HITMONLEE hands down. It looks badass, kicking is way more cool than punching or throwing and its name is based on Bruce Lee. And also it's a great pokémon in-game, at least in the Kanto games I've used it a lot. I mean.

But Lucario/Riolu and Hitmontop are pretty cute and cool too.

My vote goes to Breloom which wasn't listed. I am a huge fan of Hoenn and that is the region where this little shroom was introduced. I remember when I evolved my Shroomish the first time and I fell in love with this guy. I use Breloom on a lot of my teams, especially competitively and he has never disappointed me. Really the perfect Fighting type Pokemon~!

Does anyone really like Fighting-types...? I'm voting for Primeape just because I've used one and didn't completely hate it haha. I quite like the design and the classic personality for a Primeape is fun, so he'll be my pick this time. Unfortunately Fighting just isn't the type for me :p My other pick would be Breloom but I've already voted - oops!

Votes for: Primeape, Meinshao, and Breloom

I just loved Primeape ever since the first anime; he's pretty temperamental and violent, but hey, this is the "fighting-type" pokemon we are talking about here! I love his fluffy white puff-ball hair against his beastly paws.

Mienshao is a beautiful whip-fighter which I appreciate since it doesn't rely on props like gloves and objects like many other pokemon for weapons. Plus, I like how the design of the fur appears to be fighting attire without looking like it's actually wearing clothing, of which is just tacky.

Breloom. What is this? A raptor mushroom kangaroo! I don't know, nor do I care, I love this pokemon. It's so cute, but not overly or obviously so. Lastly, I love its little club tail and spores on its head. If any "?" pokemon deserves to win one of these tournaments, it's Breloom!

Since it's so early in voting and has already proved to be popular, I've added Breloom into the options and given it the according number of votes. Keep voting everyone!

Going to have to go with Breloom, Hitmontop, and Mienshao myself.

The former and the latter I've always liked their designs. Breloom I am actually using in a challenge currently because I've always wanted to and then was a great time to. The latter two I've never had the chance to use, but I love Mienshao's design and I think I just like how Hitmontop spins round and round and idk something about it just pings me I guess?? Either way somehow it's one of my favorites hee.

I'm surprised Lucario hasn't gotten any votes! My vote DEFINITELY goes to the lovely Breloom. The only other Fighting Type I really like is Mienshao's line.

Mienshao. I enjoyed using my EV trained one. Although I have a Machamp, Breloom, and Lucario as well, Mienshao appeals to me because... purple. XD;

I voted for three Pokemon this time.

Breloom was the first Fighting-type I ever used in a main playthrough (all the way back in Ruby) and it only got better as the generations went by, giving it Poison Heal in 4th Gen but it was 5th Gen that gave it the amazing Technician ability which makes Bullet Seed and Mach Punch pretty strong.

Lucario is one of 4th Gen's most popular Pokemon, and I always liked how versatile this thing was thanks to balanced offensive stats and a wide movepool. I enjoyed using it for a while in my Black 2 playthrough.

And also Mienshao, I love how awesome its design looks but it's also speedy and great at utilizing the Regenerator ability with U-turn to recover some of its HP, deal damage and switch out.

My vote goes to Lucario. It's one of the most dangerous sweepers out there, and it also has better Speed stat than most Pokémon on the list. I've always had one of these on my Pokémon Black team, haha. It's got a handsome-looking design, too, which is a plus. Oh, and I also like using this Pokémon in most of my Brawl matches. I would've voted for Breloom as well, but I thought it'd be a good idea to just stick with one Pokémon. ^^"

My favorite Fighting type is Lucario. It was a big asset in Black 2 and I like its design. I also like the whole Sir Aaron story in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

Breloom is my second favorite. I like that it can stretch out its arms when it punches and I also like that it's a mushroom Pokémon. I used one in Emerald and it was a great help against Drake and Wallace's Kingdra.

I also had to choose Medicham just because I'm currently using one in XD and it is way more useful than I thought it would be.

Well I voted for four pokes this time:

Machamp : Even though I did not have Machamp in any games except in one hack I think, I loved how many moves it's pre evolutions could learn.

Lucario : Who does not wants this pokes. Awesome speed as well as cool attacks. It's signature move is way awesome.

Mienshao : I heard this poke is no push back and hits pretty hard. So I voted for it too

Conkeldurr : I don't know why I voted him but maybe sue to his Rocks as well as I think it's related with Machamp.

Breloom! Shroomish is among my favorite pokemon. Although Breloom is drastically different, it does not disappoint me.

Usually when I see a pokemon that's too useful in competitive, it turns me off from the pokemon. Rather, the exposure that made me like Breloom was actually a game called Pokemon: Type Wild. In this game, Breloom uses jabs that somehow extend his arms out meters-long, and kangaroo-like kicks with cute bouncing sound effects.

Spoiler:

How can you not like this cutie? ^_^

Mienshao (Got a really great design on that one.)

Breloom (C'mon, it's a mushroom! Who would think they could make a fighting mushroom look good?)

Scraggy / Scarfty (Not appearing in this poll, which is a tragedy as it's such a fun 'mon to use in the games.)

Oh this is fun.

- Hitmonchan
- Blaziken
- Hariyama

Hitmonchan has always been my favorite fighting Pokemon. Love the design and all the punching moves come in handy so much. I see Blaziken as more of a fire type than a fighting being a starter and all but it's still a favorite of mine so I think it should get a vote here. Lastly I used to think Hariyama was so stupid until I used one and I ended up loving it.

Riolu & Lucario - Jackal/Dog-likes always have some sort of unexplained impact on me, and these guys certainly get my vote.

Breloom - Mushroom kangaroo. It's certainly one of the more lovable ones, plus training it in its Shroomish stage is challenging but fun, and well worth it.

Other:
Gallade - Psychic/Fighting. I found the notion of a male Gardevoir in Gen 3 to be a bit awkward. While male Gardevoir still exist, I usually like to evolve male Kirlia into Gallade so I can use Psycho Cut and take advantage of its typing.

I really love Breloom so it definitely got my vote. But I also really love Lucario. It was the first Gen IV pokemon I ever saw and I really loved the movie it was featured in.

I also voted for Hariyama because it was the first fighting type that I ever made a slot for in my party in any Pokemon game and he was very useful when I was trying to defeat the E4 in my Sapphire game.

EDIT: Unfortunately there's no option for it there and it didn't even cross my mind when I voted but I also really love Scraggy/Scrafty. Scraggy is one of my favorite Pokemon. Completely spaced off that it's a fighting type there for a moment. lol
