Moving along:
Pokemon: Adventures In The Orange Islands Episode 29 "The Stun Spore Detour"
I like Vileplume, it's cute!
** Ash and Tracey fall inside of the Vileplume.
* Pikachu's weird face
Wow Misty reads title card that's n00
So now Misty has to take care of Ash and Tracey does this mean POKESHIPPING like in a ton of fanfics i've read
** Misty's weird crying face, I also like Togepi's happy dance
Wow Jessie's sick too and she's waxing poetic.
* Good action scene
** And another good action scene.
** Meowth "eating" Psyduck
Aww Poliwag tickling Togepi
Impressed how Misty didn't fall for any of the traps! Usually the Twoips always fall for it.
** Funny slapstick action scene
Closing Thoughts:
A solid episode.
The story was good, with Misty trying to help Ash and Tracey, who breathed in Stun Spore. Very good story, it was nice to see Misty take charge, and be significantly more competent than Ash in regards to not falling for Team Rocket tricks. I also liked how they had the same goal. Nice emotional scenes as well.
The action scenes were solid as always for the show.
And good jokes aplenty.
Overall, 8/10.

Time for the Orange League!
Pokemon: Adventures In The Orange Islands Episode 30 "Hello, Pummelo!"
I hope Ash WINS the Orange League and doesn't lose just so the show keeps going
Dragonite's a legendary Pokemon? huh
Hey was that a Twin Peaks soundalike in the background
Glad Ash knew when to switch out unlike ME WHO STUCK WITH BUTTERFREE FOR SO SO LONG
** Ditto being cute
*** VERY well-done gym battle scene
"The next one's gonna ROCK YOU" *sends out Onix* SICK PUN
** Another good one.
* Tauros hitting the rocks.
*** Killer action scene followed by ONE HELL OF A CLIFFHANGER! Holy cow.
Closing Thoughts:
An okay ep.
The story was very good, with Ash facing off Drake in the Orange League. Exciting and tense with no filler.
The action scenes were very well-done as well, very tense and exciting.
The jokes weren't very good, but there were some good scenes.
Overall, 7/10.

We are the champions, my friends
And we keep on fighting till the end

Freddie Mercury of Queen, "We Are The Champions"
Can Ash win?
Pokemon: Adventures In The Orange Islands Episode 31 "Enter The Dragonite"
* A funny scene with Team Rocket, I like Meowth filing his claws!
** Very good action scene here!
Man why does Misty look so angry in the background
** Another good battle scene
Does the seismic toss really go around the world?
** Good action scene once again
*** INCREDIBLE CLIMAX!
** Very good scene here.
* Jessie dragging James
I v I battle, this is intense!
*** SUPER-WELL-DONE climax scene to this episode, really gave me adrenaline rush with the intensity!
HOLY CRAPPP! ASH WON A LEAGUE! HE'S NOT A FAILURE!
Closing Thoughts:
One of the best episodes!
Once again we got ourselves the big Orange League battle. In an episode like this, where the main focus is the core of the show, battling, the main point is how good the action scenes were.
And BOI did they ever deliver. All the battles in this episode were super-intense, exciting, and thrilling, and kept me on the edge of my seat! The last scene in particular was amazingly well-done.
Good story (ASH WON A LEAGUE! I can't express how happy that makes me) and comic relief as well and we got ourselves a 9/10!

Just two left in the Orange Islands arc!
Pokemon: Adventures In The Orange Islands Episode 34 "A Tent Situation"
** Pikachu's weird face
* Ash's reaction to seeing Brock again.
Yay Brock's back! Could this mean no more one-note "I WANNA DRAW THIS POKEMON" nonsense
Woah Brock has PTSD or is possessed either way it's not good for him
** WOW Ash's mom throwing the shade on Ash
She called Tracey "MISS Tracey" did she just assume his gender?
* Man throwing shade on him again referring to his ORANGE ISLANDS TROPHY as a "new dumbell" possible abuse
** Meowth whipping Jessie and James
* Tracey's big eyes
* James getting eaten
** A good action scene here.
Meowth: "Maybe you did something real embarrasing in front of Professor Ivy!" that's kinda sexual
** Another good action scene
Closing Thoughts:
A solid ep.
The story wasn't the best, but it was still entertaining, with Ash and the gang returning home where they meet shell-shocked Brock and Ash's mom. Also the GS Ball arc is REVIVED. Overall it was okay.
Nice action scenes as well.
The highlight though was the humor, it was stellar with loads of laffs.
Overall, 7.5/10.

Is it the end or just the beginning
Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, "All My Love"
Time for the final Orange Islands ep!
Pokemon: Adventures In The Orange Islands Episode 35 "The Rivalry Revival"
Gary's back! And his voice is still annoying and whiny
Aww Gary has an Eevee! Misty's first thought is that it's so cute!
** Very good action scene
* Nice emotional music in this scene
** Brock still being weird
"We're headed for new adventures, new challenges, new achivements!" wow he's channeling the marketing team.
** Brock and Mime fighting
* Another funny scene with Team Rocket
** Jessie and James eating stuff
I also think Ash can win the Johto league if the company mandates don't screw it up.
** Funny/touching ending scene with the return of the "Don't forget to change your underwear"
Closing Thoughts:
A mediocre episode sadly!
The story was scattershot starting off with Ash fighting Gary and his Eevee and THEN switching to one with the GS Ball and THEN switching to some antics at home and THEN to some Team Rocket fun. Meh!
However the rest was good, action and humor were as always tops.
But a poor send-off to a pretty good league. 6/10.

Time for Johto!
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 1 "Don't Touch That 'Dile" (PAINFUL PUN! AAAA)
AAAH the theme song is terribly bland buttrock!
** Well-done atmosphere with opening scene.
* Misty's reaction to them being lost
Aww Jigglypuff on the hill is CUTE
Jessie and James hug out of fear again THE SHIP REMAINS THE SAME
** Meowth's random scream
** Funny scene with Ash being his usual genki self
Aww I like the Pikachu transition screen
It's "CHEEK-O-RITA" not "CHICK-O-RITA"
* Another funny scene with Ash and Misty
So many amazing puns with the Totodile and Jessie
* Meowth getting knocked back
** Jenny's casual "Can you repeat that" after Team Rocket's flashy motto
** Good action scene
Jessie and James hug again once again confirming Rocketshipping
Closing Thoughts:
Eh...
The story was weak, just a formulaic "Team Rocket steal Pokemon" story which is what almost every episode after this is like.
Action scenes were good and jokes tops but it's hard to have a good ep with a bad story. 6/10.

Cause this is filler, filler night. Seven straight FILLER episodes finally get followed by one that's worth it:
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 9 "The Little Big Horn"
* Ash's very wide mouth
** Brock imitating Stantler. Also why does he have a BIG STAIN ON HIS PANTS
Wow everyone looks stoned, they're inhaling smoke while saying "that smells good" in a dazed voice and they have marijuana eyes. DRUGS? IN MY POKEMON? IT MAY BE MORE LIKELY THAN YOU THINK
** Brock licking himself and continuing to Imitate Stantler
* Brock being his usual womanizing self
*** Very well-done action scene, the stampede actually being an illusion is interesting!
Aww Brock and Stantler together are cute!
AWW Stantler sleeping on Brock's lap!
** Another cute, well-directed scene with Brock and the Stantler, the music and dialogue makes it lovely!
*** VERY well-done emotional scene with Brock leaving Stantler, the harsh dialogue coupled with Stantler's sad face and the lovely piano music in the background is SO well-done!
* Good weird face from Meowth
** Well-done action scene.
Closing Thoughts:
A really cute and emotional ep!
The episode was where Brock finds an injured Stantler, and nurses it back to health. Cute and emotional moments abounded, such as the scene with them all in the house at night and the crushing scene with Brock letting it go. Though it's extremely high pitched cry was annoying.
The action was very good, a very strong and tense climax was a highlight.
And humor was tops as always, Brock being his usual weird self.
Overall a big step up from the premiere. 8.5/10.

On to the Quagsire ep!
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 11 "Once In A Blue Moon"
** The Quagsire emerging from the sea
* Good action scene
** Ash's very wide mouth
I really like Quagsire, it's funny
** Quagsire on Ash
** Funny scene with Ash and Chikorita.
* Meowth: "I Can go for a nice sammich!" nice slang
* Meowth's face getting stretched
** Good action scene.
I can't believe Ash was willing to break the law.
** Well-directed scene with the Quagsire ritual.
** Quagsire's cheering.
So maybe Ash can WIN the Johto league! Let's hope it's not a repeat of Kanto.
** The final scene with all the stuff returning was also well-done thanks to the music.
Closing Thoughts:
A silly and entertaining one.
The episode was really goofy. All the round objects in a certain town are stolen by a group of Quagsire, as part of a bizarre nighttime ritual, and one of them is the GS ball. A silly fun premise, I enjoyed it.
Action was alright, not mind-blowing but fine.
Humor was a highlight, Quagsire is such a goofy Pokemon and it really shone.
Overall, 8/10.

After three MORE skips we move right along!
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 15 "Fighting Flyer With Fire" (THAT PUN! IT BURRRNS)
More than a few Detours the narrator says. You got that right.
I love how donning some glasses makes them not recognize Team Rocket.
** Good action scene. Nice they got it out of the way so no more Team Rocket.
Pidgeot's awfully big, ain't it.
** Chikorita being funny.
** Solid gym battle sequence, like the music in the background.
I like how he says to all his pokemon "you deserve a good long rest" which makes it sound like they're DEAD
Aww Pikachu's droopy ears are so cute!
*** One HELL of an Intense climax! Pidgeot vs Charizard was fantastically done.
Closing Thoughts:
A good gym battle episode as always.
Story and humor weren't really the emphasis this time around, the emphasis was on action, and it definitely delivered! The gym battling was very solid as ever, especially the climax with Charizard vs Pidgeot!
Overall, 8/10.

Hush now don't you cry
Wipe away the teardrops from your eyes

Geoff Tate of Queensryche, "Silent Lucidity"
Time for some crybaby Marill fun!
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 16 "For Crying Out Loud!"
* Lovely music playing when Brock's new girlfriend is introduced.
Misty instantly states Marill is cute, I TOTALLY agree that it's cute, especially with the little bow on it.
** Marill crying and their attempts to calm it down.
"I wonder why the Marill is so scared of me?"
"It must have got a good look at you"
YAY more burn heal-worthy roasts
** More super-loud Marrill crying
Wait Brock momentary looked like he had WEBBED HANDS he's NOT human
** More fun with crying Marill
** MORE fun with crying Marill
AWW Marill's being so cute with the Butterfree.
** Very good chase scene with Misty vs Beedrills.
** And more crying Marill fun!
*** VERY tense scene with the storm, very-well done direction and animation at this part.
Aww! Marill hugging Misty.
** And another well-done action scene with Team Rocket.
*** Very well-done emotional scene where they bid farewell!
Closing Thoughts:
A great ep.
The story was cute, emotional, and funny. Misty finds a Marill which is a big crybaby and is lost from it's trainer, and when Misty, Marill, and Pikachu get lost they have to brave it together. Very action-packed, emotional, funny, and cute this had it all.
Action scenes were very strong, the scene where they brave the storm especially was good.
And Marill's crying provided a lot of humor.
Top-tier ep, 8.5/10

I thought For Crying Out Loud was annoying personally. It would've been better if they had Tracey join them and the episode was about his Marill evolving into Azumarill.

I found it amusing personally.
Anywho, moving along.
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 18 "Tanks A Lot!" (bad pun title again)
** Pikachu yawning
Sentret's voice is weird.
Pikachu looks so cute sleeping
Ah yes Operation: Pikachu, the least successful military operation in US history.
* Aww Pikachu moving closer to Ash.
** "An apple a day keeps the Chansey away!"
What happened with Meowth's eyes
** Togepi and Sentret looking so happy and cute as they destroy crap.
Woah they're wearing military garb and starting "Operation: Sink Tank". Pokemon goes Call of Duty!
"Way to make large objects disappear that will SIMPLY AMAZE YOU". Sounds like a Buzzfeed article.
James's voice cracked hard
** Good climax action scene
** Meowth's face after getting burnt
* "Togepi, no driving until you're 18!"
Closing Thoughts:
A good goofy ep.
The premise was silly and entertaining, with Togepi and Sentret getting hold of a tank used by Team Rocket, and they wreack havok. They gotta stop them. An amusing premise with good tension.
Action scenes and humor were solid as always, as well.
Overall, 7.5/10.

Goodbye Ash's Charizard!
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 19 "Charizard's Burning Ambitions"
"Life on the road is very wearing" Yeah I can agree just look what happened to Robert Plant's vois
** Team Rocket getting burned
* Brock's typical womanizing self
ODDEST quote in Pokemon Anime history?
> random woman comes up to Ash and sniffs him
"The smell of Charizard is faint, but unmistakable"
um okay I thought she was a human not a Nosepass
** Charizard's face while trying to fly Ash
Nice homage to the canyon scene in Star Wars
* Charizard burning Ash and his reaction
** Charizard getting burnt
** Good fight scene between Charizard and bigger one
"I can't tell how it feels to be rejected so often"
"You don't have to imagine"
SICK SLAM
** Good emotional scene
Wow Charizard burns the Team Rocket robot right in the crotch
*** Very-well done emotional scene with Ash bidding goodbye to Charizard, the freeze-frame at the end kills it.
Closing Thoughts:
A goodie.
Ash and the gang go down to a valley with wild Charizards, and during it Ash realizes that his Charizard is still very weak, and is better off in the wild, so he leaves him. Lots of emotional moments here.
The fight scenes weren't spectacular, but jokes were good. 7.5/10.

After eight straight bland filler eps we FINALLY get a gym battle one!
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 28 "Gettin' The Bugs Out"
** Misty's reaction at the bug Pokemon
The Bug Pokemon leader has an annoying voice
How Is Cyndaquil sleeping when it's AWAKE
** Good action scene
* The crudely drawn Pikachu
The leader's name is BUGSY? Who names their kid that
Bugsy's Metapod has good defense but also good attack. In other words, HE PROTEC BUT HE ALSO ATTAC
** very good climax.
Closing Thoughts:
Solid gym battle ep
Once again, the action was the highlight, very strong fight scenes here. As well there were some good jokes and the story was well-paced. 7.5/10.

Moving right along!
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 34 "The Fire-Ing Squad" LAME PUN TITLE ALERT
What is Heracross doing with Oak?
The FIRE-ING squad is a lame pun title and also kinda dark
That's the Grand Prix? I was expecting Pokemon F1 Racing
I love their hive-mind voices
** Good action scene
** Pikachu kicking up sand, plus Psyduck getting thrown out
* Psyduck getting sprayed
* Squirtles on top of eachother
Man they set those houses on fire to be put out?
Nice robot filter on Team Rocket's robot
** Good action scene
So Squirtle's gone too! Wow of the original Pokes only Bulbasaur is left for Ash
** Emotional ending
Closing Thoughts:
A solid ep.
The story was good, with the return of the Squirtle Squad, who are in a contest for the best firefighting team. Fast-paced and enjoyable.
The action scenes were strong, there were some good jokes and a nice emotional ending. 8/10.

Biggie Biggie can't you see
Sometimes your words hypnotize me

Notorious B.I.G, "Hypnotize"
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 35 "Fowl Play!"
** Noctowl pecking the weird guy
** Ash under Noctowl's hypnosis
* The guy's reaction to the weird Psyduck
I like how Misty was so savage with that guy with her "This is a very special Psyduck cause it SUCKS" attitude
** The guy getting bonked on the head
* SICK fourth wall break: "We're gonna catch that Noctowl right after the next commercial".
** Funny scene with Wobbuffet
* Psyduck falling over
** Good action scene with Team Rocket.
* Jame's falsetto screech
** Pikachu's pupiless eyes
*** Intense climax!
Closing Thoughts:
A great episode!
The story was good, with Ash trying to capture a very clever Noctowl, very amusing moments were abundant.
The action scenes were strong as always, the final climax was especially intense.
The highlight though was the humor. This was a hilarious episode, with lots of funny scenes.
Overall, 8.5/10.

Second-to-last ep before the movie!
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 38 "The Fortune Hunters"
Mentions what kind of Pokemon you are just because of your birthday? Seems more like it would have like a questionaire. JUST RANTING
How does Misty know when Ash and Brock were born WE don't know when they were born
** Misty's weird frozen face
Aww Jessie sitting next to the Eevee
** Meowth's weird face
It's Butch and Cassidy! And Butch still has a smoker rasp voice
** Brock being his usual self
*** Ah yes, the Flaming Moltres scene which many took as confirmation that James is indeed homosexual. Not me though #Rocketshippingforever
** Very good action scene
Aw man we never found out what type they REALLY were
Closing Thoughts:
Silly fun!
The story was goofy, with the gang acquiring a phony fortune teller book that is actually created by Cassidy and Chainsmoker Butch, James gets a little too carried away with the book when HE finds it though.
The action was solid as per usual
And many a laugh was had.
Overall, 7.5/10.

Silence shrouds the forest
As the birds announce the dawn

Geddy Lee of Rush, "The Necromancer"
Final ep before Pokemon 3!
Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Episode 40 "Forest Grumps"
* Team Rocket's weird faces
Huh so Jessie got mixed up with Ash and Brock and Misty with James and Meowth. This should be FUN!
** Brock's anguished scream
** Jessie trying not to drool
** Rabid James and Meowth
Aww Brock gives Jessie his blanket
Meowth flipped the bird twice!
Wow Jessie's backstory is surprisingly sad. She had so many dreams as a child but had to turn to crime because of money woes
** Good action scenes
* Victreebel eating James
** Another good tense scene
* Meowth's pupiless eyes
** ANOTHER good one!
This may sound odd but does James' hair look SHINIER
Closing Thoughts:
Solid finish to the Johto Journeys.
The story was good, they have to survive in the forest but a mix-up had Misty with Team Rocket and Jessie with Ash! Hilarity and angst ensues.
Action scenes were solid as always.
And humor was on point.
Solid finish. 8/10.

To answer your question about why Heracross was with Oak- there were times in Johto where Ash would send one of his Johto Pokémon to him so that he could study it. Usually it was done just so Ash could use a Pokémon that had Oak had stored for him and he would undo the swap in the episode or two after, but Heracross was with him longer.

Forest Grumps was a great episode. It was definitely fun to show what would happen if Ash and co and Team Rocket got mixed up and had to spend time together and we got some more insight on Jesse's past and what her and James deal with on a daily basis. Jessie also got to see how close Ash, Brock, and Misty were and how they're able to make the best of everything. Psyduck being with Team Rocket and Misty yelling at him that he's on their side was hilarious too,

Time for my third MEGA-SIZED review! The third Pokemon movie.
Pokemon 3: Spell Of The Unown
** Cute/funny scene at beginning
I wonder what OS that is?
Wonder what brand of laptop the guy has. I speculate PowerBook given the movie's year of release
** Very good scene with the Unown capturing the father and it gets trippy
Animation in this movie is really good! REALLY good
*** Man that was one HELL of an openining scene! Incredible atmosphere.
* The dance remix of Pokemon Johto is better than the original!
** Quagsire's really big smile
* Typical Brock!
** "Greenfield's exactly how I imagined, beautiful green flowers that turn into a bizarre crystal structure!"
Hey TRACEY IS BACK! And his hair changed color to green again
** Once again Ash's mom throws the shade
So Molly is not bothered in the slightest that his father is an Entei? NOT A HUMAN? Also Ash's mom is giving more love to Molly than Ash.
First Molly crystalises the whole place and shuts her castle off from the rest of the world, then she kidnaps Delia Ketchum thanks to manipulating a legendary. She's one psycho girl.
Delia has creepy pupiless eyes
** James: "I haven't seen this many strange letters since I placed a personal ad!" hoo boi
* Good music for the battle
So now Molly got magically aged up a decade (but still has a ridiculously high voice)
** Good action scene
Delia continues to be more affenctionate to Molly than Ash
*** VERY intense battle scene, with Molly changing her age again
*
James: "How can we breathe underwater?"
Jessie: "Sometimes it's better not to ask questions"
Meowth: "Here's a question worth asking, how much of a role will we get in the NEXT Movie?"
Nice fourth wall break
Now Molly gets angry and sends out some ice. Frozen?
Also there's a Dark Horse soundalike in the background
*** Another intense action scene
Ash's Charizard is BACK!
Again, it isn't fazing her that maybe a monstrous Pokemon is NOT HER FATHER?
*** While not QUITE good as the climaxes to movies 1 and 2, still a dazzling climax battle between Entei vs Charizard.
And wow Entei nearly killed Charizard!
Jessie and James hug, ROCKETSHIPPING CONFIMED!
Now the whole world's getting crystalised this sucks
Jessie and James hug again! ROCKETSHIPPING CONFIRMED!
*** Wow wow WOW! AMAZINGLY well-done climax to the movie with the Unown. Both emotionally gripping and intense, the atmosphere, dialogue, and dazzling animation combined to make an incredible experience, from the beginning of the Unown fight to when the crystals are removed. Just unbelievable. Can hold it's own against the first one.
I love Entei's voice, deep and booming. Forgot to mention this before.
Closing Thoughts:
Another great movie.
The story of the movie was very interesting, the conflict being against creepy little girl Molly, falls under the curse of the Unown which the movie keeps calling "Unknown" and kidnaps Delia Ketchum, and she locks herself in her "dream world" where she gets wherever she wants. The gang have to get Delia and save Molly from the dream world. Not as good as the epic story of Movie 2000, or the deep one of the first, but still a strong one.
Some good jokes were included for comic relief, but the action was WOAH. The direction was super-lovely this time around, every scene in the movie was beautifully animated. Entei's deep, booming voice I loved as well. And all the fight scenes were good, but the climax was jaw-droppingly amazing and possibly my favorite scene in Pokemon. We also had quite a few sweet, cute family moments throughout.
All in all, a great movie. 8.5/10.
