What if Victory Road consisted of rebattling the gym leaders to prove you deserve that badge in the first place? Just a thought. I doubt they're going to change it, but if they were gonna, I think that'd be pretty neat, and it'd be a good way to rack exp points, especially if they made them rebattle-able. ...That's a new word.

I wouldn't mind the BW style again, where the music builds up. That was probably my favorite VR entry. Not my favorite VR as a whole though, but yeah.

Still if that happened unexpectedly, a lot of trainers could possibly lose. I like the idea but maybe it could be someone like the gym leader's second in command or something rather than the exact gym leaders who are probably muuuch stronger by then.

Also I want something more like B/W's anyway ;)

I like the Victory Road, a place to level up just before the league.I'd like it to be like in B2W2: several paths that takes you to the end but a few paths that take you to a dead end.

I can see Victory Road can also have many traps too; I mean, they couuuld make it more dangerous, and leave it for only the most dedicated trainers.

I would totally love it if you could rebate the leaders at the Victory Road~ it would make a huge difference in leveling. But if that was so it would be like a second E4 huh? I still think it's a great idea and I hope it gets implemented.

GSC Victory Road was probably the worst one. I'm satisfied with anything that isn't like that one. I had to carry two HM slaves, which left me with only four Pokemon. That's not cool. So I hope they make a similar to the B2W2 one.

I like the idea about re-battling gym leaders (with stronger mons of course). You'll have to solve eight puzzles again (similar to the gym's theme) and then you get to battle the gym leaders (one after each puzzle of course). Fighting all eight of them in a row would be a bad thing though.

I've liked a lot of suggestions I've read along the thread:

The idea of Sydian of re-battle the gym leaders is awesome, in my opinion. It would be a good chance to level up your team and it would be a good point in the game's story where we should prove we deserve to challenge the Elite Four and the Champion.

Although Aerilyn's suggestion is not bad, I prefer the idea of Curious. 4 areas, each one representing the type of one of the Elite Four. But I would add some battle-able trainers with the same type.

What would be awesome would be some kind of fusion of Sydian's idea with Curious' idea. Four partes, each one representing the type of one of the Elite Four. Each part would have trainers which could only used pokemons with the type of the area. In the end, there would be a trainer stronger than the others but weaker than the E4 trainer, and we could only challenge E4 after defeating the 4 strongest trainers.

By traps I wonder what they could be. Maybe just... things you step on that makes something similar to MD's Monster Houses occur, or rocks suddenly dropping around you that you need to move out of your way. Daym that would be way awesome in 3D.

I also enjoy the "traps" idea. I could definitely go for a system where standing on certain spots triggered traps. Like, a stampede of Bidoofs that carried you back to the start of whatever section you're in, or whatever.

lmao Bidoof being that strong?? Idk I don't think it would be the weirdo annoying normal mon, maybe just whatever is the default rock mon of this generation, or Boldore if it returns with their great STRENGTH.

Well, my tongue was placed firmly in my cheek but I suppose Bidoof are just a tad too small for that. Really I'm just here for the traps being random/amusing! Bidoof stampede > cave roof collapsing.

I'd like to see one that would go through some sort of think similar to Pokemon Black and White 2's. However, I would like something like a Victory Island, a sort of labyrinth of an island, where you are searching for a sort of item that will let you into the Pokemon league championship. It could go something like this: You surf to the island, You make it through the tall-grass jungle and into a cave, you journey through the cave and come out through what appears to be the ancient ruins of a temple of Rayquaza (just listed a random legendary), then you can go around a sort of volcano where you can find the other fossil you didn't pick, you then arrive at a "camp" for trainers, where you can heal (there were doctors on the way though also) you meet the old champion there, who is leading trainers to the World League, he offers you to use his old area, which has a PC, and he will offer you some sort of item (like a Max Revive), you will then journey through a sort of jungle area, except there seems to be a sort of jungle tribe living there. They will battle you in Pokemon battles and stuff, and you finally find your way on the edge of a cliff, where the tribal leader offers to give you the item in exchange for the item, you beat him etc., etc. THE END! Happy ending! Now go get killed by the Elite Four!

The Victory Roads we've had up to this point have all been pretty blah-se to me.

Personally, I'd rather Victory Road be a picturesque area, something like a vibrant cape leading up to a magnificent castle (Obviously the E4 HQ). The cape would start at just above sea-level with you slowly rising to reach the castle that is perched precariously at the top betwixt two cascading waterfalls.

On the way up, you'd obviously battle a multitude of Cool Trainers/Ace Trainers with a plethora of Pokemon to truly test you rather than just to provide much needed Experience Points to push your Pokemon to a reasonable level. Obviously all the trainers can't have gimmicks to throw at you, but seeing some using things like the Protect + Earthquake combo, or Defense Curl + Roll-Out, or Skill Swap on Slaking would be fun.

Use of HMs would be minimal, if not, non-existent. You'd probably have to move a boulder or two, but other than that, you shouldn't have to Surf, Cut, Flash, or Waterfall up to the Elite 4.

That sounds pretty ;_; I think considering where the region seems to be set, something simplistic like waterfalls and an ocean like that would look really amazing (and actually POSSIBLE!) :)

Also I like the idea of people testing you on the way! Hopefully in a really creative way, too!

Hm... how about Victory Road in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y is more like an actual road more than anything? But still with all the special puzzles and stuff you'd need to do along the way, so like you'll get to push boulders around while moving up the mountain. And no, I don't mean the type of mountain from Black/White, this time with it all being outside instead of inside as it's name should fit as. And along the path there would be many tall grass in your path, and maybe when you get near the top... there would snow everywhere and it would be hailing. And walking in the snow alone would encounter Pokémon, which means you wouldn't need to go into tall grass. And at the end of Victory Road, there is a pond and a huge waterfall, which then leads into a big castle, which has every single Elite Four's room filled with spectators. Now that's something rather interesting.

That just makes me think of the mountain part of where Silver is found in HGSS which just... doesn't sound exciting. I'd rather it was pretty and calm rather than snowy and annoying to walk through. Plus a road to victory doesn't necessarily have to be up a mountain (at least most roads IRL aren't up a mountain XD;)

I kinda want something similar to how Red/Blue/Yellow/Green did the special gates. I know they were redone in B2W2, but what I mean is. As you enter, an official makes sure you have the appropriate badge. Once cleared you enter into a small puzzle room that isn't too taxing and has a few rarer Pokemon that is associated with that Gym Leader's type. So on until you pass all eight gates which then takes you into the League HQ.

Hm... I'm also thinking about moving through a road that is actually a construction site, similar to how Route 4 in Unova is like, but with many puzzles along the road and having to use strength alot and finding Pokémon in the sand or something like that.

Yeah, that would be another good concept for a road to the Pokémon League.

Nah unless it was foreshadowing a third game in the region that would be set after in which construction would be needing to occur, I'd rather it just be something nice and pristine rather than boring construction (suuuch a let-down in Unova!! I wanted to see beyond, damnit).
