[Challenge] Mono-Color Challenge

3rd & final update!

Defeated Team Rocket Executive at the hideout, so I defeated the whole gang
Then proceeded to face Pryce, who easily defeated thanks to Wildfire & Lumiere
Heard weird stuffs at the Radio Tower so I cleaned up that place from Team Rocket (again)
Found out the Director was a fake one, so I had to go to the underground to find the real one
While grinding on route 43, Wildfire evolved into Typhlosion
I found the real director and he gave me the card key
I then proceeded to defeat the Rocket Executive, saving the Radio Tower in the process
Went through Ice Cave to arrive in Blackthorn City
I went against Clair and I won
I went to see Professor Elm and I received the Master Ball from him
Went to Indigo Plateau to face the Elite 4
On my way there, I encountered my rival, who I defeated
I then faced the Elite 4 and defeated Lance
Got my SS ticket
Went on the boat and had to find the little girl
Finally Arrived in Vermillion City
Fought Lt. Surge & won
Then went to Saffron City and I got Insomnia to learn Psychic
Faced Sabrina & won
Went to Celadon City Fought Erika & easily won thanks to Wildfire
Arrived to Fuschia City
Defeated Jasmine thanks to Insomnia
Went to Lavender town at the Radio Tower to get the Pokefulte card for my PokeGear, but they didn't give me because the Power Plant wasn't working
Went to the Power Plant to see who was bothering me in my quest, found out someone stole a piece of the machine
Found it in the gym of Cerulean City
Returned it to the Power Plant
A guy gave me the Zap Cannon TM
Went to Cerulean Cape and found Misty with a boy, he ran away and Misty called me a pest. She saw my badges so she decided to battle me
Faced her and easily won thanks to Lumiere
With the card in hand, I went to see Snorlax and captured him for it's Leftover item
Headed to Pewter city gym and won with Insomnia
Then proceeded to go to Viridian City to pass by Pallet town to go to Cinnabar Island
Only thing I found was Blue who told me he'd gladly battle me at his gym
I then went to Seafoam Island and found Blaine there, battled him and won
I then went to Mt.Moon to do the rival battle there, which was pretty fun
Went to Viridian gym and faced Blue, who I defeated
I then went to see Oak who gave me access to Mt.Silver
I found Red and I battled him there... in which I won against the strongest trainer in the Kanto region.

Team after defeating Red:

Ok, I realize that I haven't been posting recently, but I'm still doing the challenge, I just forgot about it under the weight of the monotypes. I'm starting my Yellow challenge again, on Red version. I have a question though - since the only yellow Pokemon I can get before Brock are Pikachu and Beedrill, am I allowed to use my starter only up to that point? Because it's gonna be really hard if not impossible to beat Brock with only Pikachu and Beedrill.

Glad to see you are back. As to your question: Nope, gotta use Beedrill/Pikachu. Poisoning helps a lot.

So yeah, I used the Squirtle for the gym then boxed it immediately after. Does this mean my challenge is invalid? Because I've already broken one of the rules :'(

Also one of the rules says that I can hack in one Pokemon that's exclusive to the opposite game, but still in the Pokedex. Does this mean I can hack in a Sandshrew, but nothing else?

I will let it go this time, but please follow the rules from here on out. Thanks for your honesty.

Sandshrew can be hacked in only if you are playing Red, since it's a version exclusive to Blue. I don't know why you didn't just play Blue, though, since Vulpix and Meowth are also only found there too. If you are in Red, you may hack in either Sandshrew, Meowth, or Vulpix, but only one. It might be worth restarting with Blue if you want more than one of them though. If you want Electabuzz (which is exclusive to Red) you can hack it in to Blue. Restarting would also give you the benefit of taking on Brock with Beedrill ;). This is supposed to be a challenge, after all. Thanks for playing.

- Caught a female Poliwag. Named her Poliswag. (I really do hate myself sometimes.. haha)
- Did some training with wild Pokemon. Poliswag finally grew to level 11 (same as Toto).
- Went to Route 31 and battled the rest of the trainers there. I trained in the grass until both of my Pokemon were level 15.
- Headed on to Violet City.

Update #4

I just trained until Fluffy was level 17. I had to do in-battles switches A LOT since Fluffy knew no damaging moves. Thankfully, he learned Tackle at level 10, Poison Powder at level 13, Stun Spore at 15 and Sleep Powder at 17 (although I decided to not teach him this). I decided to add Tackle, replace Splash with Poison Powder and replace Tail Whip with Stun Spore. I figured Fluffy could be a good staller for now.

- Trained up a little. Battled trainers to train Fluffy up.
- Obtained Old Rod.
- Trained in Union Cave.
- After training Fluffy to level 17, I decided I would train them all to level 18.
- Toto evolved into Croconaw.
- Fluffy evolved into Skiploom.
- Was going to catch a Magikarp w/ the Old Rod, but decided to wait until I got to the Lake of Rage to catch the Red Gyarados.

- Defeated trainers in Goldenrod gym.
- Carried on to Route 35 and battled trainers to level up a little.
- Stopped before going into the National Park and headed back to gym - Pokemon are level 21 (Except Toto, who is lvl 22).
- Obtained Rollout and taught it to Ms. Blobby.
- Defeated Whitney (no problems, thankfully :P).
- Received the Plain Badge.
- Explored the city and battled trainers underground.
- Received a bike.
- Continued to National Park and battled trainers.
- Went through Route 36 & 37 and battled trainers.
- Got to Ecruteak City.
- Battled Kimono Girls.
- Received HM 03 - Surf.
- Received Eevee from Goldenrod City.
- Named male Eevee 'Lily'. I know it's a boy, but oh well :P
- Put Eevee in computer (don't want Vaporeon until Kanto).
- Went back to Ecruteak City and went to the tower.
- Battled Silver and defeated him.
- Saw the legendary dogs ^^
- Went to the gym and battled all trainers.
- Defeated Morty.

- Did some training on Route 39 to grow all of my team to level 25.

- Got HM 02 – Fly.
- Caught a level 16 female Noctowl to teach Fly to.
- It's HM slave, but I called it Poppy hehe ^^.
- Encountered level 40 Entei but fled.
- Caught a male Marill at level 14.
- Named him Mickey and he was sent to Bill's PC.
- Received the Water Stone.
- Arrived at Mahogany Town.
- Replaced Fluffy with Mickey and trained him up to level 25. (Took about 10848 years to do)
- Mickey evolved into Azumarill
- Caught the male Red Gyarados at level 30.
- Named him Lucky.
- Met Lance and then defeated all Rocket Grunts/Rocket Executive.
- Toto evolved into Feraligatr.
- Defeated all the Electrode.
- Received HM 06 – Whirlpool.
- Taught Lucky Whirlpool (this replaced Leer).
- Took Poppy out of PC, placed Mickey in and flew to Olivine City.
- Went to Whirl Islands.
- Picked up items.
- Taught Poppy Flash to enable sight in caves.
- Defeated all trainers in the Mahogany Town gym.
- Defeated Pryce and received the Glacier Badge.
- Picked up HM 07 – Waterfall from Ice Path.
- Arrived at Blackthorn City.
- Flew to Goldenrod City (because I forgot to -.-) and I'm halfway through defeating Team Rocket at the Radio Tower:P
