Avatar: The Last Airbender- Chaos Uprising [OOC+SU]

Skills: Minor Earthbending/ Naginata master. Jinkiro's skills in earthbending are very limited, and he can't use them alone to do any real damage, but when using them in combination with his Naginata he is deadly. He keeps his opponents off balance with minor earthbending to move the ground below their feet or rising it a few inches to trip them. Once the opponent is off balance he presses the attack using his Naginata's range to keep them at a distance while preventing them from recovering their composure by constantly keeping up the pressure.

Appearance:

Jinkiro is 5 foot 7 inches with long black hair neatly kept back in a pony tail that drops just below his shoulder blades. His skin is rather tanned from being out in the sun, and his body is quite muscular from intensive training and working outdoors. He has several scars on his chest and face from training accidents and combat. He also has a nasty burn on his right shoulder from battling with the Fire nation.

Uniform wise he wears a tattered and torn standard Earth Kingdom soldier outfit underneath a standard issue Fire nation set of armor without the helmet. He doesn't like wearing the Fire Nation armor, but he would prefer the functional armor over what remained of his Earth Kingdom armor. He also carries a set of Fire nation civilian clothes that he wears when not on the battlefield, and he desperately wants to replace these with Earth Kingdom clothes.

Personality:

Somewhat serious most of the time and he keeps a locked on focused look on his face in public. The strange thing is his attempts at humor which always come out in his dead serious voice, while he has a serious face. He doesn't quite realize people don't understand when he is joking or not because his demeanor doesn't change. This often makes his poor attempts of humor more awkward or at times even sound like strange orders.
Jinkiro loves being the best at something, and he will find one thing to focus on and train to be the best. Sometimes this leads him to have very unusual skills, or him spending way too much time mastering a completely useless skill.

Jinkiro is an avid fan of alcohol, and loves to drink a little too much. Despite his huge tolerance for alcohol, allowing him to drink most people under the table, he always seems to get to the point he makes a fool of himself. Most of the time he is an overly friendly drunk who likes professing his love to anything and everything in sight, but on rare occasions he is a sad drunk. Either way he doesn't act one bit serious and often his buddies in the Earth Kingdom military get him drunk just to lighten him up.
Strangely enough he can still fight pretty well while drunk, but will only fight when attacked.

History:

Jinkiro at a young age showed signs of being a potentially great earth bender and his parents quickly enrolled him into training. It was soon discovered his abilities were very limited to only the most basic earth bending moves so he was soon disenrolled from the earth bending school. Jinkiro felt shame in failing his parents and enrolled himself into the Earth Kingdom army to prove himself. He wasn't able to become the best sword master in his unit so he found a less used/mastered weapon in the Naginata. He trained night and day until he could confidently brag that he was the best user of the weapon in the world.

Jinkiro was in the first attack against the Fire Nation in retaliation for the death of the Earth King Solus. His unit fought well and achieved several victories but the arrival of Fire Nation reinforcements shattered his unit. They were forced to retreat and most did not survive. Jinkiro was stuck behind enemy lines with his small band of survivors, and they quickly sought to find a way back home. Right before achieving freedom they encountered a Fire Nation patrol and Jinkiro single handedly held the Fire Nation warriors at bay, while his allies retreated.

The Fire Nation warriors admired his bravery and instead of cutting him down they showed mercy and captured him instead. As a prisoner of war he was treated rather well, but he still harbored hatred toward the Fire Nation for killing his king. His freedom was given to him by the commander over the prison when the honorable woman received a letter asking for people to restore the peace. The commander of the garrison decided to send Jinkiro instead of one of her own men. The commander saw this as the first step toward peace and discovering who was trying to start a war between the two great nations.

RP Sample:

Wu sat in his prison cell staring at the food that lay in front of him when a Fire Nation soldier unlocked the door and motioned the Earth Kingdom prisoner to follow them. Jinkiro stood up slowly as he looked at the shorter female soldier with a passive uncaring look. Jinkiro then noticed the second guard who was almost a foot taller than himself, but he gave the well built man a passive look before moving forward. The soldiers escorted the man up 521 stairs exactly to the top of a small tower overlooking the small fortress. Then the huge brute pushed the prisoner inside the room.

Stumbling into the room Wu looked up at the only person in the room, a woman in her late fifties. She was the same height as Jinkiro, but her piercing eyes showed strength and power beyond his own abilities. She looked him over and said in a soft but commanding voice, "Wu, Jinkiro… I have a mission of honor for you that will help save both of our realms from the coming storm."
"I'm not your soldier… I'm your prisoners, but I'm interested in what you have to say," said Jinkiro eyeing what had to be a bottle of sake.

The woman followed his eyes at the bottle then looked back at him and she said, "I firmly believe someone wants a war between our two nations, and that the assassination was planned by someone who wants to see this world consumed by war… why I do not know, but the two water tribes are already at each other's necks, the Air nomads are getting drawn into this as well. I'm not the only one who thinks this could be the case. There is someone out there who is gathering a group of people from every nation. I want you to go and help them to solve this puzzle and expose the truth."

"Why me and not yourself or one of your soldiers?" asked Jinkiro as he watched the woman carefully.

"I'm too old… and most of my troops are too inexperienced for this task. The main reason behind my decision however is that this is my token of hope that our two nations will find a peaceful solution. By freeing you and sending you with just a promise of honor on your part I hope it sends a small message to both of our nation and your kingdom as well as yourself," She explained.
Jinkiro shrugged and said, "Ok… fine I'll do it. Mainly to just get out of your wonderful prison, but if it is true that someone is trying to pit our two kingdoms against each other... I want to find'em and make 'em pay for it." He finished the thought about if the Fire Nation did cause the assassination in his own head.

The woman smiled and said, "Good I bind you by honor to this task… swear to me you will pursue this task and make the ones responsible for the death of your king pay or die trying."

"I swear I'll find'em and make sure they rest in pieces," said Jinkiro.

The woman nodded and said, "good now your equipment is in the armory and if you need it you can take a set of Fire Nation armor with you as well. Show this letter to my soldiers and they will help you. Also here is a copy of the letter I received from whoever wants to stop this war… lastly if you want that bottle of sake you can take it as well."

Jinkiro grinned and grabbed the letters and then the bottle of alcohol and bowed before leaving the room to begin his new mission. 'Anyone who gives me free alcohol can't be that bad,' thought Jinkiro as he followed the two guards to the armory to retrieve his equipment.

Alianna felt the sunlight coming down on her making her pleasently warm. Wait... The sunlight? In her bedroom? Alianna opened her eyes to see that the sun was getting farther and farther away. No... that's not posible. Alianna looked down and found out that she was the one getting further and further away. She was falling. She saw other people falling with her. She looked down. Alianna found out that she was heading head-first into water with some other people she didn't know from her bedroom. No, her bedroom was gone.

"Oh crap..." She thought.

She criss-crossed her arms over her face for protection. It porbably wouldn't do much, but it would help when she felt the water slapping her body. She plunged into the depths of the water with the other people that she was with. Her name flashed before her in her thoughts. She couldn't stop thinking about. She finally reconized that she was under water, and that in order to keep living, like she wanted, she would have to get air soon. She rose to the surface of the water, gasping for air at the same time as everyone else. It seemed as if when the water flowed off her body, her memories were going with the water. She couldn't remember anything or anyone. Only her name, and that she wasn't here before. Or was she? Alianna didn't know, when she tried to think about it, her head started to hurt. She decided to swim to where everyone else was going. It was better to be with someone in a strange place than without one.

Alianna swam to the shore. Appearently, she falled into an ocean and was on a beach. She got up and swiped the sand off of her dress. Her blue hair actually looked like water just a bit. She noticed the others walking to little boxes half way into the sand. They all had the same note on them. Strange. She found one that said on it Alianna S.

"S? What could S mean?" She thought.

She decided since it had her name on it, it had to be hers. Unless there was another Alianna somewhere within the group. No, because nobody was going for the box ecept Alianna. The others had their boxes. She picked up the note which read:

Young Warriors,

You have been chosen here to bring peace to the land. The Clans here are on the verge of war. A war on magic. The South (where you are) is allied with the east, and wish to allow magic users to co-exist. The north and west, however, think magic will destroy the human race.

I have chosen you because of your skills. I believe that you will be able to complete the task I am about to bestow upon you. I want you to prevent this war. However, if it is too late, as I fear, I ask that you instead, end the war as quick as possible.

In return for completing this task, I will return your memories, and return you to your home.

The Name was smudged, so Alianna could not reconize who this was.
