Isaac had since left his dorm and was meandering through the hallways. He really had no idea what to do next. He had just gotten back to school again, and still felt 'out of it'. While still day dreaming Isaac happened upon a rather troubling scene. three Suicune kids ganging up on a Raikou student. Isaac prented not to notice and ducked around a corner.

"Specter, ready up." Isaac whispered sending out his Duskull.

"dusssssssss" Specter hissed.

"disable." Isaac said quietly.

Specter nodded and faded away like a black cloud. He floated through the walls around behind the Suicune students. Specter gave a ghostly wail and eeire glow flashed from his single eye.

"DUASSAUAAAAAA!" Specter wailed.

Valorie Ryder[/h1[

Valorie had no clue what N was talking about. It wasn't like she had studied the guy. He went on to explain his feelings regarding pokemon, though. Valorie somehow felt insulted by this. Was he implying that she treated her pokemon poorly?? She felt the need to defend herself, her way of training. Yet... another part of her didn't want to pick a fight with a teacher. That part of her feared that other students would think her a lunatic, some angry chick with no self control.

...That part of her lost.

"Wait a second..!" Valorie said, an aggrivated expression now on her face. She had declined to answer N's question.

"She /is/ mine, and you can't tell me she isn't!"

Valorie's tone was defensive and yet confrontational. Dragonair seemed to become aware of this and diverted her attention to her trainer somewhat. It... must've looked a bit silly, Valorie with no arms or legs trying to appear tough to a boy much bigger than her. She didn't seem to notice. The small ones are always the fiestiest. Perhaps Valorie hadn't thought what she had said through completely, but all she knew was that Dragonair viewed her as her /mom/. Would one tell a mother that her /human/ child was not "hers"? Truly N had stepped on a mine.

N and Kenshin Ren

The green haired boy/man gave a sigh at Valorie's outbursts. He gave her a calm solemn expression on his face as he looked back at Valorie.

Kenshin meanwhile was just sitting there in his seat getting stressed out. PLEASE just stop now. Don't cause another outburst. You're going to get us both in trouble, was what he was thinking. In an odd way, it was like he was trying to say or plead that with his eyes as he stared at Valorie.

"Let me clarify that," N began. "There are two kinds of trainers in my opinion. There are those who view their pokemon as their property and those that view their pokemon as their companions. Their family. Their friends."

He let that sink in for a few moments. He gave Valorie a . . . very serious expression on his face. "Those that view pokemon as property. . . are the weaker of the two. It doesn't matter how much care they take in maintaining and keeping their pokemon healthy and strong. Without love, without understanding one another, and without truly listening to each other. . . they are wasting their efforts."

He stood up then and looked like he was about to leave but stopped. "To answer your question earlier. . . about those two being able to control weather. . . Dratini can't. Dragonair can. Dragonairs focus a special mystical power of theirs into the crystal spheres on their necks and tails and discharge that energy to change the weather. At the same time, they could also use almost the very same concept and formula to help provide a source of light in case you found yourself lost in a dark forest or a cave. Same time the wings on their heads can enlarge to allow them to fly."

He looked up at the ceiling as if in thought, but when his thought was done and his head lowered, he did not look back down to the students. He looked towards the two pokemon instead. Any joy he had in his eyes before was gone. It was more like a blank stare like you'd see him give in the manga that may have been a bit. . . hurt?

"There is a downside to this gift. They lose this ability when they evolve into a Dragonite," he said. He looked back to Valorie and Kenshin. "Do not get me wrong. Every pokemon is fascinating in their own unique way. You see. . . no matter what your pokemon is, whether you chose to evolve them or not. . . each one is special, and has their own advantage over each other. It is all a delicate formula, pokemon battles. Filled with so many wonderous and unique variables."

He let out a heavy sigh. "But I am just rambling. You both must be tired of my words so I should go on now. There are still other students who may need my help or Drayden's. If you will excuse me."

Kenshin was just. . . dumbstruck right now. He had no clue what to say to any of this. That and N is just. . . strange. Even then, Kenshin was feeling a little guilty. He wanted to call N back and apologize but. . . well he had almost no backbone. . . not with the way Valorie was acting. So he kept his mouth shut. Like the worthless coward he thought of himself as.

Kenshin's Dratini just let out a small whimper or whine though at seeing the way his trainer was and N leaving. Seriously a sad Dratini just looks like one of the saddest and cutest things in the world. It's just so adorable in some ways.

Piccolo sensed an offended tone in this girl as she shouted a defensive retort to her comment. There was a wobble in her eyes too, as if they were searching for tears to bring out to the surface.

Sigh. Piccolo really didn't have the energy to really teach this girl what-for. She was too groggy from her slumber, the running, and that ever-so-nice trip that still made her skin ache. And just look at this girl before her, even under normal circumstances the girl would be easy to push over. Piccolo didn't like easy-to-get things. They didn't provide any satisfaction. Even Christmas barely held a spark; she got everything she wanted after waiting the whole month, but alas, her spectacular toys weren't even touched after a couple of days.

"Look. Girly." Piccolo said, raising her hand to massage the muscles on her forehead. "Just watch where you're going, okay? I'm really not in the mood for this."

Piccolo crossed her arms and held the other girl's stare for a few moments. What was she doing before all this again? Oh. Right. The boy.

"Did you know that boy that passed by here a little while ago, by any chance?" Piccolo said, pointing in the direction she was going. As she turned her head to view the path, she glimpsed something following on the path before it quickly disappeared behind a building.

Mark procceded to walk around the school as Snype scouted around for a possible route the ship would take when it finally took to the air. Last thing he needed was for the ship to sink down to the school and cause a destructive event. He never intended to hurt anyone with his pranks. What fun would that be? Mark decided to take off his Tonberry head for a bit to take a breather.

"Phew... Snype remind me to poke some air holes into this mask. It's really hot in it." Mark said, wiping his forehead with his arm. In the distance he could hear two girls arguing about... something. He didn't know what it was and it wasn't his business that was for sure. He glanced over to them for a bit when the volume was increased temporarily and turned back to mind his own business afterwards.

Halloween night wasn't coming any faster and at this point, Mark was actually growing pretty bored. He quickly remembered that he did infact have quite alot to do. He was still down to five Pokemon... He still had a team to complete! He just wasn't sure what Pokemon would fit the empty spot on his team... though he wasn't exactly equipped to go out and find Pokemon. He was in a costume after all and he wasn't going to get it destroyed by going out into the wild. Mark took that as a note to catch another Pokemon the next morning.

While Mark was pondering, Snype decided to poke at random students and their pokemon with his toy knife. Alot of the kids got a real kick out of it and knew who he was dressed up as but there was also the other half who had no idea what he was. Either way, Snype was having alot of fun with it.

Valorie Ryder

Valorie just sort of found herself glaring at N. She couldn't quite absorb what he was saying in real time, but she knew she didn't like it. What did he mean about getting them both in trouble anyway? Was he admitting to doing something wrong? Valorie just sort of hung her head a bit after N had left. After absorbing what he said for a few moments Valorie came to the conclussion that... N didn't know what he was talking about. Everyone knew where pokemon came from, right? She couldn't have been the only one that had asked her parents. The story went that a powerful deity among pokemon was the only pokemon to start with, and it created all the pokemon we know today... for the purpose of serving humans. There were few exceptions, all of which were legendary pokemon. That was why pokemon rarely attacked humans without being trained to. N made the relationship between humans and pokemon sound much worse than it actually was. Then again, what exactly had she expected from the guy who tried to seperate humans and pokemon? Meeting Valorie's expectations in this case was not a good thing, however.

On the other hand, what he'd said about Dragonair as a species had been interesting. Valorie's had certainly never used the wings on her head for... anything, really. Was that her fault? Had she accidentally taught that behavior out of Dragonair by forcing her to use her telekinetic powers instead? N hadn't said anything about either of the two floating pokemon. Perhaps she was just overthinking it.

Olivia Wolf

Olivia just sort of crossed her arms in an irritable manner, her expression something between a pout and anger. But the real question is what about that hair? Is that /real/?! She released a breath through her nose that somehow managed to sound indignant, perhaps because of it's abrupt timing after she had told Olivia to just watch where she was going. Regardless, the girl had not threatened her further, and while she was upset, she was not going to pursue the issue... yet.

"No... He looked like he was late for /something/ though."

The idea of on-campus crime was foreign to Olivia. Schools /freaked out/ when they had any reason to believe there was a criminal around. Something about legal and safety issues. She made an attempt to calm herself, taking a deep breath and releasing it. She then lowered her arms to her sides, seeming less angry. A light air of sadness pervaded her though, including her tone.

"I'm Olivia, by the way. I have a name..."

What, did she want sympathy from /Picollo/? Considering all she knew of Picollo was being called a terrible name over a mistake it might seem she was just a glutton for punishment. Or perhaps she just didn't understand?

Kenshin Ren

And Kenshin just . . . continued to remain silent as his Dratini was next to him. This girl was just . . . scary as far as anything goes. He didn't know what to do now, what SHOULD he do now. So he sat there quietly as Valorie just continued to ignore him.

"So-um. . . what should we do-" He stopped as he heard the bell ring for class to end. "O-Oh! . . . Um. . . I guess Class is over."

Kenshin sorta hesitantly packed his stuff up and sorta walked towards the entrance of the class room. "Um. . . it was nice meeting you. Bye."

And Kenshin and his dratini were now going to walk around the halls of the Academy.

N

After helping a few more students with answers to their questions and all, N packed up his own stuff and prepared to leave. He gave a slight nod to Drayden.

"It was a pleasure to see you again Spartan Mayor Drayden. I must be off now. There are some things I need to attend to."

After N leaves the classroom he walks around the academy for a few minutes. Just walking calmly by himself.

The Suicune dorm kid known as Bryce smirked. "Prepare to lose! Zangoose, use Work U-" he said, but was interrupted when something appeared behind them. Zangoose, however, understood what its master said and used Work Up to enhance its attack power.

"DUASSAUAAAAAA!" the thing wailed, revealing to be a Duskull.

"Bryce, watch out!" Derby said and Bryce jumped out of the way as the other two dorm kids were petrified. "Duskull, use Dark Pulse!" Jimmy then said, and a dark thing that came from Grim hit Bryce's Zangoose right before both kids noticed the Duskull behind of them.

"What the...?" Bryce and Jimmy said in unison, "Who the hell is that?!"

"That'd be Specter and this is called leveling the playing field. You Suicunes need to get a life. You're supposed to be the best but you're really just a bunch of stuck up rich kids, so yeah ranting aside, Specter shall we show thme how we do it in Johto? Dusk fall!" Isaac ordered jumping back around the corner.

Specter blasted up a Dark Pulse filling the hallway with shadows. everything was pitch black except for Specter and Grim's eyes. There was a quiet whisper that sounded like wind wafting through the air. Instantly Specter's eye darted around as he flew around the room. He mezmorized the boys and their pokemon using confusee ray then used thief pullining off the boys belts and dropping their pants to the floor. suddenly the lights returned and the Suicune kids were still dazed from confuse ray.

"...Well that was unexpected... Yeah uh... normal he just uses night shade and knocks out..." Isaac said, but Specter interupted using nightshade to knock Zangoose into the wall, "yeah he does that..."

Bryce's Zangoose got up and charged at the new Duskull, but because of its confusion it kept going and hit the other wall. It struggled to stay up but it tripped over and fell on its head, getting knocked out. Bryce and the other two kids were lying on the floor, pants down, drooling because of the confuse ray.

Jimmy turned to the guy who had just appeared. And he didn't look happy. In fact, he looked upset because of what had happened.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Jimmy yelled at the newcomer, "I had these fools, I was gonna teach them another lesson!"

Skye

Naturally seeing the opening, Skye didn't hesitate. Rei turned her head to face the creature on her back the best she could. Confusion sure was a pain wasn't it? Why not mess with the Quilava some more? Skye didn't make a sound; he didn't need to. Rei opened her mouth and gathered a ball of water there. She released it in a pulse toward Quillie.

Skye didn't check to watch if it worked. He was too busy watching Pala. Thankfully, Rama was padding over to the young-minded bear cub. "Come on brat, leave the big stupid plant alone," he muttered, grabbing her by the scruff of her neck and dragging her away.

Pala let out a whine. "But Rama..."

"No buts," the fox replied curtly. "That guy would eat you for lunch. That would make Skye very sad. You don't want that right?"

"Well no..."
She pawed the air. "But that guy's bad."

Rama sighed."Remind me to teach you about the grey line kid. He's not a great dude, that uppity little Grovyle, but he ain't bad either. The world ain't that simple."

"He's bad!"
Pala insisted emphatically. Rama groaned through the fur. Why was he babysitting the runt? He was going to get Ellie for this.

"heh, you act like these guys were going to play fair. You think just because most problem are resolved with pokemon this wasn't going to end in a fist fight? Why would they bring atlas over there? you think those muslces help him train his pokemon? Suicune's a low when it comes to revenge. Don't expect anything more, but always expect less." Isaac said returning Specter and walking off.

To be perfectly honest Isaac knew that training yourself with your pokemon was a great way to strengthen them, he;d done it for years, but those Suicunes would never get their own hands dirty. they were the highest and the lowest of the school. Isaac was convinced that almost all the Suicunes got in through their parents bribing the facuilty. He'd gotten in through hard work and only made it to the Entei dorm. Isaac was feeling a bit more conflicted then usual as he continued to walk away.

Quillie

The Water Pulse it the Quilava almost spot on which sent him flying across the ground. He landed with a big thud and looked up, everything was back to normal now thanks to the coldness of the water-move. Quillie got up on his feet, he felt very exhausted and just stood around, panting for about a minute. His eyes lit up in a clear, firey colour and his flames grew bigger and bigger. Quillie let out a howl, his Blaze ability had activated, too bad that he couldn't even use the only fire-type attack that he had. Or could he? As far as Quillie knew, Eruption didn't work out at all when he was a Cyndaquil, but now, he was a Quilava! The evolution had given him a boost in power as well as in confidence, although the latter seemed a little unusual taking Quillie's huge overconfident ego in account.

The Quilava smirked, he opened his mouth and started ro charge up the attack. A ball of red energy started to develop in his mouth, but as it grew bigger and bigger, Quillie started to sweat violently. Seems that he didn't have as much control over the attack as he thought. Quillie quickly sent out the uncharged Eruption towards Rei, it landed a few feet away from her and would've just scratched her if it somehow hit.

Maxwell

Maxwell frowned, seemed Quillie was in over his head again. The masked boy facepalmed and turned to his girlfriend,
"Um Genevieve? This may sound completely out of the blue but... How much do you know about Tympoles?" he asked.

Isaac had stopped for a moment wondering if the other kid would come along, but decided he had better things to do. He'd overheard some students talking about battlefield twelve, and planned to check it out later. Isaac returned to his dorm and packed his satchel with some basics and set out. Before he visited the battlefield there were some other stops he planned to make, so he never could be too prepared. Isaac planned to stop by Oak town, and see what was what there before heading to this supposedly "awesome" battlefield.

(OOC: anyone got specifics on battlefield 12?)

Mark stopped and began to think about that last night. The dance and everything else before it. He still couldn't believe that Sel of all people would have went out and attacked him like that and with the way she went about it, Mark wasn't going to be as forgiving as usual if he did see her again. Mackenzie mentioned that she and Val were together which Mark thought was ridiculous at first. But with all that's happened he wasn't sure what to believe. He decided to shrug it off for now. No sense thinking about the past on a fun day like Halloween and he wasn't going to confront either of them about the situation today either. He couldn't help but feel lonely for a moment though...

There was also the matter of getting tutoring for some more advanced battle techniques. Mark wanted to get better and he realized that he had ALOT to learn. It was a matter of knowing where to start...

As Mark wandered about, Snype quickly crawled over to where the two arguing girls were and gave them both a small poke with his toy knife in their legs, still keeping in character as Tonberry. Afterwards he quickly went back to Mark.

"Comon Snype are you planning to do that to every person that crosses your vision?" Mark said. Snype responded by jumping up to Mark and poking his cheek lightly with his toy knife.

"Haha... I'll take that as a yes. How's bout we head to the Pokemon Center? We should pick up some supplies. It's been awhile since we did." Mark said. Snype nodded and the two began to head off in that direction.

"Oh. Hi then. I'm Piccolo South. Charmed I'm sure." Piccolo said, adding that ever so potent sting of sarcasm in her tone.

She noticed the cute little skitty near the girl's feet. Iodine peered over at the cute cat and smiled, waving its hand shyly. Piccolo threw her hand in front of the psychic Pokémon, who shuttered and immediately stood still.

"Now, now, Iodine. Don't associate yourself with them." Piccolo advised before picking the little creature up with her forearm. "I'm going to find that boy. He needs a taste of his own medicine."

And with that, Piccolo turned and walked towards the path, trying to pretend that encounter didn't happen. How pointless that was. Now she would never find that boy. But was she too stubborn to not try anyway? Absolutely.

Jimmy didn't listen to Isaac when he talked to him, as his anger was blocking his mind. "Humph. Whatever." Jimmy said as he watched the kid walk away from him, an angry look in his eyes as he turned to the Suicune dorm kids that were lying on the floor with their pants off, "I guess I'll kick your asses later, when nobody interrupts me. This ain't over. C'mon, Grim, Starr, Smokey, let's go."

Then he walked away, his three Pokémon walking behind me as he roamed the school, looking for someone to tell him where he could go train.

(Battlefield 12 is connected to the mainland by two thin bridges just near the academy. It's a small battlefield just off the shore. Ask this stuff in the OOC thread though. o-o)

Valorie Ryder

Valorie just sort of... watched as Kenshin pretended not to see the pink elephant in the room in the most dramatic and least effective way possible and scurried off to do... something.

"..."

Deciding to let it go Valorie attempted to get up and leave only to immediately fall out of her chair when she tried. The reasons of course should've been obvious by now, that her costume didn't allow her use of her feet. Meanwhile, a puzzled Drayden trying to figure out why N had addressed him the way he had had his attention grabbed and just sort of waited for a moment to see if something needed his intervention. Dragonair hovered over Valorie and surveyed her with a mix of curiosity and concern. Valorie, letting out a brief groan before speaking, lightly called out for Dragonair to help her up. Dragonair obliged with an expression of glee, lifting Valorie into the air and rotating her into a position to seat her upon her back. Valorie was thankful Dragonair was mostly used to being ridden already. She supposed young minds learned the best, or something like that. Hadn't she heard that from someone somewhere? Meanwhile Drayden observed Dragonair displaying her telekinetic abilities and raised his eyebrows in mild surprise. Not even Drayden, a dragon expert, knew much about that. Given, this was because he had never had a chance to raise a dratini of his own.

Now, how was she going to spend this holiday? Thoughts ran through her head of the various things she could do and people she could see. Battles she could have. People she could hang out with. The thing being? The more she thought about it, the more she... frowned. She wasn't a fan of haunted houses. She'd only embarrass herself playing sports. Battling oddly enough didn't appeal to her today. Part of it was that while these costumes were suitable to be worn, they were not good for battle as they had a tendency to restrict movement.

"Let's head outside, Dragonair..."

And so it was that Valorie made her way outside, taking off into the sky. For a brief moment she thought she heard someone calling her, but shrugged it off as her imagination.

Pryce

Not all that long later...

N would be approached by an older looking teacher, Pryce. Pryce seemed rather concerned about something, and carrying a suicune dorm jacket in one arm. What was he doing with that? He seemed to take notice of N though.

"Greetings. I'm Pryce. You're a teacher, right? I could use your help..."

He seemed to be in a bit of a rush, but he stopped to wait for N's response none-the-less.

Olivia Wolf

Meanwhile Olivia just sort of watched Picollo go off in search of that boy. She couldn't help but wonder what was so interesting about him though. Didn't lots of people run to get places at times? She didn't put too much thought into it though and proceeded to go on her way again. She silently wondered how long it would be until classes started getting out. Little did she know that it was already starting to happen now.

N

N looked at the older looking man who introduced himself. He must be a teacher, N thought to himself. The man looked to be at least in his 70's, though it wouldn't surprise N if he was much older than that. N wondered what it could be that Pryce needed help with. . . however he was beginning to get a suspicious idea of what it could've been when he noticed the suicune dorm jacket.

"I see. My name is N, and I am an intern. Would this issue be related to the possibility of a missing student?" he asked as he pointed to the jacket on Pryce's arm.

Kenshin Ren

Kenshin just continued to walk on by himself with his Dratini through the halls of the Academy. He learned kinda a lot about his Dratini in terms of what the species could do and all. That and it looked like his Dratini made a new friend in that class. While he is somewhat intimidated by Valorie and Drayden, maybe he'll attend the Dragon class for Dratini's sake.

"Hmm. . . Hey Dratini?" he began as he looked to the dragon pokemon floating next to him.

The Dratini looked at Kenshin when he was called.

"Would you like to go back to that class again in the future?" Kenshin asked.

Dratini just gave a gleeful noise in response.

Kenshin laughed at Dratini's cheeriness. "Alright. If that's what you want then we can totally do that."

After all, minus that one girl, the class wasn't too bad.

"Hey, how about we hurry to the base for a bit huh?" he said to his Dratini.

Dratini nodded and just flew off towards one direction.

"H-HEY! WAIT DRATINI COME BACK!" Kenshin said as he ran after his pokemon.

Sadly as Kenshin was running after his Dratini, he accidentally crashed into a girl with a Skitty and just fell to the ground. Dratini stopped in the air and looked down at the accident he had unfortunately caused for his Trainer.

"Owww. . . " It took Kenshin a few moments to realize what just happened.

"OH CRAP! I'M SO SORRY!" he cried out when he realized he crashed into Olivia. He quickly got up and helped her up as best as he could, all the while repeatedly saying "I'm Sorry" over and over again. Poor kid looked pretty upset.

Takumi Ryuuhiko

Takumi on the other hand is beginning to walk around the academy on his own as he began contemplating where he should next train, and which of his pokemon to train as a result.

Hmm. . . Dead Forest wouldn't be a terrible place to train the new Deino I caught. The forests are rather well for Charmeleon. Same could be said for Lucario and Metang. . . but where else could I possibly go? The mountains I could also use for good training grounds. . . And I do not desire to head back to the Lugia Dorm till I am certain my pokemon are strong enough to take on the wild pokemon there.

Despite being focused on his own thoughts, others may approach him.

On the way to the Pokemon Center, Mark finally saw a familiar face along the way. Valorie was seen walking out of one of the doors. Must have just gotten out of class. Mark was at least glad to see a friend today though. He had no idea what the rest of his friends were up to after all so it was as good of a time as ever to start being social.

"Hey Val." Mark said as he walked by. He still had his head piece off though Snype was still fully dressed in his Tonberry costume.

"How'd classes go for you today? I've been wandering around with Snype here. Halloween is pretty boring in the morning ya know? The wait can be unbearable sometimes." Mark said, trying to engage in some conversation. Meanwhile, Snype poked Valorie's leg with his toy knife.
