I have Adblock and an updated Google Chrome browser. I never see ads. Not on Youtube, not here, not anywhere.

I was in a thread and clicked Page 2. Instead of getting me to the second page, it opened a pop-up to the following link:

http://globalconsumersurvey.com/ca-survy2/survey-ns.php?source=tv-uk&t202kw=Pokecommunity

Should I be concerned about this? Is this actually something from PC or wtbeans just happened here?

I'm not accepting any "prizes" for answering four questions because it looks suspicious to me lol

Just happened again in the picture thread in CC&P... Wtbeans :(

Perhaps did a website install a rogue extension on your Chrome? Check them for extensions you don't know of. I've had them installed that add ads to keywords in text.

I don't know. I haven't downloaded anything or installed anything in months lol

I do have some weird blue highlights that link to other sites on certain words now. What would that be? I haven't added any extensions recently :\

That's not supposed to show for supporters and staff iirc. It's an adsense-type thing where certain words are automatically linked so they earn money somehow idek but it's basically supposed to be advertisement but you're not supposed to see it if I'm thinking things through.

Blue highlights on words? That sometimes happens on my end too, even though I didn't add any extensions like in your case. And I am one of those members who does use Chrome.

OK. I got rid of it lol I went into Extensions and some weird thing called WebCake had somehow been installed on my computer?

Not sure htf that happened, but it's gone now lol It just started appearing so suddenly. Didn't happen yesterday! And I just got home from work and haven't used my PC all day so I don't know how it got there lol

When you install something from CNET, adware likes to crawl into your browser without your consent. I find it annoying, personally.

It's good that you fixed that, though. I actually remember having WebCake come in from a packaged installer once. -__-
