Totally. I'm the same way. The only Pokemon that I've used from Gen I on an actual team I think was Growlithe and Arcanine.

I don't like Unova very much for some reason. Mostly because the storyline was boring and the landscape was unoriginal. Either Hoenn or Sinnoh gets the top award for me, probably Sinnoh because the whole Lake Trio and Legendary Mascots tied together so well.

From a blog I've read regarding Trubbish, he's suppose to be the missing link of Poison types of the land, air (Koffing), and sea (Grimer), which means Trubbish's creation was long overdue.

May it has something to do with the supposed themes for each region that determines which animals, plants, and inanimate objects are needed for that region to fit the theme.

Garbodor and Muk are pretty much the same and if Garbodor was introduced in the first Gen i doubt it'd get so much hate.
