Nate

I shrug slightly as we step off the carriage into the woods, ignoring the fact that this madman in robes had just jumped off the carriage and starting killing soldiers, highly unnecessary but quite the exit to be sure. Calci begins to order us around, telling us to do stuff, and for me to take watch. Suddenly, once again I'm having a vision. Not as dark honestly, yet the experience is familiar. The blackness stops and I see time passing oh so quickly, and in a few seconds it's dawn. I feel like I've just skipped a whole day, but I know this is just a vision, as that guy explained earlier I have the power to see the future and read minds. See the future. So I guess I won't be taking watch tonight – nobody will. I guess that's a load of my mind, but honestly, that guy, Calci, is so scary. He's the only name I can remember at the moment, the rest are just there I guess. I don't need to remember names, I'm not here to make friends. I need to remind myself that.

I feel like telling him, for the sake of getting some sleep. Perhaps I should. Why not. The sun is slowly setting, it will be dark soon, and I really want to sleep tonight. Or maybe, I'll just make that other name - who was it? Ms. Kagura? - Work the night shift while I doze off. Hey I'm sixteen and cute, I'm sure if I fall asleep they'll just smile and pass by without a care. Kitty on the other hand may have a difficulty. Ah whatever, they know I have the power, and this is only for Kitty. Otherwise, making the rest fill with fatigue would be a great asset to our side.

"Calci was it, yeah well. My powers new and stuff, I know that much, so I'm not sure how accurate things are, but I saw a vision, probably because I really want sleep, but the camp won't be seen tonight by anything, we're okay until the break of dawn, which is when my vision ended." I scratch the back of my head with a smile as I look up at the man.

Iziel Arias

Pulling his scarf down, Iziel shook his head. "I can't bake here, we lack an oven!" He cried, laughing. "But yes, I can certainly cook something for all of us." He turned to face his sous-chef as they got off the carriage. "You heard the man, Anton. Let's get to work. Also... I wouldn't count Anton as a recruit. More like he has a temporary position for now, and as soon as he's done with tomorrow's breakfast- or whatever we'll have tomorrow- he's gone at the break of dawn. We're not too far from the restaurant at this point, and I'll send him back later... to keep the restaurant running."

Anton stayed in his place, silent and now sitting on the dirt-laden floor as Iziel continued speaking.

"However, I consider myself a recruit. So, you know, you still have a... erm, I guess you would call it a 'Power Breaker,' huh?" At this point, Anton seemed as if he wanted to speak; however, he refrained from doing so, biting his lower lip. "Regardless, I'll get to that dinner now." Iziel then left, tapping Anton's shoulder, who thus proceeded to get up and walk along. Meanwhile, Iziel's book glowed within Anton's eyesight, recording the many ideas and important points that occurred during the eventful day. This spurs an idea in his [Anton's] mind, but he decides against it- and Iziel lifts the food out of the carriage to begin his cooking spree.

[---]

"Anton, knife."

"Spoon."

"Get some firewood, Anton."

"Go, hurry up! We need to make some food for these guys! A starving rebel is not a strong rebel!"

The many quotes spun in Anton's head as he sat and gave Iziel extra firewood so that the food would be ready faster, "Here ya' go, 'Ziel." He was no longer silent, but he was still rather disturbed. "What are we making again?"

"Beef stew." Arias sighed quietly. "I'm leaving the greens for tomorrow. Luckily we have some potatoes, and peppers, and a bunch of other stuff I scavenged in case."

"In case?!" Anton stared at him. "You carry all that stuff in case?!

"You better take note, Anton. This is the work of a- dammit!! Get me some water, Anton, or it's gonna burn!" Anton gave him a few canteens of water. "No, no! This won't do, it's drinking water! Gah, no no no!" Quickly, Iziel held the pot with his gloves on, and pulled it off the fire. Sticking a spoon into it, he tasted it quickly. "Hot, but not burnt... phew." Iziel then looked at the fire, now large and illuminating the quickly darkening landscape. "That'll actually do, and it isn't big enough to start a forest fire, from experience. Still, put some rocks around it as I get to serving this..." Anton placed pebbles among other, large rocks around the fire as Iziel served the hot stew with cold rice in a bowl, then made servings for all ten of them.

"Although it isn't my best work, and may not be entirely worthy of the Exile, it'll do," Iziel said, sighing. "Dinner, get it while it's hot!"

(OOC: I'm going to guess this takes place half to a full hour after the last post, so if conversations are to be carried over this can be ignored for a bit)

Talos and Calci return with the firewood and start a fire as Iziel calls for dinner. The group gathers their plates from the carriage and start to load up on food as Ura and Cad approach from the shadows. Cad and Ura take their plates as Calci began a fire and motioned both Iziel and anton to join them. Ura stood to speak; "Alright, with the current amount of forces we have here. We have enough people to form a unit in order to take down Ovan and the book of Chains. For the next few month's, Ovan will be using his own power to rise up in his country in order to attain whatever goal he seeks whether to do it by murder, marriage, bribe. This I predict he will keep doing until he controls all of diligent. For the next 3 days, I will be training all of you how to utilize your powers to their full potential, starting first dawn. After which, we will be breaking out of the blockade that is closing off the entire country from leaving and make our way to Diligent. On our arrival, we will be training there while at the same time, impeding Ovan's progress to prolong his goals until we are able to attain a suitable amount of power to go against both his armies and himself. This will be one messed up emotional and mental roller coaster ride of a lifetime and I plan to help each and everyone of you to get through your own curses for better or for worse. Calci and Cad, are two military men from Diligent, they will be able to teach you how they fight, how they strategize and how Diligent even operates. They will help us overcome the numbers we face and improve the odds to work in our favor." Talos raised his hand, feeling nervous about the odds Ura was talking about. "How can we make any difference, even with our pow-" Ura glared at Talos with piercing, glowing yellow eyes. "You, as the book carriers carry more power than you can even begin to fathom. When you are ready, we will be able to fend off Ovan's military without a scratch and you will have a fighting chance to take him on one on one if the situation arises. On my grave, this I swear it."

Iziel Arias

Arias and Anton approached with their bowls and sat by the fire, both hungry and interested in devouring

Arias's slow eating was rather silent, chewing the beef with a bit of increase in his self-respect; rare were the times where he ate his own food that he prepared regularly for the restaurant. The beef stew, believe it or not, was actually usually prepared for the restaurant; his own diet consisted of bread and meat and vegetables, but it would all be quickly thrown together. It certainly explained how he was thin while he ran a restaurant. However, the food that he was eating now was an improvement from his usual in-a-rush diet.

Anton, on the other hand, ate the food heartily, listening to everything that was happening around him. He mumbled incoherently about the training, but he didn't make any public qualms; he would, for sure, sneak out if he wasn't allowed out. The food he ate was actually a bit of a drop in standard; Anton's regular diet consisted of the best-cooked things from Iziel's restaurant, hence why his respect for Arias slightly dropped. Then remembering that books weren't without curses, and factoring in everything he had heard, his respect for Arias raised once again. He continued to eat through the speech.

It was after the speech where Arias simply finished his food and yawned. "Regardless of what we're doing tomorrow, it would be best to sleep early as to have energy for training. I'll leave the food out for those who want second. Once everyone serves themselves, make sure you close it all up and preserve the food, it'll serve us well later. Good night!" His cheery parting left him to find a few warm blankets he had brought with him. Taking one, he spread it out near the fire, laid down, and rolled over to face away from the fire. But he didn't sleep. In fact, he ended up at the stars instead, mulling over the past events.

Anton simply shivered and sat awkwardly. "Erm..." He continued to eat, hoping he was ignored.

((OOC: jsyk: Arias doesn't snore, but Anton does))

(Look, I know I have been slugging. I have been working for 4 days straight with very little sleep and ability to kick back even. I greatly apologize and want this RP to continue living, badly.)

As the group slept, Nate looks over them with mischievous intent until a voice popped into his head, in an attempt to stop him. 'Don't do it Nate. It is I, Ovan... I have been studying the further extent of my powers through my book and have discovered something very interesting. I am communicating through to you telepathically by borrowing your power using the book I currently have hold of. I have seen the events through their eyes using your power as well and I do not like the outcome of what happens with the elderly man... I want you to return to Diligent, head southeast through the woods and make your way to the shore line, I have setup an escape point through the blockade, however, you will have 3 days before your window of opportunity to leave Yovo fades... And do not make an attempt on the old man's life, I have sources indicating he wiped out a mass amount of forces back in the village during your escape; he could even be keeping an eye on us as we speak... travel with them if you must by morning, but you must break from the group and return. I have need of you and your crew's talents for another task at hand.'

The sun dawns over the horizon as Ura stretches his arms and looks over his squad. Poking Calci awake and Cad; he began issuing today's agenda. "Calci, I want you to take Anton back to town towards the Cafe. I prefer to keep my promise to Iziel to be sure he is returned safely and promptly. Taking him wit us could cause a few casualties in an attempt to defend him." Calci nods as he walks over to wake up Anton as Ura walks over to the smoldering smoke of the campfire. "ALRIGHT! RISE AND SHINE! FIRST DAY OF TRAINING! BEST PRACTICE IS ON THE JOB PRACTICE! I WANT EVERYONE UP NOW!"

Iziel Arias

Anton woke up grumpily; he tossed and turned a few times, before rubbing an eye and seeing Ura give orders like they were free samples. It's like boot camp all over again... and I had sworn I wouldn't go to the army afterwards... He looked to the side to see Arias standing up and ready, as if he were awake this whole time. How the hell does he do that?! Arias turned to him, a bit tired, and grinned. Anton simply shook his head, almost trying to make sure that he was awake so early. He poked him once or twice, before looking forwards and realizing Calci coming for him. "Oh... so you're my escort? Alright then..." He grabbed an apple from his bag and munched into it. "Lead the way, guy. I don't care how long we take, 'cause I have to get these papers to the city before I can start up the restaurant again."

Arias remembers one last thing before Anton leaves. "Don't use my apartment, okay?!" He yells, before turning to Ura, then quickly sighing and sitting cross-legged on the ground. "S'pose I should wait for everyone else first..." He waits quietly for the next bit of instruction.

Talos awakes promptly and stands before Ura. The old man in the mask chuckles. "Your the first 2 up so I'll start with your training first." Ura beckons both of the boys to come closer and asks them to open their hands. Ura then paint's dot's at the center of each of them. "The key to using the power bestowed to you is focus. We are going to attempt some control practice first... Talos; I want you to focus on the dot I paint at the palm of your hand and to continue to fixate your attention to this dot until you can form a ball of snow. Back on the shore, you were able to make us a boat of ice with the use of the sea water, this time, you are going to form ice out of thin air without the aid of elements. Get past this and we can start talking about combat techniques for yourself and start developing a small atmosphere we can use for our fury user so she doesn't burn anything on our travels." Ura turns to Anton and hands him a bag of coal. "Your practice is on control as well. Using your own super strength, I want you to make the attempt to compress the coal into diamonds. With the right pressure and focus towards your palm; you should be able to form a 5 karat diamond. Once you've done this, we can work on your curse and control which skills you can lose and which to keep while getting in some basic martial arts... Your curse should be easy to manage, however when you get half way through, then there's nothing else I'll be able to do for you, you'll have to relearn on your own." Ura backs away to view both men. "Control is the first step to using your power efficiently. If you have no control, you'll use up your energy before you get into the main fight of a battle."Ura walks around, attempting to wake up the other members of the group.
