[Showcase] A Sunfishy Gallery

Oh my, nice to see you're still here Ragnia! Its been fairly long since we last met :')
And thanks themangoartist! Jokai has always been one of my favorites!

Updated with some more sprites:

Scholue and Dufessor, Psychic types based on "growing up".
Scholune is child-like, envoked with daydreams and whimsy, while Dufessor is the result of growing up, and ditches its fantasy with a much more mature mind.

7 new fakemon!!!!


I did Fanshee a while back, but am now adding it's evolution, "Reveram"
Based on sheep, demons, and sheep demons.


Frounder, Sunfoon, and Moonsoon!
Pure water type pokemon based on the Ocean Sunfish.
Frounder is a sad little fish, based on the water gobi and flounder. It also has some design reminiscent of the Sunfish Fry.
Sunfoon is a combination of Sunfish and Moon. The back tail fins are easily bendable to be used as brakes.
Moonsoon is a combination of Moon and Monsoon, or the rainy season. The idea is that it is much more larger, making it usable as a vehicle for water transportation. Also based on a spaceship.


Phillow, Dollost, and Haunton!
Phillow is a Phantom Pillow, with a potato sack look. The story is that it is a lost soul, which came to be when its life ended in betrayal.
Dollost upgrades the potato sack body with a broken teddy bear doll. The better material allows it to withstand and deal more hits.
Haunton is a chimaera of sorts. One last upgrade to its body was to stitch together other dolls, using a shark as its main body. With its armor complete, it wanders the world looking for the one who betrayed them.

Small update this time, with a fakemon my friend designed:

Named Tumblite, Wumbleteed, and Brambroulette
The idea was that it would be a tumble weed, which evolves into a rolling cactus, and then finally a demonic death wheel that only a certain movie already attempted!

This has been sitting on my computer for almost a year.


Based on clay pots! The first form is more like modeling clay, able to morph and squish around its body into many shapes.
The evolved form is much more rigid, but mallable. It can throw wicked punches!

I'd love some feedback on the fakemon I have so far. I'm beginning to start work on my region + fangame, so I thought this would be an appropriate time to call for changes to their designs if necesarry ^^;

This one was a doozy to make, but I think it turned out better than I expected!

A Rock/Poison type for Smogon's CAP21.

I love the pixels you do, Sunfished! They're very impressive, even moreso to me because I wouldn't be able to understand how anyone goes about making pixels even if my life depended on it, haha.

These Halloween sprites are hella snazzy and I like how you incorporated the features of Duskull and Pumpkaboo into the trainers. Both are great!

Overall, I love how detailed your sprites can be as well. The Zoro and Shiki you posted a while ago left me in awe, dude. The latest piece is awesome too; it's a very interesting design, which convinced me that a Rock/Poison type Pokemon should totally be a thing.

Why thank you, Myystogan! I'm really anxious on it winning, so I tried my hardest on it!

Anyway, adding a few more junk:

"Koikoi", based on a myriad of classic boardgames.
Specifically, it has the bodyshape of a shogi piece, the theme of chess pieces, and the name is related to hanafuda.

And, here's my latest sprite, Ononoki from Bakemonogatari:

Kinda ehh on the legs/feet, but I have to say the dress turned out better than I had hoped.

These are 100 of my fangame's sprites, taking advantage of Pokemon Essential's support for HD graphics!

For now, they're uncolored, and have the messiest of lines, but I'll slowly go and revise them, with a few friends of mine pitching in on coloring and shading as well. I'll post a better update on these later in the future!

After a few weeks, I got 72 of them colored, with a few here and there re-sprited!

The ones that are shaded have been updated by friends of mine who are also on this project, with me only telling them what colors to use and whatnot. They're the ones responsible for the really neat sprites!

Some of the concepts are not mine, and the Tumblite line was sprited completely by a friend of mine. However, I got permission to use them!

Nice creatures ( I don't call them fakemons though because you create it~!)

Did a ton more sprites!

These are the starters to my game!
The first is Hedgecko, a chameleon able to blend in with its forest surroundings.
Next is Aardva, an armadillo that rolls up when it's scared or frightened.
Finally there's Plattle, an eccentric platypus whose curiosity gets the better of it.

Elfae, a Fairy-type.
They're all assorted into flavors!

Fooldya, a Bug-type.
It's the "fake pokeball" pokemon of my region.

Sliggibak, a Poison/Water type.
It usually treads along the ocean floor at its own pace.

Colick, a Fighting-type.
The sprout of hair on its head never stops growing, and its length is used to show dominance.

Proboby, a Grass-type.
It spends the day gathering food for its colony.

Willoweep, a Ghost/Dark type.
The mask is actually the main body, with the black parts being materialized darkness.

Hanbone, a Ghost/Rock type.
Hearing rattling on nights outside means a Hanbone is dancing nearby.

Pench, a Dark/Flying type.
Shiny things can not escape the gaze of a Pench, and will do all it can to take it.

Friwi, an Ice/Flying type.
With wings too small to fly, it usually hides itself in piles of snow when its mother is away.

Moof, a Ground-type.
These cows spend their time messing around in the mud.

Cometa, a Fairy/Dragon type.
They can be seen darting through the night sky.

Paniken, a Normal/Flying type.
They will run amok at the first sign of danger.

Carroot, a Grass-type.
This was designed by the user @Bummer from Smogon!

Pawper, a Dark-type.
It gets so dirty from playing around that it leaves behind paw-prints everywhere.

Furhok, a Normal-type.
These guys mean serious business if its hairdo gets messed up.
