Ruby hack: POKEMON : SINNOH QUEST

POKEMON : SINNOH QUEST (RUBY HACK)(NEW TILES)

I got the inspiration for making this hack as I wanted to play a Hack
which had all Sinnoh Pokemon and was complete .
But when I searched for such a hack I found most of the hack were either in progress
or they had limited number of Sinnoh Pokemon.

So, i decided to make my own RUBY US v1.0 hack

SALIENT FEATURES

1) 385 Pokemon available in the game which are placed strategically through out the game
i.e ALL Sinnoh pokemon and 85% of pokemon from Kanto,Jonto and Hoenn
All legendaries and 12 starters(3 of each region) available in hack
!!!!ALL ARE CAPTURABLE!!!

2) All new event based on Pokemon league added which needs to be completed before challenging ELITE 4
(PARADISE ISLANDS SEE SCREENSHOT BELOW)

3) All new SAFARI ZONE

4) Quiz masters available who will test ur on knowledge different subject(e.g-science and english quiz master)
and give u various items as gifts if u answer correctly .

5) Various other special features like the fact guru, fortune lady available.

6) Battle tower like 4 contests -e.g tm centre,berry centre created to compete 6v6 matches after beating elite 4
(to grow your pokemon further)

7) Gym leaders,ELITE 4(including champion) and trainers uses completely
different set of Pokemon giving the players a New Challenge

8) Some d/p Exclusive attacks added like Aura Sphere,Dark Pulse,Close Combat

9) Pokemon can evolve in only 3 ways in the game(Rest type of evolutions removed)
a) Level based evolution
b) Stone evolution
c) Attack-Defense base evolutions
(Exception is wurmple its still same i.e personality based evolution)

10) Lastly the hack is 100% complete

BUGS

1)Title Screen not made

2)The Wally event is not working properly(Ralts he tries to capture faints)

3) Although I have implemented National dex in Ruby still data of starter and some
pokemon from other regions not recorded
(Although the information about Pokemon seen and captured is shown correctly)

4) Cries of starters and only some Pokemon have been inserted correctly
Rest will be done soon

5) Some of the d/p exclusive attacks looks strange like Ominious Wind,Leaf Storm

6) Pokedex is activated after u get Running Shoes
(NOT quite sure u can consider it a bug or not)

7) Pokedex order not corrected

P.S No legendaries and max of 1 starter in team level allowed 41-46 choose all levels not like all 46 levels

HOW TO PLAY

What is an IPS?
An IPS is a pach that serves for compressing a rom.
It works as a file because it reduces the space occupied by the rom.

How to Use it?
To use will simply be enough you to her to choose a basic rom
(in this case RUBY US v1.0(will not work with any other version) and to apply the patch using LUNAR IPS.

Doing this can finally play!

Emulator Setup
It can happen that there are, at times, someone that it finds the white screen after he has loaded the rom in the emulator..
to correct this bug is very simple..
it will be enough for you to plan the emulator as in the image.

when you will have planned the emulator as in the image, loaded again the rom and the game should depart.
In the case in which this didn't have to happen planned the modality Flash 64K
instead of Flash 128K.

I think you should do a bit of mapping to make it more Sinnoh-like to have better hack...

Excuse me for being blunt, but this seems rather pointless. Why add Sinnoh Pokemon to Ruby when you have D/P/Pt/HG/SS to play on a DS or emulator?

I don't mean to be rude, I'm just stating my opinion.
Also, to make it to Prog. Hacks or the Hacks Showcase, the thread needs to be approved by a moderator for it to appear; it's nothing on your end.

The thing is there isn't a single emulator of ds which works on mobile or psp
(not sure about psp though)

And secondly I know it had to approved by mods but its kind of strange one day they ask for more screeshots and ask me to reupload it and and after that even after few days it doesnt get mods approval and they don't reply to my private message
(probably they are too busy)

Well, maybe you should try a DS? And there are working emulators for PSP. They run a bit slow, though. And Mobiles? Those will never have the processing power. Not even the iPhone does.

I believe in this matter ur wrong
My mobile ( which btw is much lower in quality than iphone actually it is motorokr) and even on some of my friends mobile Gba emulator (gpsp)
works like charm for pokemon games specially ( without even a little lag)

And btw some of us like v.b.a much more than ds emulator(I think we should have a poll on this)

Lastly the hack is not only about Sinnoh pokemon(actually it is the main thing)
It has other features as well xd:cheeky: :cheeky:

There's a good bit of difference in the processing power required to run a GBA rom through an emulator and a DS rom through an emulator.

I did see the features list. Not too much new, but the new Safari Zone sounds exciting, at least.

Ya Safari Zone is quite unique and you would love the new pokemon used by
Gym leaders ,Elite 4 and the Champion
(the pokemon they use will give u a tough and epic battle
challenging but not very difficult)

Although im not 100% sure but i think this is the only hack which is COMPLETE and has 385 CAPTURABLE pokemon which includes all from sinnoh region,quite a few from rest regions and legendaries from all regions

So compete with elite 4 with whichever pokemon u like
(u can even make a team of legendaries from all the 4 regions but im advising it as im sure that team wont be able to beat elite 4
Reason u will find by playing the hack)

This doesn't seem like a hack, no offense. I say this as... Well, a proper hack has a new story. This seems more of a... Well, actually, more of a ROM Base, for some reason. I really shouldn't say that, as this is your work, but this isn't a hack, more of a... Small minor moderation. To prove your skills, learn scripting, then add more. This is... Easy, and is probably why it wasn't accepted for higher areas in this forum - it isn't too hard to make, and isn't very interesting or unique. I wish you the best of luck in the future, and I hope you learn more and make better things. (If you think this is harsh, I apologise in advance)

As for the Safari Zone... OK, good addition to add more, but please learn scripting and more to add WAY more better things.

... Your mapping does need improvement, and as for the idea of the island leaders... Well, to be honest, doesn't change my view of this. To really grabattention, you need new... Well, nearly everything. Nice attempt to improve something, but people expect a new story, new events, new maps all the way through, not some random additions. Sorry.

That map you said me to check on isn't really natural...
Ya know no island looks that square... And also grass growing in the sea is pretty weird...
You should do the isles more like... for example Navel Rock/Birth Isle etc...

People who want to be a part of the games as trainer

Pls specify a nickname and list of pokemon u want in ur team(6 Pokemon)
(u can choose pokemon from all 4 regions level from 41-46)
I want trainers having pokemon from 1 region only so specify first the region
like Kanto,Jonto,Hoenn or Sinnoh and then ur list of pokemon

And i still need someone to make a banner or a titlescreen

Make sure u patch it to fresh pokemon ruby v1.0 and use lunar ips to patch
Also make sure u have selected save type flash 128k(as it is a ruby hack)
(to do this options->emulator->save type->select flash 128k(by default it is normally set to flash 64k)

Ruby doesnt have the whole Day/Night system

Yes thats the specialty of this hack all legendaries and all 12 starters
as i said the game is for all who think pokemon is as important as story or map in a hack(may be more important atleast I think that:D)

I changed the type of evolutions to 3 types(o i forgot to change wurmple)
so no happiness ,day night,trade or beauty evolutions:cheeky:
