Kinyo: a new region, a new journey

Pokémon training has lost its popularity. The number of people who still adventure with Pokémon has dwindled and now, even the Pokémon League is close to disbanding. There are some, however, who still wish to pursue training in the Kinyo Region. You are of these people. Graduating with your group of friends from the small trainer school in Mahono Town, you now set off on a trainer's journey to perhaps prove that Pokémon Trainers can still be relevant, after all.

Roleplay Structure

This roleplay follows a chapter-by-chapter structure, using each badge as a checkpoint that each roleplayer needs to achieve. However, within each chapter, roleplayers are free to do whatever they wish, similar to a sandbox.

The aim of the roleplay is to progress through Kinyo, make friends, collect Pokémon, beat the gyms, and maybe eventually become Champion! Your journey is unique, and while the destination is set, how you choose to get there is up to you.

Catching Pokémon

Like a typical Pokémon region, a trainer progresses through towns and cities, as well as various routes where they may find wild Pokémon. However, this roleplay takes a more game-like approach to encounters. Let's look at an example:
DexPokémonLevelRarityMethod
#1Pidgey2 - 4CommonTall Grass
#2Pikachu3 - 5UncommonTall Grass
#3Ralts4RareTall Grass
At the end of a post, you may request a Pokémon (e.g. WP [Route 1] x1). Then, I will use a random number generator between 0 - 100 to generate your Pokémon. If the number is within 0 - 60 in this case, the generated Pokémon would be Pidgey. If it were within 61 - 90, it would be Pikachu, and if it were within 91 - 100, it would be Ralts. I also roll to see whether the Pokémon is shiny by generating a number between 0 - 1000. If the number is 1000, it's a shiny encounter. To generate its level, I simply generate 0 - 2 for Pidgey: a 0 means it's Level 2, a 1 means it's Level 3, etc. You may have up to three Pokémon encounters per route, which includes the one Holotch encounter (check the IC post for more information).

Otherwise, the personality of the Pokémon, how you capture it (if you choose to - it's optional!) and how you encounter it are all up to you! There's no limit to how many Pokémon you can catch in total, but you are restricted to one per area. Its moveset is up to you (so long as it can learn it), but I recommend following what moves the Pokémon would normally have for its level. Although the Pokémon is generated randomly, if you really like a Pokémon, or it's important for your personal story reasons, and it's in a particular route, I may make an exception - just be reasonable.

Also, if you're worrying that you might not be able to find one of your favourite Pokémon in the region, let me know in advance so I can fit it into a route, or, better yet, pick it as your starter so you don't have to worry. Kinyo has a lot of different Pokémon though, so hopefully this isn't a problem. Also, if you miss a Pokémon on a route, there's a good chance it'll appear again later on.

Battling other roleplayers, levels, evolving

That's right - there's also a method for battling each other (that's 100% optional). If you're making a joint post with another roleplayer and include a battle, you can make your team on Pokécommunity's Showdown server and battle each other there. It's a pretty simple way of determining who wins a battle, so there's that.

Levels exist in the roleplay, but they're pretty arbitrary. Keep track of them however you like, just be reasonable again (you shouldn't have a Level 20 on Route 1, for instance). The level curve of the overall roleplay is really gradual, so don't feel the pressure to level up your Pokémon either. The same logic applies for evolving Pokémon: if they're at the right level and at the right time, go ahead.

Just a note, if you do use Showdown to battle each other, remember to put the levels of your Pokémon in!

The Kinyo Region

Let's now look at where the roleplay will take place - the Kinyo Region. Kinyo is based off the western area of Honshu, Japan, and is roughly between the Hoenn and Johto regions. You may spot some familiar faces from these regions across your journey!

The journey starts in the western part, and follows a fairly linear path towards the east. You go through towns and cities inspired by real places, including cities such as Hiroshima. The Kinyo Region is home to a variety of climates and Pokémon - I've tried to make each area unique so I hope you all enjoy exploring the region!

Like your standard region, there's also eight badges to collect. TMs can be given out by the Gym Leaders or you can find them on random routes.

Here's a (rushed) map of Kinyo just to give you a general overview of what to expect:

Plot Introduction

Tucked away, Mahono Town is a quiet place, far away from the bustling city-life and energy found in other places of Kinyo. The town rests against a cliff-side, with many spots littered throughout the town to catch a scenic view of the sea to the north.

Despite being secluded, it offers education for aspiring trainers in the Trainer School, wherefrom you have recently graduated.

As a graduation present, Professor Wisteria has given you all your official Trainer License - your right to capture and train Pokémon. After attending your graduation ceremony, the world is your Clamperl! Will you seek out the Gym Leaders and challenge, with the aim of becoming Champion? Will you aim to reignite the passion of training and bonding with Pokémon across Kinyo? Will you travel alone, or with friends? It's all up to you!

The role of the GM

As the GM, I'll be posting new areas to explore when people are ready, generating Pokémon for roleplayers. I'll also be offering some optional plot elements for people to incorporate into their stories if they desire, such as a villainous team, etc. Please bug me if you have any issues, requests, etc., I'll do my best to help out. I might also participate in the roleplay, but I'll see if I have time.

If you're interested in being a co-GM , I'd be willing to take one extra person on as managing a large-scale roleplay like this can sometimes be exhausting to manage.

Rules

1. Follow Pokécommunity's rules and any rules listed in the Roleplay Theatre.

2. Respect other players and their characters. Don't use their characters or anything like that without their consent.

3. Try to post once a week - once every two weeks at most. It's unfair to other roleplayers if you drag the pace of the RP down.

4. The RP has an M rating just to be flexible to how people roleplay (e.g. swearing), but don't veer too far from how a normal Pokémon game would play out.

5. CSS is cool, but don't go overboard with it.

6. Use common sense - should you have a Level 100 Charizard at Route 1? If you're unsure or want advice on something, contact the GM!

7. Once again, just feel free to contact me if anything pops up or you need help/advice/want me to accommodate a story idea you have.

8. Have fun!

Sign-Ups

"How thrilling for you..."

Willow White / Female / 16 Years Old

LA7kfrD.png

Appearance

Willow stands at a height of 5'7" with a somewhat slender body build. She sports a lightly tanned skin complexion, despite the fact that she very rarely seems to venture outdoors much. Her emerald-green eyes are offset by her dyed, purple hair. Willow tends to keep her hair a bit on the shorter side, where it barely reaches down past the base of her neck. Willow tends to wear it in a rather messy style, as if she just rolled out of bed and didn't even bother to run a comb through it. In terms of fashion, Willow tends to dress in a more punkish-style. She likes to wear black t-shirts and t-shirts that often have band names or something of the sort on top of them, along with sneakers and boots on her feet. Various bracelets tend to adorn her wrists, with her favorite choker never leaving her neck.

History

Willow was born and raised in the Unova region, spending most of her life in Virbank City. The city always seemed to have a knack for bringing in the trouble makers, and some could say that it was only natural that Willow fell into that ilk. She began to run around with the wrong crowd, usually leading to the girl getting into trouble with the police, breaking curfews, and what have you. Naturally, the girl's parents longed for her to have a better chance in life and to escape this downward slope she was rapidly sending herself down. The couple decided that maybe some time away from the city would be best. Despite her protests, Willow soon found herself being shipped off to spend a few years with her uncle in the region of Kinyo...

Personality

Willow is headstrong, defiant, and somewhat of a loner. She can be very quick to anger at points, often acting without thinking and snapping into fits of irritation quite easily. A sarcastic girl, Willow tends to give rather annoyed responses to those around her as they grind her gears. Due to her preference of wanting to spend as much time away from people as she can, Willow is very awkward when it comes to social situations. She tends to disregard the feelings of those around her, often putting them at arms length in an attempt to keep them from trying to really get to know her any better. This easily gives the girl a persona of being cold and distant, which is something that suits her just fine.

Interests/Aspirations/Motives

Simply put, Willow wants to make a name for herself as one of the strongest trainers in the region. She feels that the best way to earn respect is through the acquisition of power. Now that she has a trainer's license, Willow is set to take the region of Kinyo by storm by showing just how strong she is. Defeat is not an option.

Name: Edison Kintobor
Age: 15
Gender: Male

Appearance:
Spoiler:

Ed is of slightly above average height, standing at 5' 10", with a solid, somewhat stocky build. He's very light, color wise, with light skin, light green eyes, and sandy blonde hair that does not resemble a Joltik, where did you get that misconception? He has a very refined sense of fashion, mixing the ornate with the practical. Sturdy shoes, simple slacks, and a white button up shirt are accentuated by his black waistcoat, fingerless gloves, and copper rimmed goggles. (Ignore the ascot in the picture. If it were a bowtie, maybe...) To carry his gear, he wears a leather satchel over his right shoulder to his left hip, which (thanks to the miniaturization technology common to the series) is bigger on the inside.

History: His mother, a fashionista from Hoenn. His father, a scientist from Kanto. How they met isn't important now, but they decided to move somewhere in the middle, settling down in Johto. Ed was born and raised there, even planning on attending Earl's Pokemon Academy in Violet City. However, his father was relocated due to work, bringing his family with him to the Kinyo region. Ed was understandably bitter about this, but had no choice but to comply. But now, he was attending the Pokemon Academy in Mahono Town, and can finally begin his journey.

Interests/Aspirations/Motives: Ed has always been interested in the special powers of Pokemon, and how they can affect the world around them. Electric types that can power machines, Grass types that draw energy from sunlight, Poison types that can selectively damage creatures while leaving plant life unharmed... there's endless possibilities, and that's not hyperbole! Ed wants to become a Pokemon Researcher, or a Scientist like the ones at Silph or Cinnabar, someone who studies Pokemon and harnesses their powers for the betterment of mankind. He hopes to expand his knowledge on his journey, and maybe find the Next Big Breakthrough(TM).

Personality: As an only child with a father too busy to spend much time with him, and a mother who tended to treat him more as an assistant or model than a son, Ed was always alone, and grew accustomed to it. He loves to learn, and reads many books, but Johto was a society that encouraged going out into the field and learning things firsthand. As such, he follows his impulses unhindered by doubt, doing whatever he feels is for the greater good. He has little concept of personal space or boundaries, possesses limited social skills, and admires those with drive and initiative. He's not good at expressing his feelings, however, and tends to bottle up his emotions, especially the negative ones.

Farah Isles • 15 • Female

Appearance
Despite standing at a short 4 feet and 10 inches, the aspiring trainer refuses to wear heels. Instead she opts out for flip-flops and slippers, preferring to be comfortable rather than eye candy.

Her somewhat brushed, chocolate brown hair sits on her shoulders. She dons large, matching eyes underneath a rather big forehead and pale skin complexion. Such skin color allows for her joints and palms to appear peachy in tint.

Do not let that portrait fool you. In reality, Farah does not sport headwear, opting out for untied, frizzy hair the majority of the time. There is a constant smirk plastered on her, albeit this includes during times where it is not appropriate.

Like the crazy woman she is, and rather uncaring with her appearance, she own several of every shirt, shorts and the like in her possession. Consequently, many are convinced she wears the same outfit on a daily basis. This notorious set of clothes consists of a black, short-sleeved, fitted T-shirt, surprisingly short denim shorts with fake pockets, and orange flip flops. If the weather dares to be colder, Farah reveals her orange, cotton brand jacket always zipped up halfway to reveal her T-shirt. The strings that tighten her hood contain white furballs at their tips.

In order to store her excessive clothing sets and items, Farah owns a cute, orange backpack that one would believe once belonged to a fifth grader.

History
Farah is the second, and last, child to a couple from Unova. In order to start a better life, they moved to the region of nnnn, where they could leave behind their troubled past and start anew in this attractive land of opportunity. Of course, as the second child, she had to work a teenie bit harder to grab her parents' attention, particularly her father's. Unfortunately luck was not on her side and she never did manage to be the daughter he always wanted; successful, professional, elegant. Instead the couple were rewarded with the gift of a social, energetic, rather childish young woman who no longer seeks the acceptance of others.

That is, until she acquired her first Pokémon. It was like a gift from the gods above: a cute doll she could squeeze and ramble her thoughts of the reasons why she prefers one ice cream flavor over the other.

Interests/Aspirations/Motives
From the moment Farah had stumbled upon superhero comics her dreams took flight. It was not to be a Pokémon trainer or breeder, nor a nurse or police. In fact, her new goal was to become a vigilante, and what better way than to test herself against the champions of the region? If she couldn't defeat these heroes, how could she ever fool herself to believe she could challenge villains?

Farah's personality, however, is a little more complicated.

Personality
Having grown with busy parents and an older brother who did not share Farah's desire to bond affected her greatly. The girl is rather independent and surprisingly patient despite what her demeanor might suggest. With it she also carries thick skin, her humor and excessive positivity acting as very good shields against the world outside. Let's not forget how childish and talkative she can be; a consequence of such an upbringing. For her, life is short and can only be lived once, thus she is quite the risk-taker and is open to plenty.

However, as childish and naive as she may be, she carries a kind heart. She is selfless and convinces herself that no matter how small, every action speaks for itself. To be a hero and inspire as her ultimate goals, Farah must first begin by setting the example. Unfortunately she is merely a human and weaknesses do exist. Other than what has been said, Farah, for the most part, has her filter turned off. Words and thoughts slip out without regards for the other's emotions. In addition, she is very prideful, perhaps too much. The adolescent truly believes she needs no help, having grown being forced to accomplish tasks on her own.

Friendship has always been a temporary thing for Farah. Never has she kept one, nor does she intend to. This is due to her lack of initiative to keep a bond going; it slips her busy mind.

Likes: Water, Watermelon, Swimming
Dislikes: Spicy food, Cheese, Meat, Mud

Seems like this could be fun. I shall start working on an SU soon. Finally did it. Did not plan on it taking this long though.

Name: Graslan DePétale
Age: 15
Gender: Male

Appearance: Graslan is shorter than most guys his age, standing at only 5'5". He has brown eyes and semi-long messy dark-green hair that is usually covered by his sceptile baseball cap that he prefers to wear in the same manner as Johto champion Ethan. Graslan can always be seen wearing his trademark forest green overalls and a dirt brown bandana around his neck. Underneath his overalls he wears various plain t-shirts, no fancy designs or anything as they're intended for work. He also likes to wear fingerless gloves that match the color of his bandana along with leather work boots.

History: Graslan hails from the Rustboro City in the Hoenn region. He spent half his time working in the family run flower shop on the outskirts of town while the rest of his time was spent studying Pokémon. Though training had been declining in popularity, Graslan found it fascinating. On occasion, Graslan would sneak into the old abandoned trainer's school to steal a few books on battle tactics so that one day he might be able to become a trainer himself. All three of his sisters would chastise him on a daily basis for wasting his time on those books instead of focusing all his attention on the family business. Graslan loved growing and taking care of plants, however he longed to venture out into the world and live the life of a trainer. One day Graslan finally got his chance to leave Hoenn after winning a ticket for a ferry ride to Kinyo through a contest run by the Devon Corporation. He immediately applied to the trainer school in Mohono, anxious to follow his dreams.

Interests/Aspirations/Motives: Despite being eager to leave his family's business and partake in Pokémon training, still hasn't abandoned his interest in botany. His love and knowledge of plant care has created an affinity for Grass types though he also appreciates the occasional Bug and Water type as well, as plants need more than just themselves to survive. Due to the constant criticizing he received back home, Graslan hopes to win the Kinyo League, not so much for fame or glory, but to show his sisters that it's not a waste of time and that there is meaning to training and battling Pokémon.

Personality: As growing plants takes time and patience, Graslan is a fairly calm and patient individual. Based on his readings, Graslan feels that the best battle strategies revolve around more tactical attacks over direct assaults. He has no problem taking his time to analyze a scenario and develop the proper plan of attack. However, he may soon learn that sometimes taking his time might not always be the answer. Due to his love of botany, Graslan tends to literally stop and smell the roses everywhere he goes and he carries around a sketchbook where so he can draw any plants that seem particularly interesting to him.

Partner Pokemon: Budew, Female.
Nickname: Rosa
Moveset: Absorb, Growth, Spikes (Egg Move)

Quick question: If my chosen starter doesn't learn any Egg moves, could I substitute a TM or Tutor move instead? Specifically, I'd like to pick Magnemite, could I teach it Shock Wave?

Spoiler:
Name: Gwendolyn "Gwen" Vesper
Age: 16
Gender: Female

Appearance: Gwendolyn's dark brown hair is wavy and layered, growing just past her shoulders. She has light brown eyes, a medium complexion, a generically pretty face, and a short stature. She typically wears turtlenecks and scarves, often wears skirts despite their impracticality, prefers monochrome, and despises anything that even looks like denim. Her footwear of choice is a pair of black faux-leather cargo boots that are probably a bit too worn out. Her glasses are slightly too narrow to be truly fashionable, but she thinks they look the best.

History: Gwendolyn is a single child whose parents sent her to the Mahono Trainer's School from Lavaridge Town, Hoenn. Her mother is a scientist working for the reformed Team Magma, and her father is a retired pokemon trainer who never beat the Hoenn league and now works as a schoolteacher in Mauville City.

Interests/Aspirations/Motives: Gwendolyn loves bug pokemon and wishes that they were less despised/feared. She is determined to prove to the world that bugs can be formidable battlers and loyal partners. In addition, Gwen wishes to outshine her father and succeed where he failed.

Personality: Having grown up with no siblings, Gwendolyn is a quiet soul who prefers to keep to herself. For the most part, she is a rather serious teenager who isn't interested in partying. She would much rather be at the park reading a book or enjoying nature. Nature, in fact, is one of Gwen's closest affinities. She loves plants of all kinds and prefers to be outside whenever possible. Thus, winter gets to be a depressing time for her.

Knowledge is very important to Gwen. If she doesn't know something, it often leads to frustration or self-loathing. Because of this, she is constantly trying to learn new things. Naturally, she performed very well in Trainer's School.

Gwen is, aside from pokemon battling, mostly pacifistic and would prefer to solve problems without any physical confrontation. She tries to stay on everyone's good side, but occasionally snaps with bouts of passive aggressiveness. Selfishness is perhaps both Gwen's greatest strength and greatest flaw. She looks out for herself and has trouble caring about other people's problems.

Name: "Guillo Espio" ( he doesn't know his real name, for reasons explained later.)
Age: 16
Gender: Male

Appearance: Guillo is slightly taller than most 16 year olds, standing a 5'11. with a pretty normal build. He's very lightish, skin tone wise, with a slight tanned look, probably due to all the time he spends into the sun, with dark brown eyes and hair (the shade of brown being similar to Diglett's) and a small, X-shaped cut on his right cheek, alongside a bandage on his nose. He usually wears pretty street style clothing, usually wearing a dark red bandana on his head, with his dark red (yeah, his favorite color is dark red, as you can tell.) headphones lying on his neck, a white T-shirt with a red Pokeball outline, a dark red varsity jacket with a white Pokeball outline on the right side of the jacket, as well as on the back. He wears red, fingerless gloves and 2 gold bracelets on his left hand. He wears dark blue shorts, that look a bit saturated color wise, and casual dark red shoes, with white bottoms and a white Pokeball outline on both sides of his shoes.

History: (Yeah, this story WAS different, but I kinda had to change it, since Morganatri ( the "owner" of this RP.") asked me a question that, with the current story, I couldn't really answer it. Also I didn't really want to make Guillo's story too much like N's, or, if you wanna REALLY get obscure, the Kangaskhan Kid. And overall I didn't really like Guillo's story (thanks past, tired me.) that much. So.... here's a better one! Some aspects still remain, but overall the story is pretty different. So yeah. Here's my simplier, rewritten story for Guillo. Enjoy.)

When Guillo was only 6 months old, he was abandoned in a small forest near Suimuse Town, after his REAL parents supposedly went "on the run" for a serious, yet unknown crime they committed in Highrose City (nobody knows why they abandoned the kid, though it could have been for convienience.) and moved to a different region soon after. Soon after he was abandoned, he was found by a Mightyena and it's owner, David, while on a walk through the woods. After a lot of talking between him and his wife, Diane, they both decided that they wanted to adopt the kid. And soon after, Guillo was a official member of the family.

Since his parents were always busy with their jobs as an electricians, his brother always spent time studying, and nearly every family thought that he was REALLY aggressive thanks to his attitude, he never really had any friends growing up, and his brother was way too busy with his online electritian courses ( yeah this family is mainly made up of electritians.) Guillo felt alone. He felt like nobody wanted to play with him, he felt like (and was.) a outcast. But he had one escape from his life of being teased and staring out of the window, watching other kids have fun: The Pokémon League.
Anytime there was a Pokémon League battle on TV or on the radio, he would watch it. He was just, fascinated with it. The lights. The crowds. The Pokémon themselves. Even the announcers, he was fascinated with ALL OF IT. Thanks to the Pokémon League, he was not only able to keep himself busy, but also gain a very strong interest in Pokémon in general. And he did that for many, many years. Until.....it was all over.

One day, while walking in town to get groceries, he heard the words " The Pokémon League in Kinyo may be shutting down." from one of the local gossip groups. When he heard those words, he stopped, hid behind a small barrel, and listened......and listened......and listened.....and listened. Until the conversation changed from the Pokémon League to a "supposed" aggressive abandoned Pichu in the nearby forest (keep that abandoned Pichu in mind.), he was in SHOCK. Even after he quit snooping, he was in shock. When he got the groceries, he was shocked. When he came home, he was in shock. When he ate dinner, he was in shock. And even at 10PM in bed, he was in shock. He was just, overall, shocked about what he heard. And that shock caused him to develop a plan.....a plan that took him all night to plan, and would eventually begin his Pokémon journey.

The next day, when his parents were gone and his brother was busy studying, he snuck out, along with his money, in order to go to the local shop, to buy Pokeballs, but since he technically wasn't a Pokémon Trainer, the shop didn't allow him to buy Pokeballs, and instead gave him a basket full of Figy Berries and Fresh Waters and left soon after, disappointed. However, he wasn't gonna give up. And eventually, after search for a Pokeball or 2 out in the open, he found a couple of Pokeballs in a box, took em and ran into the nearby woods. However, since he didn't have any Pokémon to weaken the local Pidgeys and Caterpies, he couldn't catch any of them. In fact, some of the Pokeballs didn't even hit any of them, the Pokémon just kicked them back at him. It seemed like there was no chance of him getting even a dang Caterpie and soon left in frustration. However, little did he realize, that he will soon have one, and it was a small Pichu. And this Pichu was unlike any other.

You see this Pichu, unlike most other, has major genetic mutation that, unlike most other Pichus, causes it to produce up to 4x more electricity than normal, and while that may sound kinda good (Pokémon battling wise.), but instead causes it to have a more aggressive personality, prefer only 1 specific type of berry, in this case, Figy Berries and requires more food than usual. But usually, with a little bit of love, friendship and care, the aggressive part of it, becomes a little more subsided. However, due to the fact that it requires more food, his original family abandoned him, since he requires a lot of care. Alone and abandoned, the Pichu went out to find berries, since in this forest, there are a lot of berry trees. But since the trainers keep on taking the berries from the tress, the Pichu had to resort to one thing: stealing them. So when he saw Guillo's giant basket of Figy Berries, he began to try and steal a couple or even all of them. So he began to follow him and went straight into his house. Where he ate all of the berries, and lurked in the house for a few days, until he was discovered by his parents after they notices a small yellow rat in the house. They also discovered Guillo's plans on his table too. So, of course, Guillo had to explain everything to them, and eventually, they said " You know, you could go and live with your auntie and uncle in Mahono Town, where there is a Pokémon Academy where you can go and become a Pokémon Master." Of course he accepted it, and, a couple of months of love, tears, electrocution attempts, band-aids and many fridge raids done by the Pichu later, he was on his way, with only a suitcase and a now, more tame, calm and happier Pichu.

Interests/ Aspirations/Motives: Guillo has always been interested on who his REAL parents are, after he was told all about his past when he was 10. He occasionally questions to himself who his parents are, what they look like and what they do now. He's also very interested in Pokémon, like, for example, how Pokémon are able to understand their human trainer, how Pokémon can grow a bond with their trainer, etc, etc, etc. And while it may seem like he is only interested in Pokémon, he actually has other interests, like history, fighting, pop culture, learning about the art of selling and the Pokémon League, of course. He has always dreamed of becoming a Pokémon Merchant, selling his wares all across the world, hopefully finding his parents and overall, trying to make a impact in the world. Also he really wants to make Flame laugh for once.

Personality: Guillo can have a pretty rough attitude, almost to the point of being mean, but is usually able to keep it in most of the time, mainly usually just being mean, in a more sarcastic way, He loves cute things, and when a cute thing is in sight, he becomes more compassionate. He mainly makes jokes, mainly when one of his friends screws up, although the opposite usually happens to him when he screws up. He can be flirty, almost always to the woman, but he usually ends up getting slapped in the face. He enjoys being outside, and can be very energetic, almost to the point that he's been labeled as a Lightning Bolt by his friends, which may explain his Pokémon of choice......

Partner Pokémon: Pichu ( Male|Jolly )
Nickname: Volts
Ability: Static
Item: Figy Berry
Moveset: Thunder Shock, Charm, Tail Whip, Electric Terrain

( Btw, I did make a avatar for Guillo, using one of thse Pokémon Trainer makers and saved it into my computer, but apparentaly the file is incompatible, sooo….. here's a description instead.)

Did you try using a screen capture via Print Screen and pasting the image in MS Paint?

No, sadly. I tried to copy and paste the file into Paint 3D, but something went wrong. Just gimme a moment.

Hey look! The file actually works in MS Paint! Now I can show you guys my "glorious" trainer. Here's a screen shot cuz GUESS WHO KNOWS HOW TO DO SCREENSHOTS NOW.

Also the Trainer creator I used is this one: https://www.deviantart.com/jcling/art/Pokemon-Trainer-Creator-401165483

Hey, sorry, can you not triple post in future? it's just a pet peeve hahah. Can you edit your picture into your character profile?

The character is pretty decent, though I'm a bit ambivalent about the history section - from 6 months to 4 years seems like a long time, and I'm a bit confused by the logistics of it, for instance how good his social capabilities would be without 3 years of human interaction in his formatives years, and what impact being there had on him besides survival skills and wanting to know his parents. I feel like both of those can be achieved without being raised by Pokémon, so I'm just wondering how it can be justified, hahah.

Sorry bout the triple post, apparentaly you can't post links until you've reached 5 posts, I wanted to post the link to the game, and guess who only had 4 posts (yeah, you can tell I wasn't too active on Pokecommunity till now.). Also, about my sign up, I was a bit tired when I made it and wanted to get done with it as quickly as I can so I can do other stuff, like taking a well deserved nap..... or catching up on a Chrono Trigger LP.
I'll edit the post so that way it makes more sense and I'll do the picture to profile for thing......and then watch that dang Chrono Trigger LP.
Best of luck towards the RP!
