If I was ever in a pinch, I'd just sell a kidney. 262,000 in US dollars. Not bad. I could throw in my scalp for 600, maybe a liver for 157,000. I'd have to live cautiously but fuck it, that's good money. Who needs two kidneys anyway? It's excessive! Flog 'em, that's what I say.

... anyway, what if a prospective mate found out about my drawings, but didn't know they were commissions done out of desperation? What if they just thought I was some kind of sicko? Worst yet, what if they liked them and decided to dress up as a dog person?!

There are many things I can think of that come under the "selling my soul" category but that is not one of them. I'd do it.

To be honest even if I didn't lose my job or my nest egg and the opportunity came my way, depending on how profitable it would be, and providing I had the talent, I'd do it anyway.

I mean, technically furry art doesn't have to be porn but... well I've been on DeviantArt so I guess it's a moot point.

But really. It's a market that's already there (it was there before you were born, most likely) and while you have to create explicit furry art, at least you get to choose your subjects, even in the case of commissions since you are the one who's taking them. So you're forefront for "containing the damage" if you so want.

Worst case scenario if you feel too bad about it, start drawing explicit furry art of your shadowy stakeholders. If they don't like it, they're free to commision you into *not* drawing them more for a good price, and if they do, well, more money for you and even stronger captive target so you can slowly stop creating art of most anyone else. It's a win-win-win or a win-wine-tie at worst.

But really, what's to lose here? We're entering the decade of furry. Cash in now that's something more open, and you can retire before anything too bad or too good happens.

If I were artistically gifted, the commissions would not stop at the Furry community. I need money, y'all.

I'd also look into sewing/costume making. People pay thousands and thousands of dollars for those suits! My boyfriend wouldn't care - he'd be right there with me helping me create additional materials to get more money.

I mean arguably I guess drawing weird fetishes would help me master anatomy better for non-fetish drawings so sure why not.
