Progress: I'm gonna keep posting up the Mutation portraits, since hey, it's nice showing off some visual stuff for once.
I've been fixing their images in the Menu. And I'm trying to set up some stuff for a Vermilion takeover, similar to the Saffron one you did with Idris. I don't know if I have the tiles for it, but doing some kind of S.S. Anne attack shouldn't be too hard, right?
Huh, lag spikes are pretty weird. But I'm glad they stopped once you finished the quest! That quest doesn't do anything intensive with switches or variables or parallel processes, so I'm not sure what could be causing that.
You should just be able to carry your Pokemon with you, but if you want to drop one off at the Daycare to keep your party smaller, he's on the 3rd level of the Rocket Base.

if dragonite and charizard had a baby........lmao that syther looks great too... ss anne...you should make a mini dungon for underneath the hidden truck next to the ss anne LOL. yeah have ss anne carrying someone or something available and get it. i wonder what that mewtwo is doing in that cave..the suspence LOL

Sorry, I should've been more clear there. I'm weirdly not getting an error message at all when the game crashes, just an "RPGmakerVX is not responding" popup.
It's also the first battle after you join team rocket, the child with the caterpie hanging out in the alley, not the first battle in the game on nugget bridge

Progress: Working on the SS.Anne event, putting in all of the different trainers.
Other than that, I've been noticing a lot of lag in general in the game, especially inside of houses. I'm not sure how to track down what's causing it, since I haven't added new scripts in lately, and it doesn't look like it's an event either.
The game might just be getting too big to function smoothly at all times, but I'm not sure why that would happen more noticeably on a smaller map.
I'll see what I can find out, since this may be the reason for other errors and crashes people have been getting.

I currently have a bug with the Saffron take over. I completed all the quests for my fellow rockets but, when I try to finish the whole thing by defeating the fan club trainers I keep getting the message "This would be a great spot for a base... Maybe later I'll be strong enough to take this place over" then I leave. I tried to talk to Idris to see if I could do the Saffron take over quest again but he just asks why i'm not at Saffron. Just to be clear, I already did the powerplant with Maxx and I'm trying to continue the story by taking over the fan-club but it won't let me. Now I'm stuck in the game cuz I can't move forward with the story. Please help.

I figured out that the crash was a result of me pressing enter too quickly as a battle was starting, something about that crashes my game pretty often but it's an easy fix to just not spam enter as battles start.
I'm having some frustrating issues with the Celadon Cave area, though, just because the golbats can confusion spam and then easily kill my pokemon by both attacking the same one, while the self destruct attack from the electrode can OHKO all my pokemon with no way to stop it if it decides to self destruct on the first, free turn it gets before I can attack. I keep wiping out after a few battles just because on of those two things happen eventually, and since it's a wild encounter I get a game over instead of being sent back to the entrance

that's because your not grinding, go face all the npc's go kill more pokemons to get more exp....there is a grinding curve in this game....the whiners already ruined the officer jenny event by forcing saltroad to make them do tail whip the whole time.... get your skills up, chancy can learn revive... grind grind grind

Hmm, I think what's happened here is that the event will only work if you have EXACTLY six Rocket points. You may have ended up with one extra, and so now the event isn't working.
I'll give it some more flexibility and it'll be fixed by next patch.
I'm glad you figured out the crashing part!
Cerulean Cave is very tough. It's such a high level area in the original games. One thing you can do is save as you go through it, so that you don't lose progress when you die to That One Encounter.
If your Chansey gets Revive that can also help a lot for enemies like Electrode, but Revive takes awhile to get since you have use Softboiled and then Refresh a lot.
There is a bit of a curve here, if you just do Main Plot stuff you'll probably end up overwhelmed pretty quickly. I wouldn't call them whiners for wanting a non frustrating game though. The Officer Jenny boss wasn't very fun for new, non masochistic players, and there isn't much side content to level up before her.
For later boss battles though I'm perfectly fine having them be that mean.

Just finished the new update. So far I'm really enjoying the game, but I was wondering how much of the main story is done?

I agree in the anime Jessie and James are always putting on new disguises. It would be so cool to be able to do that in game. Wouldn't be impossible but it seems to be some pretty advanced skill level editing.

Most of it, at this point. The Idris Cave event is done on my end, and after that is the Pokemon League, which I've started a bit of, and is a very big, end game event.

And that would be the end of the game! So it's very, very close.
Disguises are awesome! But they would be so, so hard to put in when the Player can go anywhere they want. There are two or three points in the game where you can do the Trainer look again, but they're all very "closed off" areas.
It would be really cool to switch between Trainer Look, Rocket Outfit, and like, Ridiculous Janitor Disguise or something throughout the game, but it would involve some serious variable conditional branches and multiple dialogue and event options for like... every person you ever talk to.

So, I'm getting game crashing errors by just entering into battles. At least once every 3 fights. That's kind of annoying. Is the download link on the front page fully updated?

hey, just a dumb thought, could you create some kind story or angle with mt silver, like why does it have powerful pokemn, whats up there? mt silver is in kanto afterall lol, maybe consider it next year or two years from now. anyways, thanks for being active its cool to get teasers on here before the release date
also a plus 1 when we beat the game, so we can get all the pokemon prizes keep our monster level etc etc beat all three ways that you posted somewhere here and get a special 4th ending after beating the game three times LOL
oh triple tirade maybe?, the pokemon card game that most other rxpg pokemon fan games do, I just enjoy it.

Um, why is Psychic weaker than Psybeam? That is kinda something to fix. Also, I just attempted to go back to pewter city and it locks me back into the Redra quest, she isn't there but it auto paths me. Also, mt moon is broken. I am about to lose LOTS of progress because I'm frozen.
Edit: Can't enter viridian forest as well, the first 2 beedrill freeze the game every encounter. Can't even start the battle. I need the coin case so I am progress locked.
Edit 2: All this is resolved after the story progressed.
Edit 3: My Pikachu turned into Hitmonlee so I have both dojo pokemon. But my Pikachu is gone, daycare glitch. All the text is glitched and it keeps taking and returning koffing

I was able to run by the bedrills with a couple of tries but yeah the give you the sting glitch for sure

Mt Silver? Technically it's in Johto, so it's a little outside of this game. It does have super strong Pokemon, but I don't think I'll get into Johto stuff at all in RR.
I definitely want to do a New Game+. I'm not sure if it's possible, but there are some scripts around and I'll try and tackle it once the Main Plot is done.

For the Beedrill... I think I'll go in and change that whole Viridian event. It's a little glitchier than I'd like. The Beedrill will act more like Trainers with sight lines, but it should be more stable in future.
