her. "Welcome to the Family, Emily. You'll fit in just fine, here." He directed his attention to Elm, though his eyes were still cloaked along with most of his face under the hat. "I'll call them with this hacked Cross-transceiver once I hit Violet City. It lists as an unknown number, and can't be intercepted or traced... Just in case either team has caught wind of our plans." He gave Elm a grin, lifting his head just enough for the professor to see his glowing green and blue eyes. "By the time these trainers are through, Rocket and Neo won't know what hit them. That's a promise." He turned around, gesturing to the team, new member included. "I hear there's a nice building there that serves the sweetest Sake you could ever drink... You're welcome to join me there."

Faris Miller - Route 29

The ball barely shook before the Pidgey burst out, breaking the ball. It wasn't long before the two birds were preparing to resume their onslaught, a little more cautious now than before. Prometheus growled and stood, tired but far from done. I'll need to rethink my strategy. I may need to use another potion, but I can win this. Before he could give the order for Prometheus to buy more time, somebody emerged from the bushes. She... was definitely a feminine humanoid, but besides that her features suggested that she was more fox-like than human. He'd have to worry about that later, though, as Prometheus was still in danger. Fortunately, it seemed the fox woman was his ally in this battle (or at least not against him), as she released a Cyndaquil and began to battle the other Pidgey. "Don't wait for me. Do something about the other one," she said as she focused on her own battle.

Not wanting to waste any more time, Faris returned his attention to his target. One-on-one now, it was much easier for both him and Prometheus to focus. The situation seemed to boost Prometheus' morale as well, since he stopped growling and returned to his calmer state. The Pidgey charged at them once more. "Prometheus, Sludge again!" Prometheus waited, just like the last time and blasted sludge when his target was directly in front again. The Pidgey had learned from that time, just like with the stones, and lifted sharply upwards. After avoiding the attack, the Pidgey dove downward towards Prometheus. "Left!" His partner dove to the left as the Pidgey hit the ground, only it didn't actually hit, rather it landed. It started flapping its wings again, but the Pidgey wasn't the only one who learned from their mistakes. "Eyes closed, and sludge forward!" The anticipated sand was thrown into Prometheus' face, only this time it failed to blind him. Nasty sludge flew in return, hitting the Pidgey's wing as it tried to dodge the unexpected attack. The substance had wounded and soaked its wing, grounding the creature. I've got you this time... Faris took a second pokeball into his hand and tossed it at the creature. The Pidgey tried to fly, but it crashed down to earth in its unbalanced state before being pulled into a ball once more.

As the ball blinked and shook again, Faris turned to the woman who helped him and was still battling the other Pidgey, though he still listened carefully for the sounds of either the ball pinging shut or popping open. "Thank you, stranger," he said. He tried to figure her out. For one, she was a crass woman, considering her regular usage of curse words, but this didn't have any relation to her moral alignment (nor did her strange appearance), which despite her assistance was still in the dark. Had she helped him because he was outnumbered, or because she saw an easy opportunity for a capture? He thought about this for a moment before noticing a foul stench. It didn't take him long to realize it came from him and a little gift by the Pidgeys, something he hadn't noticed because of how focused on the battle he was. He scowled and saw that Prometheus wasn't much cleaner. Of course he believed that pokemon were incapable of being evil, he reminded himself that good didn't equal nice. Turning back to Prometheus, he said, "We'll need a bath once we get to Cherrygrove City, Prometheus." His partner drooped his ears and barked defensively before whining a little. Right, fire-type... "You'll get one whether you like it or not." Further whining ensued before Faris went and applied another potion, in case the Pidgey escaped again.

Scott - Bell Tower

The towering tower loomed over Scott as he stood by the front entrance. It wasn't as spectacular as he remembered, it was almost burned. Several monks were outside the tower, which wasn't usual for these people, as they are usually training inside. They sat on the floor, praying to the tower. Scott didn't care much to listen to their prayers, and stepped inside. As he stepped in he noticed that the tower was pretty much in ruins. Out of nowhere, an old woman came trotting towards Scott. There was barely anyone in here, and it was almost creepy to see an old woman coming towards you, whilst in the background, black and brown is mixed and is hard to establish between ash or wood. The woman spoke with a choke in her voice.

Woman: I sense great courage in you, wielder of the wolf, but be wary of the other, wielder of the fox.

Scott understood half of what the woman said, how he wielded the spirit of the wolf, but who was this wielder of the fox. He had heard stories concerning the fox and the wolf, but why should he be concerned about it.

The fox was all alone, by itself in the winter season. There was no food to eat, and he was almost ready to die, however, the fox had been sleeping in a small hole dug out by wolves, and was soon found out. The wolf felt pity for the fox, and helped it find it's way home to it's family, and afterwards the became best friends.

If the story tells us of the fox being a good friend, then what is there to worry about. Scott was fed up of asking himself questions. He walked out of the tower, and took a breath of fresh air. The old woman was probably making it up. How could she have known... It was one of Scott's biggest secrets.

Probably sleeping.

Seren flailed around under her twisted sheets for a moment before managing to extract her head into the open, and partially blind herself in the sunlight shining in through the window. The room was messy, with items of Seren's clothing strewn across the floor. The overly-bright sunlight and headache weren't necessary for Rosa to immediately know that she had drunk more than initially intended last night. The nightclub stamp on her hand and the person beside her, breathing lightly under the sheets just amplified Rosa's hangover. Pushing herself out of bed Seren walked directly to the bathroom, swaying slightly as she walked. Catching sight of herself in the bathroom mirror, Rosa noted that her hair was even messier than usual, despite it's short length and lipstick smudged it's way across her cheek. Rosa never wore lipstick. Turning on the shower, she winced in response to the rudely loud sound of the water but stepped into the warm spray regardless.
Walking back into the main room feeling slightly refreshed, although still grumpy at the prospect of 'daytime' she rubbed at the stubborn ink-stamp on her hand whilst pouting and then set about getting dressed. Once her one remaining shoe had been located [Rosa had found it hiding underneath the bed] she sat at the desk and picked up a pen.

Good morning. I hope that you are feeling a little better than me.
Give me a call sometime if you'd like to chat when I'm less inebriated.

Signing the note with simply '-Rosa' and her phone number, she checked that her Pokéballs were all present on her belt, and left the strangers hotel room.

The sunlight hit Rosa harder than it had in the hotel room, and so shielding her eyes Rosa made her way towards the center of town. Once Seren had found herself back in a comfortably familiar part of the city, she made her way to a small restaurant at the side of the street. Once she had found herself a table, a waitress came over to grant her the one thing she wanted more than anything else in existence; Coffee, and a full-breakfast.

"Thank Arceus for bacon..."

Rosa sighed and pushed her plate away from herself feeling well and truly stuffed, downed the last dregs of he coffee and stood up. Throwing some change onto the table, Rosa pulled a Pokéball from her belt.
The inconspicuous form of a 10-foot tall bright green dragon materialized in the middle of the street, and ignoring the indignant responses of those around her Seren climbed up onto the Flygon's back.

"Lizzi, I need to head to Mahogany Town, think you can do that?" Rosa called to Lizzi.

The Flygon gave a stern look at a woman in front of her who was exclaiming something about 'Manners' in a shocked tone, and rocketed up into the air with her trainer.

Fixed Float!

Joe stared at the Sentret while in deep thought. The young man never had to catch a Pokémon before, and this would be his first attempt while there were children much younger than him who have caught many on their own. "It couldn't be that hard, could it?" he pondered while his Seedot stared down the wild Pokémon. The concept wasn't too hard, just keep beating the enemy until they're too weak to struggle and then throw the Pokeball. The one problem that Joe faced was that he did not know his own Pokémon's moves or even what they did. "Um…Just go out there and do something….Anything." commanded the trainer. Seedot looked back towards Joe and was a little uneased by his trainer's command but still complied with the order and waddled in Sentret's direction.

Unlike the human and over-sized acorn before him, the Sentret was under no impression that it would be battling for its very freedom in mere moments. A curious little critter, the Pokémon slowly inched its way towards Seedot. It was a few inches from Seedot's face before it began to sniff the grass type as if it were unsure of the Pokémon. This invasion of privacy did not sit well with Seedot, who let out an angered cry before spewing a purple liquid into the face of the Scout Pokémon. "Hell yeah, keep at it!" remarked Joe from a short distance. At that close of a range, the Sentret had no time to move away from the Toxic attack. The goop lathered its fur and while it was unknown to both Joe and the tiny mammal, the strong poison would soon begin to take effect.

The Sentret was now angered by Seedot's sudden attack and ran into him using a Tackle attack. The blow toppled Joe's Pokémon down who then proceeded to stand back up. Joe was a little disheartened by the Tackle. He knew that Pokémon could endure a whole heap of attacks without too much trouble, but Joe had no way of telling what would be pushing it too far or even how to tell how a Pokémon's general health was. Sentret by this point began to feel a slight stinging sensation all over its tiny body. It growled lowly while gritting its teeth, an obvious sign of pain so universal that even Joe picked up on Sentret's condition. "Whatever Seedot did is starting to take a number on that thing. I should try to remember using that move often."

In a rush, the ferret looking Pokémon ran at Seedot yet again, intending to use another Tackle. "Dude, it's attacking again, do something little buddy!" Joe said loudly in hopes his partner Pokémon would hear him. Seedot braced itself for impact before being struck. Unlike the last time where Seedot was knocked backwards, the little acorn with feet withstood the attack without giving up ground. "That is the exact opposite of doing something."

Coming from his Pokémon, Joe was able to hear a small whine from then last attack and an even louder one from the wild one. In his mind, that was a good thing and must have meant that Sentret's attack somehow hurt itself more than Seedot. Now panting heavily, Sentret began yet another Tackle and Joe was beginning to have Déjà vu. Seedot once again withstood the by bracing itself and the acorn failed to budge in the slightest. Joe was about to begin muttering about how long this would take until Seedot started to glow with a bright light. "What the hell is going on here?" he remarked to himself while watching the bright light caressing Seedot's figure form into a tiny ball in front of its face. This ball of light then became a beam which charged straight into Sentret's torso.

The Scout Pokémon fell to the floor and weakened cries could be heard emanating out of it. Its entire body ached from the Bide attack combined with the Toxic poison and lacked the strength to stand up and instead began to crawl away. Had he not been so determined to catch the Sentret, Joe's astonishment with Seedot's attack would've cost him the chance. "Alright, looks like the hard part is over. Now just get into the Pokeball and we can all call it a day." Without wasting too much time, Joe gripped the empty Pokeball he had in his hand. He gave himself time to wind up his throw before releasing the Pokeball. The Sentret was now a slow moving target and its preoccupation with crawling away left it unaware to the capture attempt. Joe almost felt as though Seedot had been too rough with the furry thing as he watched Sentret get sucked into the Pokeball.

Poké Wars: The Acorn Strikes Back

The Sentret tumbled back from the attack. "Who's your daddy now, huh?", grinned the acorn pokémon. Sentret stood up somehow, his eyes burning with fire (not literally).. It dashed toward Seedot but stumbled halfway and the red beam sucked him (mmm, oh yeah).

Somebody call a doctor, we have a situation here!

Graham Chandler
Hunger Strikes - C1:P3

A worn path led to a small hill surrounded by trees that marked the entrance to Route 29. Graham, and Chikorita continued forward scaling the small mound marking the border between New Bark Town, and the west leading route.

The two reached the peak of the dirt trail on top of the mound to look over only to find a beautiful sight. The winds blew gently, filling the nostrils of the two companions with the smell of freshly cut grass. Ahead of them was a winding dirt road leading down to a mellow grassland area surrounded by more trees. The route hosted a pretty clear cut path to Cherrygrove City, and from the entrance Graham could see the gate allowing passage to Route 46 to the Northwest.

Graham looked down at Chikorita, and asked "This is a beautiful sight, huh? It'll be a bit of a walk before we reach the next city, but that means we'll have tons of time to train along the way." Chikorita smiled, and pranced around Graham in enjoyment.

"Let's get a move on." Graham suggested as he started walking down the path, Chikorita followed loyally. The path winded down the contour of the route, and the two trotted down until they reached the bottom.

There was a small patch of fruit bearing trees, next to casually placed rocks in the grassland area at the bottom of the hill they just descended. Graham pointed to the rocks, and suggested "Lets take a quick break."

Graham lowered himself onto the rock, and laid back on the stone placing his hands behind his head. Looking up to the sky, and taking a deep breath he noted "It's such a beautiful day." Chikorita hopped on the rock, snuggling next to Graham. He wrapped his arm around his new Pokemon, and the two rested for some time, soaking up the midday sunlight.

Half an hour passed before Graham was suddenly awoken by the force of Chikorita jumping on his stomach.

"Chika!" Chikorita yelped, mouth agape staring at Graham.

He sat up slowly giving a brief yawn, stretching his arms into air around him. He picked up Chikorita, and said "You must be hungry." She looked back him with a blank stare, and a slight smirk.

"I'll take that as a yes." Graham stood up, placing Chikorita on the ground in front of him. He picked up his duffel, and dug around for some sort of food.

"Sorry honey, looks like we're going to have to find something to eat. I don't have anything in my bag." Graham looked around, then suddenly had an epiphany.
"Look over there," he pointed in the direction of the fruit bearing trees behind the rock formation. "Let's go see what kind of berries are on those trees."

Graham, and Chikorita headed in that direction, until they reached a small ledge. Graham picked Chikorita up, and placed her on top of the ledge in front of him. Graham took a few steps back, then exclaimed "Watch out, I'm coming up there!"

Chikorita shuffled to the left, as he dashed forward hurdling up, and over the ledge with ease. They approached the trees, to find the branches covered in small blue berries. Graham was cautious about just picking the fruit off, and feeding them to his new Pokemon. He then remembered that he received a new Pokedex from Daisy, and Professor Elm back at the laboratory, and he could probably search the Berrydex to find out exactly what these were. Graham opened his bag, and pulled the new Pokedex out of a sleeve pocket inside the bag.

Graham sat down in the lotus position and Chikorita curled up in his lap to watch him fiddle with the front panel of the Pokedex. He pushed the center button of the Pokedex, and the display opened, and powered on.

A voice emerged from the device "Thank you for using the H.E.E.D. Pokedex Systems, Model HANDY1066. I'm Gordon, a Pokedex programmed by Professor Elm for Pokemon Trainer Graham Chandler. I sense an active Xtranciever within my proximity, is it yours?"

Graham looked at his wrist, to see his Xtranciever flashing blue, with the words "Press to Sync," displayed on the screen. He motioned at Chikorita to press it. She tapped the device, and the flashing stopped. The voice emerged from the Xtranciever now instead of the Pokedex.

"Thank you for syncing your devices. You may now actively ask your Xtranciever questions, and it will supply you with information from the electronic encyclopedia database. To initiate Pokedex mode, refer to your Xtranciever as Gordon, then ask your question." The device then quieted down.

Graham and Chikorita looked at each other, then he spoke "Well that's cool huh?" He stroked the oversized leaf on her head, and started again "Lets try it out! I know you're hungry."

Chikorita nodded in delight, and hopped out of Graham's lap. He then stood up, and positioned his watch out in front of him, and called out "Gordon."

His Xtranciever lit up, and Gordon responded "Gordon here. How can I be of assistance?"

"I want to feed my Pokemon some berries I found. They're small, and blue, and they're pretty firm. I'm not entirely sure what they are, but is it safe for Chikorita to eat?"

"Yes! From you're description you've explained an Oran Berry. They're pretty common, and grow in small bunches almost over night. They also contain a wondrous mix of flavors that appeal to the taste of many Pokemon. They're also known to contain natural basic healing abilities for injured Pokemon. I wouldn't recommend them for human consumption either."

Graham was astonished by the amount of information given to him by the device. "Thank you Gordon." He said, picking a couple branches of berries off the trees.

"Anytime, sir." Gordon replied.

Graham separated three berries from one of the branches he picked off then put the remainder of berries in a small pocket in his bag. He knelt down, and outstretched his hand to Chikorita offering the berries to her "Eat up, you'll like these."

Chikorita smiled, then proceeded to chow down on the berries in front of her. Graham smiled, and giggled a bit as the feeling of Chikorita eating out of his palm was slightly ticklish. He was surprised that Chikorita was so fond of him already, and was glad with his new Pokemon friend. She finished eating the last berry, and Graham sprang back to his feet.

Looking at his watch, the time read 2:14PM. Graham suggested again "Let's get a move on, yeah?"

Chikorita responded joyfully, and the two began to wander deeper into the route.

Scott - Gym Leader Falkner

Something was on Scott's mind as he wondered through the streets of Violet City, what if he were to take the gym challenge, in the even that he would change his - no he would never change his mind, he was not going back to his old miserable life, yet the gym challenge did seem like a good way to spend his time, plus he hadn't really spent much time recently with his pokémon - he says to himself he doesn't care but he really does. - he noticed then that on the way back to the hotel he would be passing the gym, and a bell rang in the back of his brain, urging him to do it. He wanted to do it, he really did, yet something was holding him back. When he finally reached the gym he looked upon it, gazing at the front entrance. Suddenly, the electronic doors opened to show a familiar face, falkner.

"Back again I see."

"Er, yeah."

Scott didn't want to ask for a battle, he had no idea how this thing worked, and he felt so embaressed.

"Don't fret about it, come on inside, I presume you are here for a battle?"

"Y-yeah please."

Why was he being so polite? Falkner lead him to a large rectangular field in the gym where he would have his battle, and was told to stand at one end by the ref.

"This battle will be a one on one between challenger, erm.."

"Scott, from Jhoto."

"Scott, from Jhoto, and the gym leader Falkner, begin!"

The referee pulled a face as Scott mentioned he was from Jhoto, it was sort of vague, and completely obvious.

The battle started with Falkner sending out his pidgeotto. Scott released his Gallade, knwoing one of it's moves was an electric type. This was kept discreet. The first move was by Scott, calling out for a energy ball to be created but not thrown. The pidgeot attempted to strike with quick attack, but was quickly slammed with an energy ball in the face, making it (technically) a physical move. Pidgeotto fell backwards, but was quick on it's feet, and launched yet another quick attack, this time hitting without a recoil attack. Gallade did a quick backflip before using it's signiture move psycho cut, smashing right into pidgeotto, sending it flying. The foe struggled to climb back to it's feet. Gallade didn't attack just yet, and was awaiting to see if the pidgeotto was down and out, or capable but tired. Sure enough, the pidgeotto got back up, and flew itself into the air, preparing for an aerial ace attack. Everything for a second went in slow motion, as a super effective attack came from above. Gallade pulled out its claw(or hand or paw or whatever) and charged it up with surges of electricity. The foe came close and close, and the electricity grew stronger and stronger, before pidgeotto got so close, that Gallade could punch it with thunderpunch. The punch sent pidgeotto flying halfway across the battlefield, knocking it out for sure, and best of all, barely a scratch on Gallade.

"Great match, here's the gym badge."

Scott gingerly took the gym badge, and returned his Gallade. He wasn't celebrating, but he had a smile on his face. he shoved the badge in his pocket.

"Oh, you don't have a badge case yet?"

Scott curiously looked at Falkner, who turned to a wooden cabinet, and opened it to reveal astack of cases. He handed one to Scott.

"Thank you."

"Your welcome, and may I just say how excellently you battled, you may even be able to take on my father!"

Scott just remembered the whole point of him being there just then, he must have gotten distracted during his battle, ah well, at least he had fun.

Scott headed back to the hotel grinning, with a case with one badge half sticking out of his right pocket.
