Robin - Lvl 9
Floor 1: Horunka Village

Robin was just snoozing on his bed while going through some thoughts when some optimistic girl barges in, startling him. Just when he was about to check his equipment. Who was this woman anyway, barging into his room without consent? "W-what manner of business do you have with me?" he asks with a nervous voice, sitting up from his bed. Robin isn't one to enjoy talking to people, specifically women. This...girl just comes out of nowhere, & now Robin has to deal with whatever.

"...If you're just looking for a room, this one's occupied. L-leave now." Robin did not want to speak with this girl, let alone see her. He did his best to avoid eye contact, looking elsewhere to avoid her gaze. Why must this happen to me.

"I'm sick of it..." The boy walked back and fort in a cafe in Tolbana town, constandly repeating the same words. "I'm just sick of it!" He said again. "We should do something about this matter! It can't be like this any longer!" He shouted through the cafe and attracted the attention of a few players who were peacefully enjoying their drinks. Finally he had said something different.

"Excuse me, but what is it that you're sick of?" An annoyed player decided to ask. She had followed his whole mumbling speech about being sick of something but the guy never said what was bothering him. "The beaters! I'm sick of those selfish beaters!" He shouted and faced the annoyed female player. "We have been trapped inside this devilish game for a month already and we are still on the first floor!" Every player inside the cafe was watching him as he talked. "And the beaters still claim that they have no idea where the teleport is!" The guy faced every player around him, some looked annoyed but others seemed rather interested.

"What do you want to do about it? It's not like they'll tell us if they are beaters or not, I bet they won't even give us any other information." another player replied on the guy's speech. "I'll tell you what i'm going to do about it!" The angry guy opened his menu and started typing a message.

The guys send his message to every player on the first floor and it didn't take long before the inbox's of many players started to beep. "I see... well, I wonder what you'll have to say to us." The boy from earlier stood up and left the cafe, followed by a few others.

Invitation to Speech

A message box suddenly appeared in front of dotcom. It read "From: Saito." dotcom started at the message for a moment. Who the hell is Saito? dotcom opened the message. It was an invitation to a speech in the ruins near the other town. Horunka Town. dotcom remembered the ruins, although just barely. There is nothing much inside there, except a few weak monsters not worth his time. "I guess I need to go here. It's says all players and beaters." dotcom closed the window, and looked at the group. None have yet to open their messages, but he is quite sure that they got it too. "Well, I guess, I will be going now. Goodbye," he said to himself. He took out his teleport crystal and chose Horunka Town as his destination.

----

There was quite a crowd of people gathered in Horunka Town, most of them heading towards the ruins. dotcom decided to proceed to an NPC merchant first, and start selling his things. Maybe the event was regarding the teleport, and it was already found. Either way, he decided to clear up some space in his inventory already. It's becoming packed.

"I would like to sell my things," dotcom said as he opened up a trade window. The merchant was a man of about fifty plus, with a scruff of beard growing. A white cloth is tied on his head. dotcom started dragging all his loots and useless things towards the window. His total sales amounted to 1000 col. Yup, it's a good price. He ended the transaction and closed the window. There were a throng of people moving towards the town. dotcom took a good look at them. Most were males, probably 18 upwards, though there are boys of about sixteen below. The game had imposed an age limit, but who follows it anyway? There were also several females in the group, and some looked more hardy than the males. dotcom decided to blend in with the crowd and move towards the ruins.

Lucina
Player
Floor 1: Dungeons.

The little girl, Princess, explained that her older brother had died due to their parents pulling of the NerveGear from his head. Lucina felt bad for her and wondered if their parents would've done the same if the e-mail hadn't arrived on time. Suddenly they were accompanied by a guy who holded his dagger by the little girl's throat. He accused her of being a beater and wanted a battle with her. Lucina's older sister instincts were activated and she pushed the boy away from Princess as soon as another male player told him to leave her alone. "Are you out of your mind? You should feel ashamed for threatening a girl way younger than you." Lucina said, putting up her manly voice again which had gotten better over the month.

"She can't be a beater anyway, she's just level 11." Lucina stood forward Princess to protect her, just like she had done with Jade a few years ago. "If she was really a beater then she would've been level 14 or 15." Lucina said to the older boy in front of her, he didn't seem much younger though. Suddenly Lucina's inbox started to beep. She opened her inbox to find a message from someone called "Saito".

"Hmm… seems like I have to get going." Lucina said as she closed her menu. "I will escort you, Princess." Lucina waited for Princess to follow her and glanced at the older boy. "Please get your facts right next time, we should help each other to win this game not attempt to kill each other." Lucina looked away from him. The fact that she acted like a guy didn't mean that she looked like one so she wanted to prevent him from getting a view from her face.

"Tch..." Godot said to himself as he turned to the black-haired interloper. Not long after, the person that was with Princess interjected as well, and then, after receiving a PM, started to walk away with the weeping PC. "Hey, hey, HEY! I'm not done here, dammit!" Godot dashed in front of Lucina and tried to block her path. "I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't think it was necessary. What if she gets PKed, huh? The fact that this 'Beater' thing is a legitimate term, while being hilarious, is also utterly ridiculous. But as the saying goes, people are stupid. There are people out there who will gang on her and try to kill her. Kill her. I'd rather she not have to face that type of fear, no one deserves that." Godot put his weapon behind his neck and grabbed the other end with his other hand. "You realize how dangerous going to a place that crowded would be, right? Filled with people who have animosity for her? Assassination is almost a sure thing. In battle, that sort of fear doesn't exist. There is a mutual respect among the battlers during this time, each one entrusting the other with their life."

Godot walked a short distance away from Maria. "If I truly wanted to PK for the mere purpose of, say, theft or satisfaction, why would I do so in the presence of you?" He stood his ground and pointed his polearm at Princess. "I'm not about to let her die a horrible death just because someone thought that it would be better to live with this shame and fear and to die with it as well! Now, unless Princess here wants to live out her life as a beater, I'll help to remove that title." He gave Lucina a stern look. "Unless either of you are willing to protect her from the world. She's too young to have to bear these kinds of feelings, especially with her feelings already being as crushed as they are."

Godot opened his menu.

[Send Friend Request] -> Lucina, Princess

"Accept it. As I said, in battle each battler entrusts the other with their life. When you have an answer for me, you'll know where to find me." He put away his weapon and headed in another direction, scratching his head. "Welp, I'll see ya later," he said as he waved.

Maria Renée {Princess}
Level: 12

Maria was waiting for Lucina to respond to what she said when suddenly she heard a voice. "Well then why don't you put up or shut up? If you're truly a beta tester, then you'll be able to kill me. If not, the opposite is true." she felt a sword go close to her neck and her eyes widened. "Honestly, I don't believe in this 'die in the game, die in real life' bullcrap that Kayaba's asserting, but death in here is still a pretty high stake. After all, a life is never a small ante." she clenched her hands into fists as the sword was taken away but she wouldn't relax yet. "And don't worry, I'll be sure to let people know of your death. If you're as well known as you say then I'm sure your name will be cleared."

Another player yelled something out, but in her fear she couldn't understand what was said. Though before she could try to do something Lucina pushed the older boy away scolding him "Are you out of your mind? You should feel ashamed for threatening a girl way younger than you." Turning to look at the other boy Maria wiped her eyes as Lucina moved to be between them, and defended her. Though suddenly Maria heard her inbox start to beep and opened it, keeping an eye on the two players in front of her.

Lucina offered to escort her and maria made to follow though the older boy who had wanted to kill her it seemed blocked Lucina's path, talked about how dangerous it was and how others would try to kill her as well. That is not helping, I'm already terrified. before he sent them both a friend request and walked in the other direction. "I'm not a beater anyway!" she yelled after him sighing. "my brother knew everything about this floor. Except were the teleport is" she sighed again growing more scared as the words the other player Godot had said, that others would gang up on her and try to kill her. "Ils ... ne vais pas essayer de me tuer ... vont-ils?" she murmered in fear looking at Lucina with scared eyes not even realizing she was speaking french.

(Translation: They...won't try to kill me...will they?)

Tolbana Inn > Horunka Ruins

Chapter One: Part Four
Shiren the... Adorable!?

To: Everyone on the 1st floor
From: Saito

With this message I want to let everyone know that there will be a speech in the old ruins near Horunka Village. I'd like everyone to attend it... Players and beaters.

"Eh...?" Shiren looked at the message in confusion. She glanced around the tavern, and had noticed that every other player had received the same message. "Okay then..." She sighed. She wasn't a beater! She knew what to do, but that didn't make her a beater... Did it? It seemed she would be welcomed at the meeting, though, so she re-equipped herself, and departed Tolbana.

Shiren growled at the distant Horunka village. Even with her high-leveled Sprint skill, it was taking too long! "Maybe with my dash-type sword art... Maybe just exploit it a little bit..." She unsheathed the katana at her back, holding it in one hand as she reached it back behind her. It began to glow bright blue, and as she leapt high into the air, she swung her katana forward, sending her shooting back towards the ground, covering ground much faster than she did by sprinting. She continued this in repetition, sprinting, jumping, and dash-attacking in a cycle.

Approaching the ruins, she shouted, "Heyyyyyyy! Are you Saito!? I got your message!" It was then that her extensive 'exercise' had caught up to her, and she began panting. When she looked around, it seemed she was one of the first players to make it here.

Yuri watched Godot walk away.Good riddance, he thought. I was worried I would have to fight him. Looking at his menu, he saw he had a PM. After reading it, he realized that the girl and her cloaked guardian were walking away. He followed after them. "Hey!" he said. "Do you guys mind if I come with you to the meeting?" He caught up with the pair, grinning at the smaller figure. "I promise I won't be a burden. I may even help out in a fight."

I wonder where those guys are going... Godot thought to himself. Maybe I was a bit too evil there...I don't even think they understand why I stepped in... He sighed. It was around this point that he noticed that he too had a PM. It was from someone named Saito. Then, instinctively without reading it, Godot hit [Delete]. It was an accident, something he'd picked up from real life. At first, he didn't think anything of it, but it wasn't until he remembered that the others also received a PM around this time that it just might be important. However, he couldn't see it as being so important that his life would depend on it.

He stopped and looked backwards. The others were still in view distance. Now, he could have played the stealth route and trailed them without their knowing, but he thought that just joining them would be easier. After all, he never really liked misunderstandings.

Godot turned around and sprinted towards the others until he was right next to Yuri, and then he put his hands in his pockets and said, "So...where are we headed?"

"So... where are we headed?"Godot asked, having drawn up level with Yuri, his hands in his pockets.

Yuri turned. "Horunka Village. There's some kind of mass meeting going on there. But I'm assuming you got that message yourself. You can come with if my companions here are fine with that. You do seem pretty strong, so long as you keep your weapon away from Princess. I don't really appreciate it when people try to dominate those weaker then themselves."

Rikuto Yuuto Sato / Ryuusa
Town of Beginnings: Marketplace => Ruins

Rikuto continued working the shop until a strange message arrived. It was from some person named Saito and it was addressed to everyone on the first floor. His first thought was You can do that?, but after he read it, he noticed that it was calling for a gathering, specifying that the invitation applied to players... and beaters. Rikuto had only heard of beaters but had never seen any before, as far as he knew, anyway. He couldn't really remember much of anything from the days when he stumbled around in a state of simulated drunkenness, wasting his col on digital drinks and hating the game and everything in it, and he imagined that by the time he got his act back together a beater wouldn't have had any use for his early wares. Only recently had he started to get good enough to make gear that a player past level 10 would consider using, yet none of it even comparing to super rare drops or some quest rewards. On the matter of this message, what interested him about the specific invitation of beaters probably meant this Saito thought it was something big, especially if he was asking every one of them on the floor. Something big...big...the teleporter! Maybe this Saito has found it, and needs everyone there to defeat the boss. In that case, there was no way Rikuto could ignore it, something that could bring him closer to beating the game. Even if it wasn't about that, it still seemed important.

Rikuto noticed a couple of things as he closed the message. First was the sight of Kouki running towards him, and second was the fact that while many began to leave the Town of Beginnings, presumably to attend Saito's speech, just as many if not more stayed. They probably thought this was suspicious, scary, or they just plain didn't care. Kouki rushed up to Rikuto and said, "Boss, everyone's gonna be at the ruins soon. We could use this as an opportunity to make some sales." Despite his carefree, casual nature, Kouki was a smart boy. There was a reason that Rikuto had hired him in his position after all. Rikuto had been too absorbed in thinking about how this could help him finish the game to see how it could help him make money.

"Great idea, Kou," praised Rikuto. "I wouldn't say everyone, though." He gestured to the many players that remained in the marketplace, going about their business as if Saito and his message had never existed. Kouki frowned, seeing where this was going. "That's why you should stay here managing the store while I take some of the selection to the ruins." Rikuto accessed his menu and removed a portion of the shop's inventory, placing it into his own.

"I knew that was coming, but come on! He called for all players on the floor, right? I should hear this too!"

Rikuto Sighed at Kouki's complaints. "I know, but I'm a higher level than you and will be better able to take care of the goods in a non-safe zone. Besides, I'll send you a complete transcript of the speech, word for word. I promise."

Kouki realized that by selling at the ruins, Rikuto risked putting himself in danger of robbers. He hung his head down a moment before speaking again. "Okay, it's a deal. But take Xenith or SilverMist with you, both if possible. You need as much protection as you can get." Rikuto nodded in agreement. "And besides, having two beautiful ladies next to you is sure to boost your sales!" Rikuto laughed at that then set off to the ruins.
_________________________

The ruins were packed with players who had come to hear what this mysterious Saito had to say. Once he arrived, Rikuto searched for a relatively empty spot and set out a cloth, setting his goods on top. He had made sure to bring some of his best merchandise to show the quality of his goods to those who hadn't seen his store and so that beaters would hopefully show some interest in his store. He'd laid out some of his most recently forged weapons and armor as well as some of Xenith's new potions. At present, the dark-skinned alchemist sat next to him, in the middle of concocting another bottled wonder. When she found him, she told him that SilverMist would be coming a little late. "She claimed she was on the verge of creating something truly amazing, although I still think she could continue working on whatever it is here."

SilverMist was quite shy, but she was just as skilled in her work. It was difficult recruiting her, but the chance to make her work known without her needing to be known as well was apparently too good to pass up. Xenith was a different story. Xenith had no real problem dealing with people, only it seemed that the people had problems dealing with her. She isn't what Rikuto would call the most considerate of people, but she does care about their safety. He managed to lure her in with the promise of resources and money so that she could continue to work on her potions as much as she wants without worry. Rikuto felt that the best comparison would be to a dedicated yet cold doctor who cares about little else besides their patients.

After a little while, the two were approached by a figure with loose fitting robes and a veil that covered her entire face. Rikuto spoke to her. "Ah, SilverMist. Are you going to tell me about this truly amazing thing?"

The figure stopped for a moment before hurrying and sitting next to Xenith. "Y-yes, of course." SilverMist opened her menu and accessed the inventory, pulling out a cape. "With all the money I've earned I was able to get what I needed to create this, what I call the Luna Cape!" She held up the cape, clearly proud of herself, but when she noticed she was starting to attract attention to herself she lowered her head and continued more softly, almost whispering. "T-this cape makes your equipment feel much lighter and less encumbering. I-I couldn't make the effect very strong with what's available on floor one, b-but it's still a good effect anyway." She gave the new cape to Rikuto and he added it to the store.

"Good job, SilverMist. This will surely attract some attention, especially that of heavy tanks that could use some mobility or already agile characters that would appreciate the extra boost." Rikuto wished he could see what sorts of emotions appeared on SilverMist's hidden face, but this really was a good item. Okay beaters and high-level players, Ryuusa's Quality Goods is officially open!

"I already told you, I don't want to hurt her," Godot said, "Not unless she asks me to. I'm not some PK that goes around killing people to feel good." He looked at Princess. "She's so worried about what people will think of her because of her brother, and I'm willing to end that at any moment. There are no hard feelings...at least, not on my side. My point is, I'd rather her not have to live in fear. Fear is worse than death." He turned back to Eclipse. "Until she's able to bear this sort of pain by herself, as well as the anger and hate of others, my offer's always open. Having said that, it probably won't be a problem on the later floors, once players have gotten accustomed to the game. By that point, whether one is a beta tester or a regular player will be irrelevant."

Godot thought for a moment. "Y'know, you could always try being her big brother and guardian. You've already got the attitude down." It was around this point that he remembered that he hadn't sent Eclipse a friend request, and he promptly did so. He thought to himself, Do I really have to go? I mean, now that I think about it, I could just ask these guys about it later. He considered just leaving, but then he took into consideration that they might not message him back, in which case he would be SOL.

"Guh...this is gonna be a long day..."

Titan, Level 15 - Tolabana Town/Horunka Village, Aincrad

The ice in the bottom of his glass chinked together as Titan replace it back on the bar; now empty of it's liquid contents. It had been refreshing after the morning spent grinding against whatever flora and fauna he could find that would give him experience. As he ordered a burger off the menu, he heard the familiar ring of mail echo throughout the Tavern as the whole place was immediately engulfed in silence. Pulling up the main menu, Titan found the message that he presumed everyone had received simultaneously.

To: Everyone on the 1st floor
From: Saito

With this message I want to let everyone know that there will be a speech in the old ruins near Horunka Village. I'd like everyone to attend it... Players and beaters.

Before anyone else could react, the small girl child whom had parked herself on a bar stool two stools down jumped off her seat and raced out the door before disappearing into the distance. 'Wow, she's eager,' he thought to himself before turning back to the message at hand. It would take him a couple of hours to make the trip over to Horunka Village, provided creatures didn't disturb him. Although with the spawn rates at the moment, even a level one newbie could make the trip without seeing or aggravating any monsters set to spawn between the two places.

Offering his meal to a kind around the age of fourteen sitting beside him, Titan got off his stool, equipping his heavy armour before heading out the door. He was surprised to see players of differing levels and ages making their way towards Horunka Village, while others tried to keep out of the way. Obviously something big was going down at the ruins, and if anything, Titan felt it as his duty to be there, especially with so many weak looking players heading that way.

"I heard they found the Boss Dungeon," One of the players excitedly told his friends.

"Nah, don't be silly, it's a Beater hunt," One of his comrades' responded.

"This guy I did a quest with just told me not to go, that it's a bunch of PK'ers."

He listened onto the hundreds of different scenarios people began coming up with, some even ridiculous like they knew a glitch that would get them out of the game. To Titan at least, if Kayaba went to all the trouble of doing this in the first place, he highly doubted that he would leave room for glitches to undermine his entire operation. The game was flaw less and almost perfect, it was a prison death-game and the only true ways to escape was to beat the game, or die trying. The later Titan was willing to accept if it ever came to it, but each day was a new day, and each day he woke up assuming that it would be his last.

Horunka Village Ruins weren't big enough to support the amount of players that had convened around the pillars and crumbling walls with players climbing up pillars, trees and sitting almost any surface that would support their weight. People whispered to one another as Titan pushed his hulking, digital body through the mass of bodies to a place where he could hear and see what was going on at the epicentre. He noticed several high ranking guilds present, as well as several players setting up temporary shops to sell goods, no doubt at exorbitant prices given the amount of players all in one location. One thing he did notice, was the presence of PK'ers around the gathering's edges, no doubt waiting for a moment, if there ever was going to be, to strike hard and fast. A meeting like this was like feast, all the individual players and their items gathered together in one place.

The message woke the napping Beater up (how long had she been asleep for? This was not like her!) though the noises of excited players kept her up. A message? From who? About what? A quick read of it and Philippa had already made her mind up on what she was going to do next.

Philippa made her way out with the rest of the players from the inn. Of course, she wouldn't miss a mass message like this for anything, even if it was a hoax. Any chance to gain collectibles, rare items or perhaps a chance to move on to the next floor (since Philippa had done enough dungeon grinding and scouring to make anyone go insane) was something worth taking. Even if there was a PK round up, they would gain nothing from rounding up what players were left and killing them. As "cunning" PKers were, they were far too cowardly to actually ascend the dungeons themselves, and thus would be stuck in this game forever. Plus, they would need a lot of PKers to take on everybody.

The road wasn't a long or dangerous one, due to the lack of mobs and the distance between Horunka and Tolbana. It probably took her an hour or so, if that, to reach the slowly crowding ruins. Philippa squeezed through the people until she was satisfied she was close enough to the front to either a) hear clearly what this Saito person had to say or b) kick his ass so hard if he was indeed a PKer.

Lucina
Player level 14
Floor 1: Dungeons -> Horunka Village

Lucina listened to Godot's speech about not wanting to kill Princess but helping her get rid of that awful name "beater". Lucina had been accused of being a beater many times already so she kinda knew what Princess could've been through. The people who accused her of being a beater will probably be at the ruins as well. Godot left while telling Princess that there could be PK'er guild targetting her because she was so young. Princess faced Lucina and suddenly talked French, yes... French. This was not a problem for Lucina though, since in The Netherlands they had to learn French in order to graduate from high school. "Ne vous inquiétez pas, ils ne vont pas vous tuer." Lucina said to the little girl. Lucina thought it might be better to show her real gender but thought that the girl might feel less safe around her.

Lucina accepted Godot's friendship request and chuckled. "Don't worry about Godot, it's probably his way of saying "Hey, let's be friends." ... He'll follow us in awhile, wait and see." Lucina smiled at the little girl even though she wouldn't be able to see her face because of the hood. "Let's go." Lucina started walking. The other male player from before asked Princess and Lucina if they mind if he came along. "Nope~ Atleast I don't mind." Lucina said a little chuckling, it was hard to keep her manly voice like this but she was still able to do so somehow.

Godot joined after awhile too, asking where they were heading. Lucina grinned but was too late charing their destination because the male player, Eclipse, was faster. A discussion started between Godot and Eclipse about Princess. "Guys, guys... stop it, let's be nice to each other for once." Lucina chuckled. "We're heading to the ruins near Horunka Village, Godot." Lucina said even though Eclipse already told him. "The ruins is a safety zone as far that I know, so I don't see why a PK'er guild would try to get us there." Lucina commented to ease Princess a little. "If it turns out to be a trick after all, I'm sure we can defeat the PK'ers since I suppose every player and beater is heading there now." Lucina said.

KAT | Level 8
Martillo de Regal Lv.1

FLOOR 1; The inn in Horunka Village

"...If you're just looking for a room, this one's occupied. L-leave now." Katherine couldn't help but wonder why this dude was behaving so oddly. Was it her breath? It must he her breath. Curse you, virtual world that lacks mints!

"Well. It is occupied, that much is for sure," she then laughed, unlike Robin she was actually having a great time away from Boars, "You're actually the first person who hasn't tried to slice me in half upon meeting!" She enthusiastically adds upon noticing his sword, "I should probably leave now, so---"

You Have a New Message!

Not this thing again. She hates it so much. It's always filled with SPAM and whatnot... Ugh... Might as well try and see if there's something different this time around...

Armor! You want it!
Free puppies!
Click on the dancing kitten!
???

Let's see... Advertising on weapons... free puppies (the puppies are a lie!), oh, that kitten does seem intriguing! But what's this, a message with no apparent subject? What kind of sorcery is this? Fascinated, she decides to open it, with a box displaying showing the following message:

To: Everyone on the 1st floor
From: Saito
With this message I want to let everyone know that there will be a speech in the old ruins near Horunka Village. I'd like everyone to attend it... Players and beaters.

Horunka village? That's where she is! Although... It is somewhat unusual to summon all players at one point. Could lead to disaster if not handled appropriately. Might as well go.

"I'm sorry for your beauty sleep, Ruffles," she eventually proceeds after staring blackly at a wall for quite sometime (which is to say, the time in which she was checking her inbox), "It seems Mr. Text Message requires our presence at some ruins..." She finally concludes, while gently swinging her hammer from side to side, heading towards the exit with a steady pace.

Yuri Irving-Eclipse ll Floor 1-Dungeons

"Guys, guys... stop it, let's be nice to each other for once." the hooded figure chuckled. "We're heading to the ruins near Horunka Village, Godot. The ruins is a safety zone as far that I know, so I don't see why a PK'er guild would try to get us there. If it turns out to be a trick after all, I'm sure we can defeat the PK'ers since I suppose every player and beater is heading there now."

Yuri turned. "Fine." He glanced at the friend request. "I guess I might as well," he said, accepting. He glanced at the hooded figure, seeing their user name. "Lucina... not exactly a very masculine name, but eh, who am I to judge?" He sent Lucina and Princess a friend request. "Well, I think we should get going, as fast as we can. We don't want to miss this, do we?"

Maria Renée {Princess}
Level: 12

Maria relaxed slightly as Lucina responded back to her in French. That made her feel a lot better. She knew she could speak in French without realizing it, just like she knew a majority of the players were from either the United States or Japan. As the other player accepted Godot's friend request Maria nodded and accepted it as well. Though she was still nervous about him. Soon enough though the other male who had been near them joined them and Maria smiled slightly at Eclipse as he told Godot to keep his weapon away from her.

"I already had a big brother...and it's for him that I'm going to get through this" she spoke softly, timidly as she accepted Eclipse's friend request as well before glancing at Godot again then looking back at Lucina. "do any of you guys have a teleport crystal? I'm not sure if they can transport more than one player though. I've never tried that with mine. But if we all have one we would get to Horunka Village much faster"

Titan, Level 15 - Horunka Village Ruins, Aincrad

Titan waited patiently among the ever growing crowd of users that continued to pool into the already overflowing Horunka Ruins. All around him people shuffled uncomfortably, many bumping into him and apologising once the realised his size and weight. From behind he felt another push, this time the person was far from concerned about disrupting the hulking mass of a man, but rather pushing themselves, herself further to the front of the crowd. Glancing up, he caught a brief glimpse of her user name, being taken aback in surprise. He should have realised before that of course another beater would be in this crowd, he should have been even less surprised that she was here.

"Pepperton!" He called out, tapping the female player on the shoulder before she could disappear from within his arm length.

A couple of weeks ago, the two of them had partied up during a group quest aptly named "Rescue is Coming", in which the six-man quest party had to travel to a bandit fort to rescue one's of the nearby townspeople's daughter. While the two of them could have easily handled the matter individually, the quest required at least 5 players to join the group in order to continue on the quest. The two hadn't parted on the best of ways, trying not to let the rest of the group keep him behind, Titan stormed forward, aggro-ing large groups of monsters before the rest of the DPS could get themselves together. Pepperton had been the one to do most of the damage while Titan took a large amount of damage from the mobs. His recklessness in the matter seemed to annoy her, especially when he almost fell at the hands of the final boss, Pepperton having to take the man down before Titan disappeared forever.

Now, as he stood in the crowd waiting for the meeting to commence, he thought he would catch up with her, after all, the both of them had only just hit double digits back then. And perhaps, she would be less hostile towards him, after all it was all in the past. Perhaps if the rumours were right and this Saito fella had found the boss' dungeon, then they could group together again, although due to his Tank play style, he would most likely be grouped with the other tanks that stood scattered around, few and far betwee.

Robin - Lvl 9
Floor 1: Horunka Village (Inn)

This girl was weird, that much is for sure. "If you know that, leave now then," Robin instructs further, eager for this trespasser to leave his room...now. She's laughing for whatever reason, just ticking Robin off. If she has any business with Robin, she should introduce it then. That didn't seem the case. Either she was lost or quite dimwitted, in Robin's case. Just now, a message icon appears before him. This is the first he's ever gotten a message in Aincrad ever. Could someone have figured out who Denny-no, Robin-is? Only one way to find out.

To: Everyone on the 1st floor
From: Saito

With this message I want to let everyone know that there will be a speech in the old ruins near Horunka Village. I'd like everyone to attend it... Players and beaters.

That sums it up. Robin was relieved he hasn't been the public story, but what's message about? This Saito must have some grudge against beaters like Robin, or he could be some PKer. One cannot know for sure. The ruins were near Horunka Village. Was that just mere coincidence?

The girl who calls Robin Ruffles has gotten the message as well. "What you call beauty sleep, I call rest for more training... Why am I clarifying myself to a stranger?" Robin shrugs & walks out the room with his sword put away. He wasn't following... Dare he see what her name is? He wasn't following Kat, they were just headed to the same destination. He did take notice of her hammer. If she was a good fighter, she would hold out well against a few monsters. ...Enough idle thoughts! Whoever this Saito is, he seems persistent about this speech. It's better to hide that Robin is a beater, lest he cause an outbreak.
