If you were to create your own villainous team, what is it called? what are their motives? what do they look like? what are they based on/your inspiration to create them? what do they use?

I have had this idea in a long time, 4 years now and I have been developing them mentally until I can find a chance to illustrate them or depict them.

Name: Team Abyss

Motives/Intentions: Gain power by bringing fear. Cast darkness all over the world and rule as the only beings who can see through theillusions.

Motto: "Your mind is our playground!"

Location of actions: Global, divided in divisions who are responsible of to their assigned locations.

Threat level: Great. Because everyone only speculated and doubted their existence and all activities they've done are completely covered up by their illusions plus suspects who saw them mostly think that it was a dream or imagination, their activities are mostly looked upon as just mere imagination and they use that fact to slowly achieve their goal, only announcing their presence when they have done all they can to ensure control of the region, such as placing black mails.

Team Capacity: Each division has a different capability, but all have the ability to use illusions. Each division uses illusion differently, depending on how they bring the fear. The most common method is to disguise as different trainers and wait in ambush. All can use illusion to escape, but their illusions have a limit. Only Sunlight, even Sunny Day, can cause their equipment to malfunction, causing distorted images and lost disguises.

Pokemon usage: Zoruas & Zoroark, Few basic dark-types, Ghost-types.

Ranking: Grunts, Captains, Commanders, Founder. Each commander has their own title depending on their division assigned

Idea origin: Team Abyss was thought of as a Dark-type using team, before generation V. No real motives back then other than to use dark types. After Zoroark's introduction, I have began to think that they should harness illusions to trick trainers and hide themselves, like Team Rocket's Petrel, only more clever and sneaky.

Appearances: Grunts are pictured as a group who wear hoodies and dark clothing. Their hoods cover ther head that also covers a cap that they wear that bears their symbol. This is a common attire that are worn by members assigned in cities and towns. Those that are assigned in rurals wear a different attires. They wear light clothing, a bandana that acts like a mask that covers their mouths and a cap, also bearing their symbol, similar to how common organized poaching can appear or how guerilla members wear. Their Symbol

Description: They are very elusive, rarely showing their real forms as they quietly do their objectives in secret. They research in neurology of both humans and pokemon alike to maintain their full understanding of illusion.

Inspiration based on: The urban Team Abyss is based on the hoodie subculture, mostly tied with crimes and anti-social behaviors. Rural Team Abyss is based on real-world guerilla movements. Their doubted existence and mysterious sightings are mostly based derived on most urban myths, which are mostly looked upon as fake.

Name: The Pokemon League

Basically, I want to see an enemy team that's already won. They Have the strongest pokemon, and they use them to extort, intimidate and blackmail shop owners, leaders of cities and families alike. Since they hold the strongest pokemon, they have taken the position of champion and the elite 4 alike. They have used those positions to corrupt the pokemon league into a recruitment system for them, gaining new members from those who earn badges.

The player would take the role of someone who defies the standing order, and joins in the fight to free the country, its people and its pokemon, from the oppression of these villains. He would seek (with the help of the underground) a legendary pokemon, whose power would allow him to defeat the "champion's" own legendary pokemon (which was which would obviously be switched depending on the version).

The rise to the top of the league would thus also represent to dismantling of the villains and the freeing of the relevant cities from the tyranny of the gym leaders, which would be represented in different items and features being available vs when they are still under the control of the League.

I think it'd be cool, at least.

Oh god. This.
That would make an epic story line for pokemon.

I would create Team Fungi, a criminal team that wants to spread forests around the world. They use grass type Pokemons, but to destroy lands and rocks, they use also ground, rock and steel type Pokemons. They're looking for the legendary Pokemon that is able to speed up the growth process of the plants, so they will be able to cover every area with forests earlier and create their green domain.

Lol...Team Fungi...
Anyways my team:
Name: Team Amarth or Team Doom if translated...sort of.

Motives: Conquering the world.

Motto: "Destiny is not a direction of life. It is a means of death."

Types of Pokemon used: Dark, Ghost and Fire types

What they look like: Dark robes with an eye in front when in their HQ. In public they wear dark clothing and a dark cowboy like hat with the eye in front. They never actually take their hats off as they intend to remain mysterious when confronted by others.

Inspiration: They are more or less inspired by necromancers from the middle ages and earlier, the robed appearance comes from the Ringwraiths/Nazgul in LOTR and the public appearance is sort of inspired by The Undertaker from WWE. Got the name from death metal band Amon Amarth, meaning Mount Doom. Amarth is elvish and means Doom, so it comes from Tolkien's works. Their motives is not inspired by anything or anyone, i found that out myself.

And there you go ;D

Name: Team Crysame

Motives: Avenging their dead Pokémon and world domination.

Motto: You did this to us ... Let's see how you like it, dweeb!

Types of Pokémon: Ghost Type, Dark Type and Psychic Type.

What they look like: They wear a necromancer's robes and an eye patch, a sign of death and pain. In public, th- They never go out in public. They frequently hide within the dungeons scattered across the region, mourning, crying and plotting their revenge.

Inspiration: They are necromancer's from the first age, returned from the dead. After their Pokémon's death many years ago, they have returned for their revenge. They are seeking for the long lost relatives of those who killed their old friends, and crush their puny souls.

Just an idea I had once for my previous mini-make of a little hack.

Wow, I think this is a interesting thread.

Name: Team Kumite

Motives/Intentions: Create a tournament where only the best can fight, with a special rule. The winner takes all the pokemons of looser.

Location of actions: I hide islands where take place the Tournament.

Threat level: High for the most adventures trainers.

Team Capacity:
1. A council of 3 members, one of the president
3. Participants (The invitation must be sent just a champions of differents leagues or important tournaments)
4. Champion (The one that beat all the other participants)
2. Support personal.

Pokemon usage: No applies here.

Idea origin: People and pokemon only can take the best of them when they fight for the most important things in their lives. Because of that this tournament have a special clause. The winner of the battle take the poke of their adversary, so just the most defiant trainers take this challenge, and know they must fight with all his might or will loose their pokemon partners.

Bringing champions of all regions of the world. The tournament generate a lot of money by the bets, and take place every 3 years. The one that beat all the participants becomes in the Champion, and when the next champion appear, they must fight for the greatness.

Inspiration based on: The movies from 80's about kumites fight, where fighters of all the world go to an island to fight each other to see which of them its the best of the best.

Okay, I wanna try this:

team name: The A Team

motives: Dismantle all religions (Without damaging them where possible - preserve the greatest buildings as museums informing people of how humanity used to be hindered by these beliefs). Yes, the A stands for Atheist, although we do love it when a plan comes together :)
Obviously, somewhere along the way we'd just end up destroying shizz...but, you know, all part of the grand plan.

pokémon: All types. Generally raised to a high level. Leader would probably have a couple of pseudos i.e. Dragonite. Part of the whole "dismantle all religions" thing is that we include pokémon worshippers in our goals, so lure out legendaries for grand one-on-one battles to capture / defeat them and thus remove their status as deities. So I'm only meaning like Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza - all the minor ones are fine. This is probably where it all goes wrong, we'll end up trashing places trying to take on Arceus with two Dragonite and a Magikarp that knows bounce...

appearance: Varied, we're a global movement and don't force people to wear a uniform. Although mostly we'd dress in "western" styles. Leader probably wears a suit or fairly expensive clothes (I'm talking a pair of converse for every outfit :P)

threat: Biblical, which is kinda awkward really...

inspiration: Syria, Texas...anywhere that's got religious-based problems really.

Name: Team Nexus

Motives: The abuse of Pokemon by many trainers; this group wishes to make Pokemon and humans equal and free to choose their own destinies. However, unlike Team Plasma, this group does want people and Pokemon seperated; people will be allowed to keep their Pokemon if their Pokemon wish to stay with them. They also wish to dismantle other teams that cause humans or Pokemon harm.

Motto: Allow Pokemon to choose their own fate, as dictated by the Great Creator Arceus.

Pokemon: There is no strict Pokemon useage enforced; however, noble and elegant Pokemon, such as Lucario and Dragonair, are politely suggested.

Appearance: Usually no strict outfit you have to wear, higher ups wear blue and white toga thing with a stylized N for outings to make them noticeable.

Threat Level: To a standard trainer, low, as long as you treat your Pokemon right. To a villainous team, very high.

Inspiration: Pretty much the books in Canalve City's library and Team Plasma.

Additional Notes: Members of this team are required to use the Following Pokemon feature. Almost anyone can join, as long as they treat Pokemon decently. You end fighting these guys because you see them ganging up on an abusive trainer and you assume a little too much.

...What? No one said a villainous team had to be...villainous!

might as well give this a try:

Name: Team Purify

Motives: Team purify is based on the belief that Pokemon training is childish and anything childish is a weakness and must be destroyed, in order to create a stronger world. They possess a machine that could completely erase something's history and make the world as if it never existed by dissolving it in a space-time whirlpool. However, they need a legendary Pokemon connected to history to power it. In the meantime, they just lock them in a bunker, meaning that Trainers still remember their lost friends. (Youngster Joey: They can't take my Rattata... it's not like other Rattata...)

Appearance: Suits, Ties, uncomfortable shoes, thin glasses

Threat Level: medium during the game. if they were to capture the legendary, their threat level would rise to EXTREME.

Motto: "Grow up!"

Pokemon Usage: Only pokemon that are humanoid, have serious expressions, or are sad (Yamask, Azurill)

Inspiration: Pokemon haters who think it is childish, except if they lived in the Pokemon world and had power. The 'eliminate childishness because childishness=weakness, weakness must be eliminated' bit was sort of based on ther Cybermen from Doctor Who. (The space-time whirlpool was also based on Doctor Who.)

Name: Team Solace

Motives/Intentions: To destroy the world and deliver the souls of all pokemon and humans to their pokemon god, Afterrus, god of the Afterlife.

Motto: "Welcome the End"

Location of actions: The Zorra region, a large floating continent.

Threat level: Dire

Team Capacity: The team acts as a new and rapidly growing religion in the region, led by a young man who can supposedly speak to this mysterious pokemon, Afterrus. They have churches throughout the region, where they spread the news about Afterrus, and his offer of eternal happiness and peace in the "world beyond". The team plans on using the myterious ancient temples that allow Zorra to float to turn the continent into a planet-destroying weapon.

Pokemon usage: Mainly Flying, Psychic, and Normal types. Basically, they use any pokemon that can fly/levitate, and that has a divine/heavenly appearance.

Ranking: Neophytes, Acolytes, Priests, and the 6 Disciples, who serve as the team's lieutenants. The team is led by The Messiah, the young man who supposedly can speak directly to Afterrus.

Appearances: All members wear white robes that have increasingly intricate and ornate designs as rank increases. Neophytes have short hair and bronze designs on their robes. Acolytes have mid length hair and silver designs on their robes. Priests have shoulder length hair and gold designs on their robes. Priests have very different hairstyles, but all have platinum designs on their robes. The Messiah is bald, shirtless, and wears white hakama. he also wears a ferronière that has a flawless diamond on his forehead.

Description: Because they act like a valid religion, they can accomplish their goals without much interference. Most of its members were previously Pokemon researchers and Archaeologists, which is why they have access to the mystic temples of the region. They only actively battle those who discover their plans, and try and stop them. They are much smaller than Zorra's larger religion, Mathothism, which worships a god that supposedly created and watches over the Universe, Mathoth. Mathoth's steed is supposedly Arceus, who has a fragment of his power. Mathoth and Afterrus would be at conflict with each other, and would be version mascots.

Woah, this thread is over a year old, juliusP. In the future, please make sure that a thread has posted in within the last month before replying, since it's against the rules to bump it otherwise. If you're still interested in a topic that hasn't been posted in for a long time, feel free to recreate the thread, instead! With that said, I'm going to close this thread up.
