Is there a guy that can change the name of your pokemon in this game?

Yup, there's one within one of the buildings in Castelia.
This doesn't relate to the original nicknames of your Pokemon, though :(

Best to ask in simple questions next time.

I have a tendency of naming my Pokemon after other Pokemon, like Bulbasaur the Serperior. I really should stop doing that.

I only have one Pokemon right now since my entire dream team is route 7+

My little Tepig was named Tank. I feel that was appropriate for his final evolution. Plus he is bold in nature, so he is a legit defense tank.

My current Black team:

Apple (Snivy) - Just thought this one was fitting for a snake! Especially one like Snivy.
Twoface (Cofagrigus) - Because he has two faces! Plain and simple.
Guy-Man (Scrafty) - From Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, my favorite Daft Punk!
Darmani (Darmanitan) - This one was so painfully obvious, I couldn't resist. For those who don't know, he gets his name from the great Goron hero from Zelda: Majora's Mask.
Joule (Eelektross) - From the SI unit of energy.
Maple (Beartic) - Inspired by the Canadian flag.

And some others that I like...

Oshum (Oshawott) - Because he's Oshawott. And he's awesome (Okay, so this one's a little corny, but I still like it :P)
Moxie (Emolga) - I just like this word. It sounds cool, and not only that, but this particular Emolga is Bold natured as well, so it fits.
Bravo (Pansage) - Don't know why, but this one just seemed to click.

Oh god, my nicknames for Pokémon are interesting. XD I have as of right now:

>> A Samurott named Apollo (after Apollo Justice lolll)
>> An Excadrill named Mitsurugi (from Soulcalibur, idk why though)
>> A Scraggy named Jupiter (I seriously don't know)
>> A Sigilyph named Tetris (it's so colourful!)
>> A Zebstrika named Comet (there's Dasher and Dancer and Donner and Blitzen... Zebstrika isn't even a reindeer so what is my logic.)
>> A Litwick named Shiro (Japanese for White; thought it would be fitting because it's Pokémon White, yannow)

They're not the strangest, but they're so random. I don't even.

These are the Pokemon currently on my team and what I call them:

Dewott- Mijumaru, simply because of the fact that I like the Japanese name of its first stage better

Herdier- Sploded, because of the exploded face it has on its first stage

Pansear- Ace, because he was my ace-in-the-hole against Cilian

Tranquill- Popcorn, because it's a pigeon

Sawk- Blue Man, take a guess as to why I call it that

Blitzle- Jay Hawk, Machinima Call of Duty 24 day Livestream reference

I called Tepig, 'Fire-Pig' and Oshawott 'Otty.'

They seem really plain but ever since they were unveiled, thats what I've been calling them.

When I get Snivy, 'Smugleaf' or 'D.Cameron' will be his name.

That made me laugh!

I have a compulsion to name all my Pokémon in a running theme, and it annoys me when I run out of names, or can't think of one... so this time I'm naming my Pokémon in alphabetical order, with Victorian-style names.

My current team (you can see where I've switched out Pokémon for new ones with this system, which I kind of like):
Althalus (Servine)
Dorian (Purrloin, I thought Dorian Gray was a fitting reference)
Friedrich (Munna)
Ingrid (Drilbur)
Katherine (Tympole)
Lucian (Timburr)

When I get to Z, I'm going to start going backwards until I reach A again, and so on. I'm hoping to get a big range of names this way :P

When I first started out I named my Oshawott Eenie. Me and my friend Whitey wanted to match with the names. And for some reason we went with Eenie and Meenie. When I got to Castelia though I changed that, because Eenie just doesn't sound right with a Samurott, haha.

Samurott- Neptune. When it comes to water pokemon I tend to give them names from water-like gods/godesses or names of water-like beings, such as sirens. Just look at my blastoise. He's forever named Poseidon.

Zebristika- Zeus. I was in a greek-y mood. xD But it works too, since he shoots lightning beams of death, and this pokemon does too.

Reuniculu- Neon. I like neon green, and it was of a color similar to that. Not to mention it just sounded very psychic to me.

Scolipede- Lilith. Lilith, according to christianity, is a demon. Scolipede just oozes demonic tendencies to me; It's so badass looking and scary. Also the name Lilith reminds me of the color purple, and Scolipede is purple.

Simisear- Coco. I managed to get a female simisear on my first try. If it was a boy I was going to name him charcoal, but I never got the boy, so I had to improvise. I named her Coco after the coal part of the word.

Krookodile- Jazmine. Princess Jazmine is my favorite disney princess. The story also takes place in the middle east, where there are deserts rampant. Because I found a female krookodile first, and I found her in a desert, I named her Jazmine.
